| Aug 2 14:42:04 | A Miner Inconvenience | ♥ 0 | Not bad. The controls were a bit awkward on a laptop having to click the button while using WASD. Keyboard controls would work as well. But yeah, this game needs a lot more juice, I think! It's hurt from not having sound effects or music. Pretty easy to make some using SFXR or something. And then I'm thinking like, splodey particle effects and something panic inducing when you start getting low on power. The voice over was amusing, but it felt too verbose at times. Maybe at a deeper level, the core gameplay mechanic of getting to a whole bunch of checkpoints works for a ludum dare game, but it's not really interesting enough if this was a stand alone game, say. Polish might be able to help, but it doesn't really answer the question of "why should I play this game when there are all these other ones". Something innovative would help :) | |
| Aug 2 14:43:51 | 1m 47s | Winding Woods | ♥ 1 | Looks like a unity game, why not add some other builds? I don't have a windows machine to play this :/ |
| Aug 2 14:46:24 | 2m 33s | Coffy | ♥ 1 | You would update the link type to say that it support more than windows :) |
| Aug 2 14:52:53 | 6m 29s | Micro Mayhem | ♥ 0 | No mac build? :( |
| Aug 2 15:03:54 | 11m 01s | Stargust | ♥ 1 | Hey, you should add some gifs to the ludum dare page! |
| Aug 4 07:26:31 | 40h 22m | How I Met Your Great Great Grandmother | ♥ 1 | Nice idea. One piece of feedback I'd give is that the way the tutorial appeared over parts of the screen made me want to close it somehow so I ended up skipping it and then having to reload to see it again. |
| Aug 4 15:00:00 | 7h 33m | The Last Question. | ♥ 0 | Hey! You should consider hosting this on itch.io if it's a web game, instead of having a download link. Many more people will play it then :) Sadly I can't rate as I only use chrome :( |
| Aug 4 15:11:01 | 11m 01s | Running Out of Power Rangers | ♥ 1 | Amusing :) The actual game feels a bit too frantic to make it seem like you have control. The game also crashed the second time I tried to play it π |

| Aug 4 15:56:54 | 41m 19s | BATTLE BOIS | ♥ 0 | Any chance for a web or mac build? |
| Aug 4 15:58:21 | 1m 27s | A Mr Mom Quest | ♥ 1 | This game looks good... Any chance for a web or mac build? |
| Aug 4 16:03:53 | 5m 32s | Turtle's Quest | ♥ 1 | You should label your game as windows, instead of 'source code' :) |
| Aug 4 16:12:41 | 8m 48s | Big Mommy is Watching (Over) You! | ♥ 0 | "POST LDJAM fixes : Reduced the health of hackers. Hit them once and theyβll let you be." Game balancing post jam is against the rules π¬ Feel free to add a separate post-compo link but the game should stand as it was when you finished it (more clarification here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/39/false-game/compojam-done-play-and-rate-games) |
| Aug 5 16:00:04 | 23h 47m | PoweRL | ♥ 1 | Amazing! You and I made very similar games :P Mechanics wise, I think the game needed some extra sense of progression. It's be cool if there was some goal you're working towards, like some unlockable to buy or like, a different type of level after every 8 or something (like spelunky). The music was good but I felt like it was a little bit too chill? Not sure whether it fit the vibe of the game. But it was a good song. I agree with you about the graphics, in that the pixel art is nicer, but there are some things you could probably do to make the vectory art nicer as well. One thing that can help is to design the graphics around a colour scheme/colour palette. If you do some googling you can find some nice looking ones and then base the game around that. Also visual effects like bloom and lens aberration can help too, if you can do them. Also nice to see a Swift game. I like Swift π Shame it's not very cross-platform π |
| Aug 5 18:28:21 | 2h 28m | Hoover Simulator | ♥ 1 | lol I really want to play this but I'm not a windows owning person :( |
| Aug 12 03:14:58 | 152h 46m | Robot Guy | ♥ 0 | I agree with the others in that there's some balance or tutorial type thing needed to make this work better. Maybe if it was split into smaller levels with a progression between them it would work nicer. |
| Aug 14 02:32:04 | 47h 17m | Mobile Charger | ♥ 0 | Haha, this game is pretty hilarious. I love how you just become a weird ball of electronics. I think it was too hard to stay alive, maybe if grabbing stuff gave you a bigger battery boost it would work better. Also, it wasn't really clear how you went about grabbing stuff (by just walking into people). I laughed a lot when I glitched out and shot into the sky, and then the whole screen started shaking. Nice one! |
| Aug 14 02:42:04 | 10m 00s | V.E.S.T.A.L.E. | ♥ 1 | A tip for next time: Add sound effects! You can do it fairly quickly so it doesn't take away too much time, by using something like BFXR that lets you make your own, or as this is a jam game you can use free sound effects from different places (I typically go to freesound.org) |
| Aug 18 01:25:02 | 94h 42m | ULTIMATE PROSELYTISM & MIRACLES SIMULATOR 2017: THE MOVIE THE GAME | ♥ 2 | This game had a lot in it but none of the gameplay itself was good to be honest... It's still a nice Ludum Dare game and I guess in interested me enough to get all the way through it. But all the platforming was very mediocre, and waiting and clicking on the things didn't really work out I'm a little conflicted because it's a bad game but kinda in a good way :P |
| May 7 01:39:57 | 6288h 14m | Kingin' It | ♥ 0 | Looks nice, unfortunately for me the html5 window on itch is too small for me to see the game properly?? Screen Shot 2018-05-06 at 18.39.20.png |
