Jul 31 12:10:07 And Here Again ♥ 1 Started off strong in the room, got a good sense of atmosphere and it was nice to sort of explore the few interactable objects, but beyond that it wasn't clear what was going on from there. Were the yellow people draining my energy? Were they the thieves from the description? In the room I seemed to pick up a yellow dot that was added to the HUD, does it do anything? Does the cigarette? Like others are saying, I like the atmosphere, and the music helps a lot to set the mood. Nice work!
Jul 31 12:14:57 4m 50s Battery Pack ♥ 1 Good level difficulty progression, felt like it ramped up at a good pace! The music was a fun little jingle (although short), and the game's writing (death messages, tutorial, etc) was very charming
Jul 31 12:21:48 6m 51s Ashmup ♥ 1 Every action in this game is really satisfying for the player to execute, thanks to the attention given to the sound effects and animations. I really liked the aesthetic of this overall, the music/sounds fit the art style really well
Jul 31 12:40:26 18m 38s Oil Patrol ♥ 2 This is really fun. Love the way you never feel lost because of the way you can follow tracks in the snow. The music was great, the lilting piano was very appropriate for a kind of isolated icy tundra/glacioer feel.
Jul 31 12:48:47 8m 21s Energy Juice ♥ 1 In spite of the warnings, I have in fact died after giving pro mode a shot because I was feeling a little too confident about my performance in easy mode (didn't fat-finger once!!). Loved reading the intro to this especially, good sense of humor, hopefully we have provided Mike with the energy he needs to keep the servers up 🤞
Jul 31 12:54:06 5m 19s PRAY FOR TESLA ♥ 2 Love the art for this, the concept of the defense point pulsing energy out to the structures is a unique one, nice work!
Jul 31 13:02:54 8m 48s Day and Night - 2D Game (mac/windows) ♥ 2 Really nice atmosphere! The scenery around the game was a nice touch, and everything fits together really well
Jul 31 13:11:08 8m 14s Ousted ♥ 1 "You've already executed the Minister of Truth this week! Please calm down!" NEVERRRR Good game, nice play on the theme of running out of power. Good sense of humor and good art assets as well
Jul 31 13:24:08 13m 00s a story about a cat ♥ 1 Ahhhh 😢 This was great, excellent story telling and mood. Only thing is I think you accidentally bound the A key to play the meow sound effect as well as the X key
Jul 31 13:48:00 23m 52s LOTS - Legend of the Teleportation Stone ♥ 2 The sound effects and voice-over work was super entertaining, and the background music just added to the charm. The dying grunt was MAAAAYBE too loud, but maybe it also served as a suitable punishment for my failure haha Great job! Nice idea on the teleportation mechanic. The only thing I'd improve on it maybe is rather than just instantly jumping to the point, have an animation play of the character being zoomed to the point
Jul 31 15:28:53 1h 40m Decaying Card Game ♥ 1 Cool concept for a combo of card game and defender. Felt like maybe it was TOO easy, but maybe I was just getting incredibly lucky on the cards? I could see this being fleshed out more to be a really cool complete game
Jul 31 15:36:12 7m 19s Power Sphere ♥ 2 This game looks really pretty but the concept itself probably needs some revision. I found that if you got caught by a cube at all that you were pretty much toast, especially if you happened to miss landing on them or accidentally roll of the tile as it levitated. It looks like you can only lift one tile at a time, maybe being able to recover by lifting another if you fall would make it feel more fair. This was promising in spite of that though! Good job
Jul 31 15:47:03 10m 51s Fat Jack's Fun Run ♥ 1 I liked that you could cycle around the course by going all the way to the side so it wasn't a COMPLETE guaranteed loss if you lost A or D, that was clever. Nice music and I liked the 2.5D graphics as well
Jul 31 15:52:19 5m 16s The Wizard of Orb ♥ 0 I really liked how the camera tracked your aiming instead of just following the character, that's just a little subtle control thing that adds quality imo. The game did seem to crash the first time I ran it, and when I returned to the menu from the level clear screen. Not sure if that has something to do with my computer, though Nice work!
Jul 31 16:02:58 10m 39s THE RISING OF THE MACHINES ♥ 1 The voice overs were great, added a lot of character to the game! The camera easing was maybe a bit too slow, you can't see what's coming at you from the direction you are heading towards because the camera doesn't keep you very centered. It looks like the camera also gets "stuck" briefly when you hit the edge of the map. Really nice job on the game length considering how little time!
