| Aug 26 12:42:00 | You have 10 seconds! | Hello, could you give more instructions? I tried 10 times but still have absolutely no idea what I’m supposed to do. I don’t even know if I’m supposed to do something with the keyboard, or the mouse, or something else. <br/> <br/>Also I’m on ArchLinux and the /usr/bin/python binary is actually Python 3, so your launch.sh script didn’t work for me. It would work better to change it to <br/> <br/>> python2 main.py || python main.py | |
| Aug 26 13:41:00 | 59m 00s | Catabolism Runner | FYI: The Linux binary didn't work on my ArchLinux (version mismatch in libGLEW), but thanks to the source code I managed to compile it and play it. <br/> <br/>The first two levels are a bit boring, the third one is easy, the fourth one is very difficult (but I managed to beat it \o/) and after that it seems to be impossible. <br/>It's a shame that you have to start over at level 1 when you lose and adding some more gameplay elements would make it less repetitive. <br/> <br/>But it's a good start anyway, keep making games :) |
| Aug 26 13:58:00 | 17m 00s | Frantic | That was fun! Sounds and music are very nice and the difficulty is good. As other said, I just found the hitbox quite buggy (bigger than the actual sprite). |
| Aug 26 14:21:00 | 23m 00s | Defense of Your Craft | A very interesting idea, but I found the controls very hard (I only tried with an Xbox gamepad and the touchpad, I don't have a mouse). In the end I was just randomly moving and placing things, hoping that it would be of any use. <br/>I also only tried in single player. |
| Aug 26 15:23:00 | 1h 02m | Rocket Rampage | Works out of the box here (ArchLinux). <br/>But it seems like my computer is too slow to run this game, I have something like 2 fps, so as soon as I press W everything changes and I don't understand what's going on anymore. |
| Aug 26 15:59:00 | 36m 00s | Ten Second Dungeon | Nice game! :) <br/> <br/>It's a bit hard and too dependent on luck (if the first few rooms don't have anything in them, you're screwed), but fun. |
| Aug 26 16:35:00 | 36m 00s | The only one | Awesome game and awesome music, congrats! <br/>The rains slows down the game a lot though (at least in the HTML5 version), which makes it quite painful to play, but the rest of the game is so good that I still played it until the end :-) |
| Aug 26 16:58:00 | 23m 00s | 10 seconds to live | Not sure what the aim of the game is and I only found two endings. Could have been a great game, but a bit too empty for now. |
| Aug 26 17:07:00 | 9m 00s | Ten second(s) hand-swords | That's so slow that I absolutely can't play it (using the .jar). I'm moving at 2 pixels per seconds. |
| Aug 26 17:09:00 | 2m 00s | SuperSleepTime | On ArchLinux, I get the following error: <br/> <br/>org.lwjgl.LWJGLException: X Error - disp: 0x7fe81c21c500 serial: 89 error: GLXBadFBConfig request_code: 154 minor_code: 34 <br/> at org.lwjgl.opengl.LinuxDisplay.globalErrorHandler(LinuxDisplay.java:318) <br/> at org.lwjgl.opengl.LinuxContextImplementation.nCreate(Native Method) <br/> at org.lwjgl.opengl.LinuxContextImplementation.create(LinuxContextImplementation.java:51) <br/> at org.lwjgl.opengl.ContextGL.<init>(ContextGL.java:132) <br/> at org.lwjgl.opengl.Display.create(Display.java:850) <br/> at org.lwjgl.opengl.Display.create(Display.java:797) <br/> at chris.hertwig.LD27.Game.initGL(Game.java:67) <br/> at chris.hertwig.LD27.Game.start(Game.java:42) <br/> at chris.hertwig.LD27.Main.main(Main.java:7) <br/> <br/>Not sure whether it's a bug or a problem with my computer. |
| Aug 26 17:14:00 | 5m 00s | The 10 (other) Seconds Journey | That's, hum, odd. And a bit boring, to be frank. You should at least add some music to it. |
| Aug 26 17:23:00 | 9m 00s | Fastboy | I didn't managed to play it. I downloaded Vice (2.4) then ran `xvic vic20_fastboy_ld27.zip' (I'm using ArchLinux, in case it matters). <br/>I can see the first screen and hear the music. When I press space, the text "loading" is displayed, and then is replaced by "press fire" after a few seconds, but then nothing happens if I press space again (or any other key). |
