| Apr 5 21:17:49 | The Maze of Swineston | ♥ 3 | I love dungeon build in games. I like how the traps can be disarmed and spotted by other mob classes. Would be nice to see some less random movement from the mobs to make use of this mechanic. All in all great game :) | |
| Apr 5 21:25:59 | 8m 10s | Fresh From The Oven | ♥ 2 | Great concept for a game. Models look good. Importing animations into UE or Unity is always a headache. The game looks and performs good you should be proud <3 |
| Apr 5 21:33:16 | 7m 17s | Disaster Waiting | ♥ 2 | I really like the idea of base building on a shrink field like that, good use of theme. |
| Apr 5 21:43:43 | 10m 27s | Gone Out | ♥ 2 | The art and music are both really good, the layers of the trees and the mood, the game has some really good atmosphere. The idea of grabbing wood in a scary forest to replenish the fire is a very good use of theme. You guys should be very proud of this <3 |
| Apr 5 21:52:47 | 9m 04s | MOTH | ♥ 1 | I really like the use of the far away scenes and the pixilation filter, good way at obscuring far away details. Having them all be light sources and playing with the idea of insects at night time to move between story elements, good job. Lots of well done atmosphere. |
| Apr 5 21:58:38 | 5m 51s | Stalling For Ruin | ♥ 0 | Good job, I like the abilities. Would love to see it expand outward more with other abilites, different enemies, and a more fleshed--out map. Solid work all around ! |
| Apr 5 22:18:05 | 19m 27s | TOOB | ♥ 3 | Good and polished submission, Enjoy the neon/fzero style. Art and Music really fitting. Feel like you could space out the distance between obstacles a bit or mess with what you already have and it would work great. Ship just feels a bit slippery at high speeds since its not locked to left and right. All in all though this is a great game you guys should feel proud <3 |
| Apr 5 23:09:43 | 51m 38s | Definitely not Titanic | ♥ 5 | Really like the opening cutscenes and framing. Like the idea of grabbing planks to repair the ship. Moving between floors is a little jarring since you just teleport but all in all great job. <3 |
| Apr 6 02:55:21 | 3h 45m | JAM HERO | ♥ 2 | Love the idea of the meta resource management game for a jam. Wish the lighting wasn't so dark and I could see workers, maybe a symbol for the rooms so you know what stats they match. All in all though a great game, Good work ! |
| Apr 6 03:12:31 | 17m 10s | Floody Hell | ♥ 5 | Really like the flooding and the how the level starts opening up over time. Would love to see the environment if more time gets spent on it. Game loop feels ok, a faster weapon or move speed would benefit it greatly , everything feels very slow for the action on screen. REALLLY loved the text to speech :P |
| Apr 6 03:17:01 | 4m 30s | MineCraftMine | ♥ 1 | Everything that you put in was implemented nicely, would love to see a faster, slight more opened up area. Maybe having the player start in a bigger room might ? Good entry though, I would definitely keep working on it <3 |
| Apr 6 03:25:32 | 8m 31s | Hospital Simulator | ♥ 1 | Like the grim reaper in the back, something letting people know what to do would be nice |
| Apr 6 03:34:09 | 8m 37s | The Unfortunate Tale of Mr. Bones | ♥ 1 | Fun use of theme with having to raise money to stay alive. Would try and add some more fleshed out versions of the gathering mechanic. All in all great job. |
| Apr 6 03:43:47 | 9m 38s | Defence Under Construction | ♥ 2 | Great job on the game, some complex stuff going on here that also has a fair amount of polish. Would love for some of the basic zombies to have less health. Some way to quickly get between sides or shorting up the tunnels a small amount would go a long way in improvements. All in all great entry, you should be glad. |
| Apr 6 03:49:05 | 5m 18s | Penguin Day Care | ♥ 0 | Like the design of the penguins, |
| Apr 6 13:26:06 | 9h 37m | Cat in the Bag | ♥ 4 | Very good writing and execution of your idea. Having the cat in the bag is a fun way to get around the art needed. The game is fast and fun enough that I did multiple runs to try and get further. Good job <3 |
| Apr 6 15:03:51 | 1h 37m | Protocol Delta | ♥ 1 | Very Well made and polished game. The colors and audio are perfect. Its very satisfying to play, the enemy variety is well thought out and fun to play against. Only Issue I had was the dash being based on look direction and not movement direction. Not game breaking but does make it hard to aim a dash when the screen starts getting cluttered. All in all though this game is very well made ! One of the best out of LD50 by far <3 |
| Apr 6 15:17:01 | 13m 10s | The Last Savior | ♥ 2 | Very well executed game, the pixel art and music work really well for this. The design of using three different attacks on enemies is really satisfying and does a good job at throwing some variety into the combat, also love that its color coded so it reads very well. Would love to see some more feedback when I hit enemies, maybe a slight pushback or slash sfx would really sell it. Player might be moving a little fast, sometimes its hard to stop before running into mobs. All in all though this is one of the best ld50 games I've played so far. You guys should be really proud! (Bonus pts for Berserk Reference <3) |
| Apr 6 15:30:06 | 13m 05s | Ball Boy's Cool Party | ♥ 1 | Solid game, Animations are the real star here, really are able to convey the awkward feeling really well done ! The take on the theme is A+, probably one of the best representations in LD50 that I've seen and played. I think with some polish and more content this could be a really fun game to play, Well done <3 |
| Apr 6 17:51:59 | 2h 21m | Shotgun King: the Final Checkmate | ♥ 3 | Amazing work, Im really curious how much preplanning/work was done on this outside the 72hr. Its super polished and tight. The CRT shader and the SFX add so much to the game and the design of the chess mechanics are weaved masterfully into the card upgrades and solo play of the King. Solid job well done to the team. |
