| Apr 21 15:36:00 | Affectionate Armament | Loved the dynamic elements of the platforming. Nicely done! | |
| Apr 21 15:50:00 | 14m 00s | ldds | I also found it a little confusing, but you managed to fit a lot in there in a short time! |
| Apr 21 15:57:00 | 7m 00s | Mutiny on Samovar V | Awesome music and general vibe. Like the clever rotation/gravity mechanic too. |
| Apr 21 16:21:00 | 24m 00s | The Hicet: Iceburglary | Liking the overall look. The gameplay was novel and enjoyable to play, thanks! |
| Apr 21 16:35:00 | 14m 00s | Hug Arena | Fun to play and good use of hugs as an unconventional weapon. Like the added rewards for completing certain levels. Good game. |
| Apr 21 16:54:00 | 19m 00s | Badass Inc | Very nice looking game and it made me laugh out loud. |
| Apr 21 17:06:00 | 12m 00s | Compassion | Looks nice and can see this could expand to other levels as you gain friends. |
| Apr 21 17:21:00 | 15m 00s | A God's Weapon | I took me a while to get used to the amount of force needed. Hilarious when your population flies out of the solar system unintentionally. Good concept. |
| Apr 21 17:26:00 | 5m 00s | Le Chef Farteaut | Hilarious weapon choice and looks nice too. |
| Apr 21 17:34:00 | 8m 00s | Trappy Trap | I found it tough to remember the enemy/weapon combos, but I guess that's the idea :) Nice work! |
| Apr 21 17:44:00 | 10m 00s | Rescue Mr.Furrybottom | Awesome overall look! FYI, it hanged on the end of game menu each time for me on MacOS. |
| Apr 21 17:50:00 | 6m 00s | Lethal Throw | Tricky to master, but a great gameplay concept. Nice. |
| Apr 21 18:30:00 | 40m 00s | Miyu | Amazing visuals and great sound. I really enjoyed the chilled vibe, thanks! |
| Apr 21 18:57:00 | 27m 00s | Sheep | Looks like an interesting concept. Unfortunately, I too was unable to get through the first section. |
| Apr 21 19:03:00 | 6m 00s | Love is in the air | Great look. I found it the difficulty curve a bit too steep, but that may just be my lack of skill :) |
| Apr 21 19:33:00 | 30m 00s | Character Assassination | Very slick. Nice visuals and funny, if a bit harsh :) |
| Apr 21 19:44:00 | 11m 00s | Dislocator | Definitely a novel approach to a space shooter - and it worked well. The aesthetic is uncluttered and effective, and nicely carried through the whole game. |
| Apr 21 19:55:00 | 11m 00s | What Have We Created?! | Very nicely put together. My only minor criticism is that the monster battle stage can be quite long and slow to progress, given the lack of interaction. Nice work! |
| Apr 21 20:04:00 | 9m 00s | Don't die, Red! | I wasn't completely sure what I was doing quite a lot of the time, but it was a fun space to explore. I really liked the tile-based map and the music is awesome. Nicely done! |
| Apr 21 20:10:00 | 6m 00s | The Goose Saga | Loved the silhouette style graphics and the bizarre attack animation! Gameplay can be a bit unforgiving at times, consider the number of challenges in a row. |
| Apr 21 20:17:00 | 7m 00s | Ion cannon | Really fresh gameplay and very addictive - had to force myself to stop playing :) I'm not a especially drawn to pixel art, but I loved the look of this and the aesthetic fit the game perfectly. It gave me flashbacks to arcade Gauntlet. Awesome! |
| Apr 21 22:15:00 | 1h 58m | Pigeon Potente | Very impressive art and music. Liked the unusual single-button control interface - took me a minute to understand the way the skills are triggered. |
| Apr 21 22:31:00 | 16m 00s | Eustus: On the Squid Farm | Thanks for a truly surreal experience! Your painted textures are really unique. |
| Apr 21 22:38:00 | 7m 00s | Stop the Goblin Army | It throws an error and won't load in the Unity player for me, sadly :( I'm running Safari on MacOS. |
| Apr 21 22:47:00 | 9m 00s | A Snowball's Chance | I like the concept. We also made a game about snowballs, with almost the same name - weird. The audio didn't work for me for some reason (Safari on MacOS), but I liked the visuals and general gameplay. |
| Apr 21 22:58:00 | 11m 00s | Uprooted - a carrot simulator | 24 carrot gold! (Sorry...) I found it pretty hard, but I like one-button interface and procedural map. For some reason it hangs for me if I do a full charge (Safari, MacOS), so I had to be careful not to do that. |
| Apr 21 23:14:00 | 16m 00s | Fish n' Ships | It's a real shame you didn't get to finish it, as the look and feel of sailing around is great. The art-style is lovely! I hope you get to develop it further. |
| Apr 21 23:28:00 | 14m 00s | Robo Limb | Tremendous animations and realism in the robot characters, particularly given the time constraints. Nicely done! |
| Apr 22 10:34:00 | 11h 06m | Viking Insult Fight | Great idea, and nicely polished - the subtle animations make a big difference to giving it some personality and energy.
