I had to make a very quick data edit after the deadline, because it turned out that one of the rooms near the end could not be completed. It's fixed now, and you can finish the game properly.

salmonmoose 2014-12-08 03:58

Clever interpretation of the theme, finishing off room 4 I thought I was at the end of the game - and then, there was more.

Perhaps making everything stuck to the grid, several puzzles were tricky due to floating boulders and trying to line them up.

komjaur 2014-12-08 04:08

nice game but restart system would be nice :D

bcole99 2014-12-08 04:10

Interesting concept. It was tricky to line up some of the boulders, and that probably made the game more difficult than it needed to be. Reminds me a lot of the lolo games.

banestar007 2014-12-08 04:13

I get that your game never leaves the screen, but the rooms do. Cool Idea.
My Key fell out of the world (gravity->right) had to stop.

mrexcessive 2014-12-08 17:39

Hi there. Clever the way you reuse screen, nice idea. Escalation of puzzles also good, nice level designs. Like the sounds and graphics too. Good job!

schnerble 2014-12-08 20:46

Thanks for the feedback! I think I'll try to make a small post-compo update soon with an added restart system, more forgiving boulder rolling, and perhaps a couple of fixes like trying to stop keys flying out of the level (: (though if you get a chance to let me know where it happened, that'd make things much easier to reproduce - thanks!)

zwergesel 2014-12-11 16:09

Great concept, fitting the theme very well! Make the player and boulders stay in the grid and add a checkpoint feature and it would be awesome. As it is I didn't have the motivation to play all the way from the beginning once I got stuck.

rzuf 2014-12-12 22:54

Nice concept. Collisions are broken (possibly when fps is low, I'm playing on a crappy netbook), and it's too easy to make a room unbeatable by misplacing rocks.
Good game! Will be awesome when bug-free!

pjimmy 2014-12-13 18:26

love it, simple but fun and original mechanics, well done

schnerble 2014-12-15 05:00

Thanks all! Fair comments - collisions are a bit off, partly because it's all rectangle-based, and I had to shrink the collision area a bit to make it at all possible to align things. I've added a post-compo version where you can restart rooms, so hopefully that will at least improve things! (it's accessible through the same link)

empyrealhell 2014-12-15 06:03

That was pretty decently fun, if a little rough around the edges. The collision felt weird, and the wall bashing felt really stiff, but it was playable. The puzzles weren't bad, though I wasn't able to figure out how to beat one of the rooms. It would have been nice to have the boulders move in a more natural way around the tiles, specifically rolling over corners so you didn't have to line up their bounding box to the tiles. Overall a pretty good puzzle game.

daviosmash 2014-12-15 06:46

Definitely a very raw game, felt off a lot of the time, but a fun game nonetheless.

budaniel 2014-12-15 06:48

Got stuck in the walls a few times, and some general collision detection issues arose, but other than that it was a solid little entry.

madlee 2014-12-15 06:53

Nice game! The controls were a little mushy, but they worked. I liked especially how the puzzle of some rooms incorporated elements of the previous room. Good job!

xanjos 2014-12-15 15:10

Fun concept and nice interpretation of the theme. Puzzles were really well designed (That one with the single boulder is ridiculously hard or maybe my timing is really bad XD).

schnerble 2014-12-15 21:12

Thanks! Yeah, the single boulder one is tricky... it was also the one that was initially unfinishable, because I'd run out of time for playtesting (i.e., there were three minutes until the deadline and I had to submit). It's still probably the toughest room, and most likely stops a lot of people on the regular, non-post-compo version, as it's hard to do without retrying. A quick touch of one switch and then the other will do it, though : )

sos 2014-12-15 22:43

Oh man! I love running into walls!

yosh 2014-12-16 06:39

Nice little game! I ended up playing the post-compo version after making a mistake in the original version and not being able to restart the level. Though I totally appreciate your honesty here, I believe the ability to restart could totally be incorporated in the first version without considering that "cheating" :)

Bonus points for:
- Web;
- All the animations;
- Innovation!

Good job!

karlipoppins 2014-12-16 07:08

Nice puzzle game! I enjoyed each room's increasing difficulty. It's fun to play and quite easy to grasp. Lacks some music and I felt like keeping the controls restrained to a grid might have been easier. (instead of smooth movement accross the entire map) Great game though!

benmcnelly 2014-12-16 07:09

I am a sucker for these type of games :p nice work!

sublustris 2014-12-16 07:28

Cool game

zncatlaw 2014-12-16 07:47

This was nice. I liked the effect of having the levels fade away when I left them. The gravity puzzles were cool too!

igoramendola 2014-12-16 18:38

I won!! \o/
Really nice puzzle game. Although has some bugs with collisions, it's a great entry... specially the interpretation of the theme. Some rooms are challenging and that's good ^^
If you're going to keep working on it, you could include some kind of puzzle on solved rooms during the Anticlockwise... to increase the challenge! haha :D

calavera 2014-12-16 20:54

On my mac i was unable to see any of the room but still interact. On my PC I got stuck but I enjoyed the puzzle

schnerble 2014-12-18 06:37

Thanks for all the feedback!
Calavera: sorry it didn't work on your Mac... I don't have one to test on unfortunately, but maybe I'll borrow someone's iPad sometime and see if I can see what's happening. Did you get stuck on the single boulder room? That seems the toughest (to me too).
Igoramendola: you might be the first to win! :) (I don't know - it was very hard before I put the restarting in) Yes, the collisions aren't great, and I might need to try something different next time. Yeah, I wanted to put something special in Anticlockwise, but ran out of time :) (maybe in a post-post-compo version...)

schnerble 2014-12-18 06:37

(by the way, obviously I'm not assuming that an iPad and a Mac will do the same thing... I think I just have a better chance of borrowing one, and they should at least be similar!)

igoramendola 2014-12-18 19:50

yay! I like to finish games.
and would be interesting a post-post-compo version ^^

hippolyta 2014-12-21 02:40

Very nice puzzler game! I really liked the complete game - it reminded my of the good old times and was fun. ;-)

Very well done!

donovanwu 2014-12-21 04:00

Fun little game! I like how you put different levels on one screen and how things in one level can go to another level! Nice work!

dunin 2014-12-22 12:17

nice concept. I haven't finished it (stuck after the anticlockwise...). But cool game, and nice hard puzzle!
(maybe the rocks moving could be grid-based, sometimes we get stuck just for a bad movement...)

schnerble 2014-12-23 00:02

Thanks all. Dunin: I think you almost finished it! (In anticlockwise you just need to go back to the start again - that's all)