Jul 31 16:09:44 6m 46s Who Wants to be Alive? ♥ 1 Mouse + and arrows was a bit tricky, felt like I had to keep moving my hands and getting all discombobulated. The music, sound, and voice-overs were fantastic. Really enjoyed the character expressed through dialogue too. Great graphics, was fun AND educational!
Jul 31 16:16:36 6m 52s Assault//Battery ♥ 1 This was a really cool control mechanic! The music was great, felt like it could have done with some sound effects to make those punches extra satisfying, as satisfying as they were. Really liked how the information was presented in-game as you go as opposed to an explainer screen beforehand. This would be super fun as a mobile game what with the swipe controls and everything, I could easily get addicted to it
Jul 31 16:21:35 4m 59s Programmer Energy ♥ 1 WELL today I learned that my touch typing is pitiful. Gorgeous presentation, super relatable concept. Nice work!
Jul 31 16:35:51 14m 16s When the world goes to hell, I'll be here playing Video Games. ♥ 5 This was not what I expected to be at all, very cool. Really cute and thoughtful dialogue
Jul 31 16:45:51 10m 00s Robot Guy ♥ 0 Really good job! Really fun concept, this has the potential to be fleshed out into a very good complete game. Love the pixel art and the controls and movement felt really smooth.
Jul 31 16:52:01 6m 10s Electric lovers ♥ 2 Hahaha this was a real sweet idea, I had a lot of fun playing this. Little things like the bounce and sound effect when you jump really adds to the charm too. Good sound effects but I feel like a good background track could have really added to the mood of the game. VERY polished for how little time you had to work on it, good job.
Jul 31 17:06:19 14m 18s Unicorn Poweeer ♥ 0 What are the controls for this? I can't seem to make anything happen as best as I can tell
Jul 31 17:23:03 16m 44s Wayside : A world awaits you ♥ 0 Great job on this, there's a lot of content here. Lots of levels, lots of music, the controls are clear, and the levels are just challenging enough that it might take some trial and error, but it's still possible to beat.
Jul 31 17:27:47 4m 44s Charge ♥ 1 Played two handed and it was a lot of fun haha. The flashlights added a lot of good tension as the waves got bigger and less was visible, fun stuff Loved the music and the sound effects
Jul 31 17:49:20 21m 33s Will Power ♥ 1 Great job with the opening cutscene, loved the music track to. Some sound effects would have brought it to the next level. Great mood set by the music and lighting
Jul 31 18:07:16 17m 56s Fluff Factory ♥ 2 Really nice graphics, great presentation. I like the pet simulation spin on the theme. The one thing I'd say is that it did take me a while to figure out where exactly I was supposed to place the fluffs once they were fully charged, that could have been clearer just because of how small the little pipe is and how many cables are strewn about, combined with the dark scene. Great job on this!
Jul 31 18:14:42 7m 26s Pylon Pressure ♥ 1 This was really fun, trying to place things as efficiently as possible. Would be cool to see something like this implemented as a feature in a more fleshed out city builder sim.
Jul 31 23:12:52 4h 58m Driving home ♥ 1 This was so good, really loved the aesthetic. The music fit the game super well, and the narrative was super cute and relatable
Jul 31 23:38:05 25m 13s p o w e r ARM ♥ 1 This was awesome, really fleshed out especially considering the time constraint! I really liked the music for it, and the atmosphere was great. My ONLY gripe would be that it was Enter to advance text as opposed to like space or something, and since you had to use a mouse to interact with stuff, you're pretty much always having to move your hand. Not a BIG deal but if the button had been space or something, it would have been in reach of the left hand always. Great job!
Jul 31 23:56:43 18m 38s The Box of Power ♥ 2 Hey even for an unfinished thing, this really came out pretty nicely, I really like the art style and heck even as a single round thing (as you have it now), it's a pretty good LD game experience. Great job!
Aug 1 01:10:14 1h 13m Wodewick, the grumpy monster ♥ 1 Hehe, this was real cute, good mood. I didn't quite understand what the black bar did and the hitboxes seemed a little funny but it was a fun little game
Aug 1 01:23:08 12m 54s Audio Hook (formerly Hook, Beat, & Keeper) ♥ 0 This was a fun concept, although yeah, there were some times where the cube just would not get into range, I think because it ultimately wound up getting bumped too far away by the spheres. Awesome sound effects and voice-overs! Great work
Aug 1 22:14:31 20h 51m Extraction ♥ 1 Wow this was a great game all around, the graphics were awesome, the music was nice and fit the mood really well, the sound effects were great and really helped cue when the little energy crystals dropped. The game was a lot of fun and provided a decent challenge.
