| May 1 09:32:23 | eiland | ♥ 0 | I enjoyed it but for some reason it was running at a snail's pace for me. Really cool style and solid execution. | |
| May 1 09:51:03 | 18m 40s | Universal Journey | ♥ 3 | Looks great and is really fun. Overall very impressive! One suggestion: maybe have a fixed location for the reset button, when you explode at the right side of the screen it's hard to see. |
| May 1 11:05:13 | 1h 14m | Trienne's Trial | ♥ 1 | Cool little game! The sprites look great and making friends is always nice. :) |
| May 1 12:59:09 | 1h 53m | Weatherman of Smallworld | ♥ 0 | That was pretty cool. I liked the style, a different(less obviously derivative)design for the people(secret agents?) would have been better though. |
| May 1 16:09:40 | 3h 10m | Mana Farming Dimensiom | ♥ 1 | I was eventually able to figure out how it works...I think. Some more instructions would be very helpful. The node-based design is interesting, just too fiddly to use in its current state. If you keep going I'm sure you can make it into something pretty fun. |
| May 1 16:54:49 | 45m 09s | King of Vampires | ♥ 1 | This is neat! But I think it would be better as a turn-based game. The way it is now I was always frantically clicking on an area and hammering the "turn" button a few times to keep from going extinct. Also: I think it's how the numbers work out but what often happened was that an area went from a full population bar to no humans left in 1 turn, which didn't give me any time to react. |
| May 1 18:26:52 | 1h 32m | SurviBall | ♥ 2 | The way I ended up playing involved spending almost all of my turns making food/building up the cabin to eat in with only occasionally being able to squeeze in a turn for the mystery building, which wasn't very fun. The game looks stunning though and has lots of charm. Just maybe make it a bit more lenient in the hunger department. :) |
| May 1 19:18:51 | 51m 59s | Cosmonaut Pavel Tokarev | ♥ 0 | Great atmosphere, neat visuals. Well done! |
| May 1 19:54:39 | 35m 48s | Jim Doesn't Care About Space | ♥ 0 | The game won't start because of a missing dll: MSVCP140D.dll From my very cursory search it looks like that might have to do with the game being a debug version? Maybe you could compile it with different settings? Downloading the dll from some sketchy site isn't really a solution. Hope you can fix this, I'd love to check out your game. :) |
| May 2 08:31:02 | 12h 36m | Crustacean Frustration | ♥ 1 | Took me a second to figure out that you could double-jump. After that the game was much more fun. The platforming was solid and the way enemies react to being hit felt pretty good. Being able to reflect projectiles(sometimes) was a cool addition too. I love the unique art style. And the music fit it very nicely too. |
| May 10 07:14:15 | 190h 43m | My Little Forest | ♥ 0 | The style is pretty cute, even the trash is bright and colorful :D The game needs a timer or a ramping up of the trash drop rate over time though, right now you can play pretty much infinitely. With a few more mechanics you might have a neat little "time waster" ;) |
| May 10 07:44:15 | 30m 00s | Bug to the Footstep | ♥ 1 | This is a really cool little puzzle game. I found it fairly easy but very fun. The bugs are very cute, I didn't really want to put them in harm's way. :P The way they move about makes the whole game a lot more charming too. I agree with the others: with a larger variety of bugs and a lot more levels this can easily be made into a full game. |
| May 10 08:41:18 | 57m 03s | Dregumes | ♥ 0 | I had an absolute blast. Pretty much everything about this game is just great, the only exception being the sound effects. They work but are not particularly impressive. The second type of enemy killed me in one hit pretty much every time(unless embiggened) at first, that seemed a bit harsh but made the upgrades really satisfying. Your team has made a really cool and fun game I might go back to from time to time; I just hope it gets some more attention. |
| May 10 09:01:26 | 20m 08s | HugeSpace 2 | ♥ 0 | I enjoyed the minimalistic feeling of the game. It was actually pretty tricky, I kept crashing into planets whizzing about. Also, is there a way to cool back down once the temperature has reached the maximum? |
| May 10 19:09:36 | 10h 08m | Under The Petri Dish | ♥ 1 | Either I'm terrible at it or the game is really hard. Seeing the enemies move is cool, but it gets a little boring when there are 20+ enemy cells. Is there a reason you made it so you have to press CTRL to end your turn? It's a little weird and might confuse people. Neat little game though and having an intro at all is already impressive :) |
| May 10 19:46:52 | 37m 16s | Global | ♥ 0 | At first it was super relaxing(nice graphics, really relaxed music), then became somewhat frantic. I finally got overwhelmed at 50ish. That felt like a good progression. The presentation is good and easy to read, the rotation is sometimes a little wonky but that's quaternions for you. The way you interact is clear and most of the time you have no problems to execute what you are trying to do. A few times the auto-rotation made me mess up a bit. Correcting those mistakes was quick to do though. Well done :) |