| Aug 26 17:35:00 | 12m 00s | Fly: Generations | Not easy but very fun! |
| Aug 26 17:56:00 | 21m 00s | Notes of a melody | Very cool game :-) |
| Aug 26 18:15:00 | 19m 00s | Debug | It doesn't load for me :-( |
| Aug 26 18:24:00 | 9m 00s | 10 seconds of hope | It does compile on Linux, but when I press space at the first screen, it freezes and I can't do anything else. <br/>My computer is not very fast, so if your game is CPU intensive maybe it's just too slow here. |
| Aug 26 18:45:00 | 21m 00s | 10 Seconds of Plagues | Nice game, but it would be even better with some music. |
| Aug 26 18:50:00 | 5m 00s | 10 Seconds Flat | I have between 2 and 3 fps, so it's not easy to play (by the way, it works on Linux) |
| Aug 26 20:23:00 | 1h 33m | ShuffleLand | Nice game, but I find it too difficult. Graphics and music are really good. |
| Aug 26 20:33:00 | 10m 00s | A Day In A Life | That was fun :-) |
| Aug 26 20:53:00 | 20m 00s | Burrito Blaze | Very addictive game, I liked it! <br/>But I find that the acid mode (after 60 seconds) rely too much on luck, often there are so many green burritos that you can't possibly go through. Also the hit box is too large, you can take burritos without touching them. <br/> <br/> <br/>On Linux I had a few problems to make it work. First the .sh failed with the error: <br/>> Error: Unable to access jarfile /home/fractal/LD27/Burrito Blaze.sh <br/>> : numeric argument requiredxit: 0 <br/> <br/>So I tried `java -jar "Burrito Blaze.sh"', and it worked, except that I got a NumberFormatException which was due to the fact that I use a locale using , as a decimal separator. <br/> <br/>In the end, I had to run the command `LC_ALL=C java -jar "Burrito Blaze.sh"' |
| Aug 26 21:38:00 | 45m 00s | squaredare | You should definitely include the .love file in the source, I only have a Linux computer and I usually skip immediately games with only a Windows and Source link. It's good that this time I read the description before and noticed that I would be able to play it. <br/> <br/>It goes a bit too fast but the game is really addictive. |
| Aug 26 21:45:00 | 7m 00s | Rainy Rainbow | I can't play it (on ArchLinux), I get the error: <br/>> Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no lwjgl in java.library.path <br/>[...] <br/> <br/>(and lwjgl is installed) |
| Aug 26 21:50:00 | 5m 00s | 40 in 10 | That's fun, but not really a game. |
| Aug 26 22:06:00 | 16m 00s | Ten 2nd's | Very fun! <br/>The Linux version doesn't work on ArchLinux (because of a version mismatch in libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0) but the web version does. Also you need to include the source. |
| Aug 26 22:10:00 | 4m 00s | Back for Seconds | I have no idea what's going on with this game. |
| Aug 26 22:17:00 | 7m 00s | Avalanche | That's very good, you should definitely keep making games :-) |
| Aug 26 23:40:00 | 1h 23m | 10 Floors | The Linux binary doesn't work, it seems that you forgot to include the data folder: <br/> <br/>Set current directory to /home/fractal/LD27/ld27 <br/>Found path: /home/fractal/LD27/ld27/10floors.x86 <br/>There is no data folder |
| Aug 26 23:50:00 | 10m 00s | Extreme Trauma Surgeon | The timer is a bit useless and it's a shame that there are only two mini-games. |
| Aug 27 00:24:00 | 34m 00s | GitGirl - Conflict Resolver | The Linux build seems to work but (at least on my computer) it's so slow that it's unplayable (about 1 or 2 fps, even on the title page). |
| Aug 27 09:18:00 | 8h 54m | Hellish Copter | Hey, could you put the .love in the source files? I'm on Linux and the version in the GitHub repo does not work (it's looking for the file "ld27/init.lua" instead of "init.lua") |
| Aug 27 09:36:00 | 18m 00s | Test Subject 13B | Nice addictive game, a little hard at the beginning and a little easy in the end. I managed to get the golden shield and the golden sword at which point it's easy to kill all monsters everytime. |