| Apr 8 17:11:47 | 47h 19m | Crumbling World | ♥ 1 | Shooting and controls feel pretty tight, good job on the robots and the spawn in effects. Game feels just a bit zoomed out would really love to get a tighter view but I understand you want to see everything. The Traps are a great way of adding additional difficulty without just relying on more enemies. Solid Jam entry, you should feel really proud <3 |
| Apr 8 17:26:08 | 14m 21s | Monster Dungeon Defenders | ♥ 4 | Really fun concept for a card game, reminds me of the card game Boss Monster. Would love to see some more art and effects for cards and maybe an easier way of getting monster cards between rounds. All in all a great game entry you guys should be very proud <3 |
| Apr 8 17:39:44 | 13m 36s | The Flower of Marasca | ♥ 2 | Great game both visually and audio wise. Im a simple man, I hear bitcrushed sfx and I love. You did a good job with some of the puzzles utilizing multiple powers, my only really issue with gameplay is that sometimes you can softlock yourself if you run out of a power you need to complete a puzzle. Maybe have a slow cooldown on the abilities might be better and let you make some longer puzzles without having to worry about players having enough skill charges. All in all though this is a great game and a solid LD50 entry, glad I got to play it, Thank you <3 |
| Apr 8 17:54:33 | 14m 49s | Darko | ♥ 2 | You did such a good job getting an interesting visual style and playstyle. The movement and gameplay are very responsive and genuinely feels fun to play. Would love if you expanding on this idea because with some more polish and structure post-jam this could be very fun game. Great job you should feel very proud, one of the standout LD50s I've played. |
| Apr 10 15:33:42 | 45h 39m | TAGGLE | ♥ 1 | Solid entry, my two biggest issues were that the jump didnt seem to be work all the time and that the player camera felt super zoomed in. Both are simple fixes, I can definitely see how this would be fun with other players but sadly as expected no one was online. Bonus points for adding online components if they do indeed work. All in all a great entry for 72 hours, good job ! |
| Apr 10 15:53:08 | 19m 26s | Keeper of Colors | ♥ 3 | Honestly there is a lot of talent on display here. The blending of terrain painting, the cape as a progress bar, the layering of the different audio elements. There is a lot of highly complex mechanics in here that you should feel very proud of being able to accomplish in the 72hr timeframe. I would make some adjustment to the UI, the power symbols were hard to tell what they were at first, improve some of the players animations, add some more variety and types of objects per biome to give some more variety. All in all though this is a great game concept and you should feel very good of the work you did, especially considering how all the mechanics game be reused in later jams. |
| Apr 10 16:06:24 | 13m 16s | The Looper's BUG | ♥ 2 | This was a very fun game to play. You managed to design a puzzle platformer that has some very unique ideas and were able to teach the player and challenge them in such a short amount of time. I loved having to use the other robots trails to help heal me, as well as having to control where I explode as to not destroy the path. I would defo keep working on this. Would love to have the camera a bit more zoomed out, maybe a mode that would let you see the whole puzzle since it would also let you plan out moves in more complex puzzles. While I eventually got it, the jumping level doesn't communicate well that you have to jump over the lip, especially since the two blocks were the same color. All in all a great entry, if you polish a bit more all you would need to do is add more levels and it would be pretty fun ! |
| Apr 10 16:12:12 | 5m 48s | Perception Is Reality | ♥ 1 | Solid job on all visual parts of the game, the game has a very nice mood to it that the art and droney music help drive home. There are some severe performance issues, at least with the webgl build, that I think if you ironed out and did some optimization would go along way in making something interesting. All in all great entry though <3 |
| Apr 10 16:19:58 | 7m 46s | Raid Blockers | ♥ 1 | Pretty solid entry, Like that you were able to implement animated bots during the 72 hours. Its really hard to land hits when you have multiple bots as nothing gets interrupted so bots just surround and kill you. There's also some weird behaviour where i wont always attack in the direction im moving or facing which was really frustrating when I'd lose because of that. All in all though a good entry with some cool audio and ideas <3 |
| Apr 10 16:44:12 | 24m 14s | Frame Buster | ♥ 2 | Really fun concept using Framerate as a scoring metric, I think further optimization would let you squeeze some more play time out for people, there's definitely no reason why some computers can't run this to at least wave 5. Really great audio and vibe to the game and had fun playing, you should be really proud of this as a compo entry. |
| Apr 11 22:23:22 | 29h 39m | Mr. Second | ♥ 2 | Great game, Really love the mechanic of bouncing between player instances. Aside from general gameplay polish it might be beneficial to increase the amount of time between bounces by a small amount, maybe a second, maybe having an option for the player to trigger to bounce so they dont have to wait out the timer all the time. All in all though a great game and with polish all you have to do is add levels. <3 |
| Apr 12 14:23:16 | 15h 59m | Dino Village | ♥ 1 | Solid entry, Really hits the theme and is a cute clicker game that gets you into the rotation pretty fast. I think the fact that I immediately replayed it after my first run because I knew I could do better was a testament to how much fun it was. I think improvement-wise it would help knowing that things like the flood would destroy my food production before hand, knowing that I only have X amount of time to hit food cap definitely changes how I approached priorities in the game. Great game ! |