| May 11 07:16:17 | 11h 29m | TerraIncognita | ♥ 0 | While the concept is pretty cool, in its current state it's kinda hard to enjoy. Having to figure out what to do without any instructions is neat but the counter is way too fast in the beginning. I didn't figure out what makes it slow down sometimes so that could be my fault. The game also feels somewhat unresponsive, for one because there's no indication which type of building is selected and then because it takes over a second for anything to happen after you click on the planet. Showing the radius the building will occupy when hovering might help. With the current system I often placed an additional building because it felt like the first click didn't register. Both the game's simple visual style and music are nice, the game itself is just too difficult to play. |
| May 11 07:36:32 | 20m 15s | Floating Towers | ♥ 0 | As @county-agent said, the start is really difficult and then it's trivial to survive indefinitely. I only had a few pixels of health left but survived long enough to cover each tile in both a spike trap and a tower (not sure if you are supposed to be able to, the sprites were flickering like crazy). |
| May 11 08:28:45 | 52m 13s | Mission Blue | ♥ 0 | Sadly I wasn't able to calibrate the life support(I think I pushed all the buttons)...but I enjoyed running around this spaceship entirely built from 1x1 prototype plating. The atmosphere was well done, the constant ominous rumble was a good touch and the alarm really conveyed some urgency. The audio clip was a nice little surprise too. |
| May 12 14:33:12 | 30h 04m | Darts Are Everything | ♥ 0 | Nicely done! I had a lot of fun just opening the cabinets and peppering the room with darts. The guy complimenting himself on his "own" dart skills when throwing at a board was pretty funny. The ending though felt a bit...sudden. I also didn't find a way to interact with the game after it had faded to black(aside from Alt+F4). |
| May 12 14:48:42 | 15m 30s | drone | ♥ 1 | I have no idea what is going on and wasn't able to achieve anything. But it looks and sounds great. I like it! |
| May 12 15:00:49 | 12m 07s | Space Miner | ♥ 0 | Cool little game! I like the dark side of the planet, that was a neat touch with the headlights, makes the red beams especially menacing. What I didn't like was the sound effect for picking up stuff. It quickly got on my nerves. |
| May 12 15:28:43 | 27m 54s | Little Stars | ♥ 0 | It was very fun to zoom around the planets, finding all the kinds of planets and occasionally a little secret/unique tile. Though I'd agree with @steve-johnson, some sort of goal would be nice. Maybe finding all the parts of a special planet and assembling them? |
| May 12 15:36:50 | 8m 07s | Aligned | ♥ 0 | Very nice presentation and fun gameplay, although I think it might speed up a little too quickly(almost felt like a geometrical increase). |
| May 12 17:34:04 | 1h 57m | EVO | ♥ 1 | Really impressive project! |
| May 12 19:21:58 | 1h 47m | Blood Cell Defender | ♥ 0 | Giving the oncoming cells and whatnot some random spin would make the game even better-looking I think, but it's already pretty cool. I actually found the atmosphere quite creepy, in a good way. |
| May 12 19:31:44 | 9m 46s | Research | ♥ 0 | Watching the populations of the creatures interact and change was really cool. I didn't really get what was going on with the research though. The presentation is nice, although I have to concur with @rokasv, the font was a bit hard to read. |
| May 12 19:50:04 | 18m 20s | Planeterarium .inc | ♥ 1 | This looks really cool, nice work on the procedural generation too! Sadly on the seed I started with pigs were apparently almost immediately extinct(I only ran into 1 total) and there also only was like 1 blueberry plant that I could identify. The wolves taking a bunch of your stamina just by running past was a little weird and on my first two "collapses" I didn't know what had happened. A jump(to avoid them) would have been nice. Still, impressive game! Not sure why it hasn't gotten any attention yet...fingers crossed! |
| May 13 07:16:05 | 11h 26m | MOOD 1 | ♥ 0 | I've never played(only seen) the original DOOM, so I don't know how accurate it is but it looks about right. The enemy's hitboxes seemed a bit weird and the blood splashes could have been a bit bigger. Also not sure what's up with the boss. It just sat there(on the weird invisible hemisphere) doing nothing. Was it supposed to shoot projectiles or something? Pretty cool! |
| May 13 10:35:37 | 3h 19m | Save A Small World | ♥ 1 | Challenging! I couldn't get past the 4th level. What I didn't like was that it only matched vertically and horizontally, instead of whenever 3 or more pieces touch(even in weird shapes), but I can imagine that that might have come down to ease of implementation. |
| May 13 14:18:02 | 3h 42m | SumPath | ♥ 0 | Okay, it's embarrassing how bad I am at this. But the jump in difficulty from 2+8 to 19*16 is also a bit extreme. The game has a very nice sense of "velocity" though and the music is really catchy. |