| Aug 27 09:58:00 | 22m 00s | mircale_ten_second | Maybe I missed something but I don't see the point of opponents, they can't take you the ball and they do not prevent you from shooting. For every level, you can just move to the basket and shoot. |
| Aug 27 12:57:00 | 2h 59m | Navigator | Very good, I like it! |
| Aug 27 13:10:00 | 13m 00s | Seconds | Pretty good, but way too repetitive. Having 100 almost identical levels is too much. |
| Aug 27 13:22:00 | 12m 00s | 10 seconds to LAUNCH!! | This is way too slow, I can't play it :-( |
| Aug 27 13:47:00 | 25m 00s | Vacuous | Nice game! (and it works well with an Xbox 360 gamepad (on Linux)) |
| Aug 27 15:42:00 | 1h 55m | Ten Sextillion Zeptoseconds | I have the same problem as xhunterko, I can't even pass level 1 because the square is stuck all the time. <br/>It seems that you're doing the following: if the next move makes me hit a wall, then do not move at all. But it means that on a slow computer we can get stuck much more easily because the square will stop well before the wall. <br/>Please fix, I want to play it. |
| Aug 27 15:52:00 | 10m 00s | Time Syndrome | Difficulty is a bit strange, it's quite hard to get to the gun, but then it's very easy. <br/>Also for the compo you're supposed to do the music yourself. |
| Aug 27 15:58:00 | 6m 00s | Alien Attack | Not bad but very slow. And why is my ship oscillating randomly around my mouse? |
| Aug 28 00:24:00 | 8h 26m | Time Wizard | Good game! I liked the fact that there are many levels. |
| Aug 28 22:29:00 | 22h 05m | Hot Potato | I found this game a bit boring, especially given that you get the same minigames over and over again. |
| Aug 28 22:33:00 | 4m 00s | Small fish | Could you make a Linux version? I heard that it's easy for Unity games. |
| Aug 28 22:38:00 | 5m 00s | Ten 10-Second Seconds | That's a very simplistic game, but I actually really enjoyed it :-) |
| Aug 28 22:47:00 | 9m 00s | Swipe The Roast | That's very difficult, the cart can get stuck very easily. But the idea is original. |
| Aug 28 22:53:00 | 6m 00s | 10 Seconds of Thrust | That's quite hard but very interesting (I haven't finished it, but I will try again) |
| Aug 28 23:07:00 | 14m 00s | Tenth Second | I can't figure out how to progress, but maybe that's because I'm tired. Interesting idea though. |
| Aug 29 21:33:00 | 22h 26m | DungeonRaider | Very nice! Especially for a game made in 15 hours |
| Aug 29 22:06:00 | 33m 00s | Microbes | Good game! |
| Aug 29 22:38:00 | 32m 00s | Naskea | That's soooo hard! (especially without a touchpad) <br/>But I finally did it (in 9.52 seconds). <br/>Really good game :-) |
| Aug 29 23:03:00 | 25m 00s | Nonzero | Interesting game even if it's a bit hard to understand the rules. I managed to reach level 10 but then it was becoming too hard. |
| Aug 31 14:51:00 | 39h 48m | Labyten | Good game! It's a bit frustrating when you lose, because you have to start over at the beginning, but I guess that's what was intended. |
| Aug 31 15:03:00 | 12m 00s | Decem Libros | Controls are very hard, there should be keyboard shortcuts for everything. Also there is rarely any feedback for actions. For instance sometimes I try to shoot a fireball, but I don't know if it worked but the enemies are too powerful, or if I didn't have enough mana, or if I didn't click hard enough on my mouse button. <br/>The general idea of the game seems good, though. |
| Aug 31 15:29:00 | 26m 00s | Robby | I haven't found out how to win yet, but it's a very fun game. The ASCII art graphics are very good. |
| Aug 31 15:35:00 | 6m 00s | Spark | I very often get the following error message when going from one level to the next one: <br/> <br/>An error has occured that has caused Spark to stop. <br/>You can notify Andrea Montagna about this at http://fullmontis.tumblr.com |
| Aug 31 15:44:00 | 9m 00s | Sky Turkeys Extreme | Good idea, but that's a bit too chaotic to be really enjoyable. |
| Aug 31 15:49:00 | 5m 00s | Parachute Rush | You should explain the controls, it took me a long time to understand that it seems to have something to do with the mouse, and even now I don't understand how I'm supposed to control it with the mouse. |
