All I get an error message saying "RPGVXAce RTP is required to play this game" =(

steelraven7 2012-08-27 12:19

Getting the same error as agersant :(

perry 2012-08-27 12:40

Same error

r4m0n 2012-08-27 12:43

You can download the RPGVXAce RTP here: http://www.rpgmakerweb.com/download/run-time-package

foxfiesta 2012-08-27 12:54

Error fixed, you don't need to download the RTP anymore. I'm extremely sorry.

madpew 2012-08-27 12:55

same error here. besides to that, if this is a compo entry you have to add your sourcecode as well (see rules)

madpew 2012-08-27 12:58

Sorry to bother you again: Unable to find file:
Graphics/Characters/Vehicle, after selecting New Game.

foxfiesta 2012-08-27 13:02

Yep, it's fixed redownload it, now no problem normally. Thanks for your patience

foxfiesta 2012-08-27 13:03

About the source code : the game is made with RPG Maker, you can open the game with this program.

entity2d 2012-08-27 13:28

I'm not sure it fits the theme too well, but I loved this game. I especially liked the part where you have to escape the castle.

I will try to remove accents when I will be back at home. (but it seems that english systems can run it)

foxfiesta 2012-08-27 16:26

Problem solved. You can now play entirely even if your system doesn't supports accents. (é) Thanks again for your patience ;)

Really great game, complete with a great atmosphere. Feels like its got nothing to do with Evolution tho. Good work all the same! Enjoyed it thoroughly.

nostradamon 2012-08-27 18:31

Very cool game! I liked the shaking effect :)

josefnpat 2012-08-27 21:28

This looked like a cool game, and I tried it in wine via linux, but it blew up :( sorry!

Great puzzle exploration game, love the evolving avatar, golden upgrades was a really nice touch

dalbinblue 2012-08-28 00:27

Fun game. I was starting to think it was going slow then I got to the last area.

As a note, the fireball(?) projectiles shot out were really small and hard to see so I ran in to them often and had to restart. I would suggest making the projectile bigger or zooming the level in a bit more (i.e. instead of having nearly 3/4 of the viewport black, zoom the graphics so that the circle takes most of the visible area).

foxfiesta 2012-08-28 09:51

Thank you for your comments guys ! I really appreciate it, and I'm happy that you liked the game !
And sorry josefnpat, but I can't do anything for you. :(

depp 2012-08-28 10:55

Sweet! I am seriously impressed with the "script" as it were -- I know how hard it is to make some kind of coherent narrative in a game in only 48 hours.

nickolai51 2012-08-28 11:04

Really Awesome Game! Possibly my favorite so far... I can clearly see you wanted the 'Castles' theme though xD

kyyrma 2012-08-28 11:09

This was very good. A complete game with consistent art and gameplay. You set the mood well throughout, and the sand slowly consuming the castle was great. It felt like there was a story, even if there was no dialogue whatsoever.

The only thing you could've done better is to tie the game more into the compo theme.

One of my favourites so far :)

chumez 2012-08-28 12:32

Great game, it takes a moment to figure out what certain things do, but then it becomes intuitive. Very nice mood, graphics and the background music really set the scene nicely. Good job.

cappagames 2012-08-28 18:15

Is that Figaro Castle from FF6? That's the first thing I though of when I seen that.

foxfiesta 2012-08-28 20:58

Eheh, I suck at graphics, so yeah it was my model/inspiration. I'm surprised that you recognized it ! :D

I really liked this game - the minimal graphics suited it really well! The music was pleasant too, but I think the final level could have given the player more time or been a little easier. Still, great effort :)

flyingbear 2012-09-03 06:14

Nice little adventure. It felt very old school in a good way. The sounds in this game were very satisfying for some reason.

sev_inf 2012-09-08 13:04

Great game, thanks for making it:)

jaj 2012-09-08 14:46

Very good! I love exporation games like this and the mood was very nice. I didn't finish what I assume was the final level, because I couldn't beat it. I don't think the controls were tight enough to pull that kind of level design off without it getting too frustrating for the player.

papygaragos 2012-09-09 11:31

Nice game. The music was great but i found the sound effets 'aggressive'. too loud maybe.