| May 13 15:03:23 | 45m 21s | See You Again | ♥ 0 | Cool concept, basing it on a phrase. Very tranquil game, I enjoyed it. |
| May 14 07:37:12 | 16h 33m | Together Alone | ♥ 0 | Nice! Something that bothered me a lot were the crates which I assumed were upgrades but apparently just give you a random gun. I ended up losing because I picked up a pistol again. Having to press the mouse button to fire every single shot(on the pistol) didn't feel great to me because there also is a delay between each shot, so faster clicking didn't actually result in faster shooting. But your shots feel like they actually have some impact because of the slight recoil and the good particle effects. Good job on the pixel art and the whole style of the game, very cool. The sound effects and music are very fitting as well. |
| May 14 08:28:21 | 51m 09s | The FoxGlobe | ♥ 0 | Cute fox and overall game! A thing that happened pretty often is that I got a miss message which quickly changed into a catch message(also giving me points), that was a little weird. |
| May 14 08:56:47 | 28m 26s | Find Your Friend | ♥ 0 | Is there some sort of hint of where to find your friend? I had to try a bunch of times until I ran into the friend almost immediately. The timer felt quite short. The game looks really good, the music fits too. The movement mechanic was cool, although I'm not sure whats going on with the planets(it's certainly not gravity...). |
| May 14 09:31:25 | 34m 38s | Kantum Leap-a | ♥ 0 | Almost made it to 1 minute! Very simple game but well-made. |
| May 14 10:36:29 | 1h 05m | Kaboom Land | ♥ 0 | This game looks super weird but cool. There are a few places where a difference in style is a little strange, especially between the main menu and the main game. The gameplay was pretty good, there was enough to do. Though the invading aliens were mostly annoying, in the end I lost because I was under a pile of like 10 of them, so they certainly are a threat too. Once they got stuck in a place(at a tree or turret), they pretty much formed a wall because there was no way of placing a mine close enough to them for it to explode. Once that happened on both sides of me and I could only break through once an incoming meteor allowed me to use up a turret they had gotten stuck on. That's a little weird but doesn't break the game, you only need to watch out. Overall a cool little game! |
| May 14 18:58:11 | 8h 21m | RE:Source | ♥ 0 | Very cool, clean graphics. Would be great if you could trade in minerals for fuel or upgrades or something, especially since you don't have enough space for all the minerals and I didn't find a way to get rid of any of them. Not sure if I've seen all there is but I was impressed by how much you were able to make. |
| May 15 10:57:30 | 15h 59m | A Small Word | ♥ 0 | The way the terrain is used to defend yourself is really cool...too bad you spend pretty much all your time looking at a list of words off to the side. I concur with @kirenio, putting the words above the attackers would be a better solution. |
| May 16 17:53:49 | 30h 56m | Imagine Running Into You Here | ♥ 0 | Nice little puzzle game! Well done on designing the levels, they were really good and challenging. I found that the AI behaved a little weirdly sometimes(not taking the shortest route towards me). |
| May 16 19:33:03 | 1h 39m | Boots In Space | ♥ 0 | Some sort of goal would have been nice, maybe just a simple collectible. The movement mechanics were cool just by themselves too though. |
| May 16 19:46:15 | 13m 12s | Cookery Mockery | ♥ 0 | Wow, this looks great! Too bad you were unable to get it to a "playable" state. But just running around, messing up food was pretty fun. Although I found the dragging mechanic to be a bit finicky. Extra points for the cloth/softbody deformation on the cheese. :D |
| May 17 06:50:24 | 11h 04m | Evacuator! | ♥ 0 | I had 3 people in a row die while I was on the tile right next to and moving towards them, that was a bit frustrating(but also my own fault). One issue I had was that the game board and the minimap are at slightly different angles, it made navigating by the map somewhat difficult for me. Also: driving "south" is a bit annoying because of the fixed angle. Camera controls with a rotating minimap could help. The game looks really cool and is pretty fun. In its current state the game should be deterministic, I wonder if you can save all the people? Some randomization or procedural generation would be nice, and maybe some pickups that give you a temporary speed boost or something. |
| May 17 09:18:30 | 2h 28m | Pong of Gods | ♥ 1 | Really fun concept! I found it fairly difficult because of the multitasking aspect of it and hitting anything with the rockets seems like it's pretty much just based on luck. Maybe make those faster or give them a little bit of homing? |
| Aug 1 14:53:10 | 1829h 34m | Goodbye, world! | ♥ 1 | At first I wasn't sure what to do, so I obliterated the moon. I enjoyed carving chunks out of the planet, trying to get the trajectory just right is really neat. |