The constant early losing is slightly frustrating - perhaps giving the player an easy win over a rubbish enemy in the second round, using something you learnt in the first round, but where you don't learn anything new would be a good way to reinforce the 'losing-is-learning' mechanic, and make you feel happier about future loses.
Good stuff, thanks! |
| Apr 22 10:46:00 | 12m 00s | Vinnie Cancer | Navigating and shooting/dodging is entertaining, and made me want to keep playing.
Nice touch having the tanks rock back when hit, and smoke rising from them works well to let you know they're dead.
I'm all for dark humour, and I know it's well intended, but I think the giving-them-cancer idea is perhaps a bit TOO nasty :-) Maybe throw nicotine patches at them to STOP them smoking/shooting!
Fun playing it - thanks! |
| Apr 22 11:05:00 | 19m 00s | Law Simulator | Absolutely love the writing - great stuff! Thanks!
Great overall structure of being story-heavy punctuated with totally different one-off mini-games, works really well.
Couldn't for the life of me do the fishing pole game unfortunately. (web version)
Now I'm just off to re-read Infinite Jest... honest. |
| Apr 22 11:39:00 | 34m 00s | Ludicrous Battleaxes | Great fun, and very slick - thanks!
Loving the look of the axe trails, and the whole world slowly spinning somehow makes it seem even more dangerous.
Think I'd probably prefer independent move/spin controls.
The variety in enemy types works a treat - plenty of depth from learning how to best handle each kind. |
| Apr 22 11:53:00 | 14m 00s | Bonfires | Looks and sounds absolutely gorgeous - nice work!
Even if it were light on specific gameplay mechanics, just wandering through a variety of worlds with that whole aesthetic would be very mellow and enjoyable. |
| Apr 22 12:23:00 | 30m 00s | The Grand Carpet Hotel | Great idea, and nicely implemented - good stuff!
(Royal Tenenbaums Tennis next please!) |
| Apr 22 12:31:00 | 8m 00s | The Landscape Processor | Oddly soothing and compelling, and totally different from anything else I've seen so far - thanks! |
| Apr 22 12:43:00 | 12m 00s | Smileraser | Great idea, and a great visual style.
Maybe I'm just lazy/stupid, but I found it nearly impossible to actually erase anything though!
Leaving behind bits of eraser and blowing them away is a lovely touch. |
| Apr 22 12:52:00 | 9m 00s | Save the Spoon | That combo of weapons definitely counts as unconventional! Fun game! |
| Apr 22 13:13:00 | 21m 00s | Gloom | Interesting idea, and immediately very atmospheric and intriguing. Good stuff!
I'd suggest a few near-constant sound sources dotted around the world (e.g. dripping water, a snoring pig, a scuttling cockroach) so that you can use them to orientate yourself and have a more intuitive feel for how much you've turned. |
| Apr 22 16:16:00 | 3h 03m | Super SALT Helmet | Awesome! Definitely one of my favourites so far.
Really good across the board - there's nothing that's shoddy, and plenty of stand-out aspects.
Customisation is nicely done, and a crazy thing to add to a jam game!
But basically I just love the slo-mo big hits - really classily done - sounds great, looks great, and feels wildly satisfying - nice work! |
| Apr 22 16:36:00 | 20m 00s | iRevolution | Lovely concept (we toyed with something along those lines, but couldn't come up with anything as good!) and lovely whole vibe to it.
Only complaint would be that it feels slow - I'd like to be able to work harder to help my cause.
Fits the theme brilliantly, and you can infer all sorts of political/social metaphors from just about every aspect of the game - really good stuff. |
| Apr 22 16:56:00 | 20m 00s | IFF | I like the core idea - having to confuse/convert enemies rather than destroying them directly is a good and interesting mechanic.
I'm sure you did it for good reasons, but the 3 limit doesn't feel terribly natural, and (maybe it's a brilliant riff on the weapon itself!) often confused me.
Like the tron/circuit-board background - nice world to be playing in.
Thanks! |
| Apr 22 21:19:00 | 4h 23m | Inverse Zombies | That's a really novel concept and it made for interesting play. I had quite a few occasions where I'd think I would die only to find I'd *just* converted one in time. |
| Apr 22 21:41:00 | 22m 00s | Wash It | I thought it looked good, despite your computer problems. The music was really great! (I love that you had a specific 'guitarist' role on the team :D) One of the green (unlocked) doors wouldn't open for me after a while, but I enjoyed what I saw, thanks. |
| Apr 22 21:52:00 | 11m 00s | Un-Convention | Love the pun-based name :) Nice work. |
| Apr 22 22:02:00 | 10m 00s | Ice Story ( koori monogatari 氷物語 ) | Fantastic graphics and audio! That definitely took me back to playing Bubble Bobble on the C64 :) Great work. |
| Apr 28 21:00:00 | 142h 58m | DRILL KNIGHT | I dig (hehe) the overall style and it feels solid. I found it pretty difficult to start with, but I was able to knock enough off over time to feel a bit better about myself :) |
