| Apr 26 08:52:48 | Capsule Fall | ♥ 1 | I liked this! I thought the sound was suitably moody and the choice to make it a console app was a a good one. It reminded me of Downwell. | |
| Apr 26 08:55:43 | 2m 55s | FlickWest | ♥ 1 | This was great fun! I've never played a game quite like it, so points for innovation. I particularly liked the animation and the personality you gave the characters. |
| Apr 26 09:05:26 | 9m 43s | Deepest Ocean | ♥ 1 | I was impressed with the quality of the sprites in this - I assume you made meshes in blender and rendered them? The core game loop is simple but solid and the minigames add variety, too. |
| Apr 26 09:10:37 | 5m 11s | Deep Sea Whale Mechanic | ♥ 1 | This was excellent! The reduced field of view and the tank controls made it feel really spooky and threatening, but the cute sprites made it quite funny as well. Nothing hugely innovative but very well-made overall! (And the music was great too.) |
| Apr 26 09:18:22 | 7m 45s | Robo Delve | ♥ 1 | The concept is pretty solid but I think the physics need to be more responsive to make it fun. I often got caught on flat surfaces and felt like I should have more momentum. I think increasing the mass of the robot, the force of the player's input and the elasticity of the rope would go a long way! |
| Apr 26 09:26:42 | 8m 20s | Project Achelois | ♥ 2 | The atmosphere was excellent, and I was impressed with the polish of the cutscene and dialog system. My main issue was that the camera position didn't give you much vision of where you were going, and the submarine's spotlight didn't actually light thing up, it washed them out and made it harder to see. The audio and visuals were very good, though. |
| Apr 26 09:35:23 | 8m 41s | Mullet Time | ♥ 1 | This was super fun, and the music in particular was excellent! I had a great time playing. My only issue was that the first couple of times I played the sparta kick didn't trigger and the enemy just fell into the spikes, so I didn't get the fuel and ammo. That said, the music was good enough that I tried a few more times just to listen a bit more and then it worked! The jetpack was pleasingly zoomy and navigating through the spike corridors was challenging but not frustrating - and the sprites were pretty charming too. Great job! |
| Apr 26 10:08:36 | 33m 13s | Boneitis - Quest for the Cure | ♥ 2 | This was fun! Sound and music were good, and there were a lot of little neat touches that made it feel polished. I think some player movement speed upgrades would be good, since the only frustrating thing was how long it takes to get anywhere. Good job overall! |
| Apr 26 10:14:41 | 6m 05s | Conversational Pitfalls | ♥ 1 | Unfortunately there isn't much gameplay but there is some absolutely stellar audio work so congrats! |
| Apr 26 10:25:19 | 10m 38s | The Long Walk | ♥ 2 | Same issue as Billnotic here - there's no link to play on the itch.io page! |
| Apr 26 10:30:12 | 4m 53s | Spin On | ♥ 2 | This game is bastard hard and I don't think I managed to kill a single anti, but the movement felt so good and the concept so cool that I just kept playing - great job! |
| Apr 26 11:14:51 | 44m 39s | Diggy Orc | ♥ 1 | I had a blast with this one - I liked how the longer you go on the more it almost becomes a rhythm game. And no shame about the music, it works well! |
| Apr 26 16:13:30 | 4h 58m | Chameleon Excavation | ♥ 2 | The controls were a little wack but the atmosphere was excellent - I too had some issues with the web version but the desktop version worked fine. |
| Apr 27 11:15:30 | 19h 02m | Deeper | ♥ 2 | Super impressive to develop a GBC game in a weekend! The visuals are particularly crisp and they've got that old nintendo charm. |
| Apr 27 14:07:51 | 2h 52m | Blue Eye - Salvage & Rescue | ♥ 1 | I'd agree with what other people said about the overwhelming UI messages, but I really liked the art (the main character sprite is cute) and the movement of the ship as you go down has a good feel to it. Quite atmospheric, too! |
| Apr 27 15:15:41 | 1h 07m | The Fall | ♥ 1 | Simple, but fun and well-executed. The audio and the juice animations were particularly good. |
| Apr 27 15:19:43 | 4m 02s | Johnny Debt | ♥ 1 | The game loop got stale pretty quick, but the central mechanics of running around and pinging money off people felt really nice and were complemented by pleasant UI, audio and visuals. Really impressive polish for a compo game! |
| Apr 27 15:25:05 | 5m 22s | Deep space | ♥ 2 | The art is definitely the strongest aspect - I like the concept and I think with some more features and increasing complexity this could become something quite fun. |
| Apr 27 20:05:24 | 4h 40m | Deep Mole | ♥ 1 | One million points for the audio! |
| Apr 28 11:06:47 | 15h 01m | Fine Line Mine | ♥ 1 | A little buggy, as others have pointed out, but the art style was excellent and a lot of care went into the presentation! The music didn't quite match the mood but overall it felt like a pleasant, polished experience. |
| Apr 28 11:14:25 | 7m 38s | Plunge | ♥ 1 | I really liked the pace of this one! The colour palette is simple and stylish, and it handles well at high speeds. Nicely challenging without being frustrating. |
| Apr 28 11:20:37 | 6m 12s | The NYPD Shaman | ♥ 1 | This is a really strong entry - nothing to do with the theme but it was so innovative and interesting to play that I didn't really mind! The music and concept were charming and the mechanic did feel like detective work, so excellent job. |
| Apr 28 11:49:27 | 28m 50s | Inks | ♥ 1 | This was really great! I liked the interpretation of the theme, and the way the other ink blobs could surprise you by shifting colours themselves. Just an overall very pleasant five-minute experience. |
| Apr 28 12:52:45 | 1h 03m | Bathyscaphe | ♥ 1 | I really loved this entry! The decisions you made about lighting were spot-on (fading at the edge of your spotlight, ambient light dimming as you got deeper) and the risk-reward gameplay worked perfectly. I especially liked how close you had to get to the walls to collect your treasures, and the creaking sound effects as you dipped below the safe range created atmosphere wonderfully. Probably the best game I've played in the jam so far. Terrific work, you should be proud. |
| Apr 29 13:22:55 | 24h 30m | Ocean Cleanup | ♥ 1 | I would agree with previous comments about the controls, but the atmosphere is very strong and you nailed the relaxing tone with the music and the color scheme. |
