Really good job, man! But I can't beat third level. I think there is bug. When I evolved to yellow, I die by yellow blocks despite of my cube is yellow. But I very impressed with step by step tatctic gameplay. Really good!

Same here, love the theme, music and graphic style. Would like to keep going past level 3.

@SaintHeiser @gregdevice The orange colour is very similar to the yellow colour at certain monitor brightnesses and orange will be destroyed by yellow this is bad graphical design on my part.

Regarding level 3. You can get passed all enemy blocks on that level without taking/destroying them. The trick is timing and observing how the enemy blocks move. They always pause for one turn when they meet a wall before moving in a different direction. You can move into a wall to skip a turn while waiting for the right moment to move passed an enemy block. Thats the trick to getting passed the orange block in the corridor of this level.

Thanks for the comments guys!

Great puzzle game! It took me a while to get past the third one, but I could make it to the 5th :)

Nice to see Unity4 exports properly to Linux!

at first I was meh but then woot, very interesting gameplay, you need to play a bit for get it =D

imef 2012-09-01 00:50

Great game! I had lots of fun playing that!

enigmablade 2012-09-01 01:04

That was amazingly fun, but also very hard. I love it! (Also unlike the other people commenting, I was able to make it past level 3.)

really nice game from the graphics style, sound and game idea. love the round-based movements. though takes some time to get used to. sometimes stood still to wait for the red cube to move away until i remember nothing will happen until i move :-D

Great puzzle idea, and awesome graphics to boot. If you try hard enough, you can walk through walls. Took me a while to figure out what was going on, but I found it quite fun once I did. Beat it twice.

Well done. Everything fit together really well, the game is very fun and very polished up.

Very nice game, but couldn't beat level 3? Seemed like a bug.

savethejets1 2012-09-09 18:34

Wow, really cool game. I got past level 3 so it is possible. :D

walt 2012-09-09 18:38

great game! once i read the move-skip trick i got along nicely, didn't figure that out on my own. nicely focused and well executed!

heuermh 2012-09-13 04:18

Very fun, got stuck/gave up at level 8.

airdeck 2012-09-16 04:12

Seemed pretty simple at first, but got challenging later on. Had a lot of fun playing this. Would love to see a post-compo version with more than10 epochs.

tumoxep 2012-09-16 05:21

Awesome. Fives in all fields.

matthias_zarzecki 2012-09-16 13:09

Love the pickup-effect! Music is also quite cool.

kratorspore 2012-09-16 22:59

Wow! Thanks for all this feedback! @airdeck yeah I think with some improved level design this game idea might have legs. I'm currently working on a full game now with more, better designed levels and such.

It lags badly on linux and... wait, Unity, HOW?
And then it is maybe the shaders, since I have only software GLSL support. I will try this later on pc...

Love the Tron mood! I have pastel color-blindness so I had to figure out what some of the closely-colored guards and levels really represented by trial and error some times. I was still able to beat the game with a bit of perserverence. It could be that some of the other reviewers are also color-blind, or it could be that your game is buggy and I took for granted that there were really more colors than I could perceive. It might be nice if you included some texture-changing or something to help differentiate the closer colors.

Overall, it's a great game and a fairly innovative mechanic. I was impressed with the level design; although you don't make it easy ;).