| Aug 31 16:02:00 | 13m 00s | Deja Vu | Very nice game, I liked it! |
| Aug 31 16:11:00 | 9m 00s | BOOOOOOOOOOM | Game does not load either (I'm on Linux as well). |
| Aug 31 16:28:00 | 17m 00s | Space Rift | Graphics and sounds are very good, but it's a bit too hard for me. |
| Aug 31 16:36:00 | 8m 00s | 10 Seconds of Gas | The "10 seconds of gas" thing is basically useless given how easy it is to find more gas, the real problem is in dodging asteroids. <br/>Also the game lacks features, but the existing features are well done. |
| Aug 31 16:43:00 | 7m 00s | 10 seconds of hell! | Very strange game, but not so bad :-) |
| Aug 31 16:52:00 | 9m 00s | Ten Seconds Of The Life Of One God | Sounds fun but I have no idea what I'm supposed to do. |
| Aug 31 17:09:00 | 17m 00s | Grind | The map is too large, we cannot see where we are supposed to go, and 10 seconds is not enough. <br/>But the rest of the game is good. |
| Aug 31 17:18:00 | 9m 00s | Boyfriend Simulator: Feed My Boyfriend | Weird game, but well done. |
| Aug 31 17:24:00 | 6m 00s | Time Ball! | It takes too long to jump, so often it doesn't jump even though I pressed W before the red part. |
| Aug 31 17:25:00 | 1m 00s | Raging Clue | I get a 404 for the Linux link. |
| Aug 31 17:41:00 | 16m 00s | GIMP the Tapedeck-Operated Robot | Nice game, but the controls are very awkward. |
| Aug 31 17:47:00 | 6m 00s | Flash of Light | Nice game, a bit too simplistic and the fact that the battery does not reset at each level makes it hard to use. |
| Aug 31 17:50:00 | 3m 00s | 10 Second Hero | Does not work on Linux here, it gives something like: <br/>System.TypeInitializationException: An exception was thrown by the type initializer for OpenTK.Graphics.GraphicsContext ---> System.TypeInitializationException: An exception was thrown by the type initializer for OpenTK.Platform.Factory ---> System.TypeInitializationException: An exception was thrown by the type initializer for OpenTK.Configuration ---> System.DllNotFoundException: libc |
| Aug 31 18:00:00 | 10m 00s | Dan Dynamite | A good start, but indeed, it doesn't seem really finished. |
| Sep 4 22:45:00 | 100h 45m | Triad | This game looks very interesting but with only a touchpad I don't think I can rate it fairly. The music is quite good, how did you make it? |
| Sep 4 23:17:00 | 32m 00s | CatWalk: Final battle | Very good but a bit too short. |
| Sep 4 23:23:00 | 6m 00s | 100-Dash Dreams | Not very original but quite fun. |
| Sep 4 23:29:00 | 6m 00s | Programming Failure | I like the graphics, but the collisions are indeed very slightly glitchy :-) Too bad it took you so long to try to fix the collisions. |
| Sep 4 23:35:00 | 6m 00s | Terminal 10 | Very fun and yay for DDR! :-) |
| Sep 4 23:47:00 | 12m 00s | SWEAT | Quite hard, but very nice. At some point the music just stopped without starting again, is that expected? |
| Sep 4 23:58:00 | 11m 00s | Sky Trader | Very good graphics and very good game! |
| Sep 5 00:07:00 | 9m 00s | laGrengine | It doesn't work on Linux 64 bits, it's looking for the file lib/gluegen-rt-natives-linux-amd64.jar whereas you only bundled lib/gluegen-rt-natives-linux-i586.jar. |
| Sep 5 15:42:00 | 15h 35m | 10 Seconds to Save the World | Pretty good game. The sounds are quite painful to hear, but I guess that's intended. Also I don't understand why you can't fix the bug, you can create a Dropbox account and upload it here, you will have complete control of the HTML around it. |
| Sep 5 15:54:00 | 12m 00s | Treasures of the Decimaze | Interesting idea, but it was a bit boring to wait until a particular maze arrives and also a bit frustrating not to be able to see the whole maze. |
| Sep 5 16:08:00 | 14m 00s | Life of a Photon | Very nice game, and the music is awesome. |
| Sep 6 08:30:00 | 16h 22m | 10 Second Waves | It's a good start! It's a shame that we can't move or shoot diagonally and more stuff would deserve to be added to the game, but for one of your first games, that's not bad. |
| Sep 16 18:47:00 | 250h 17m | WorkItUp | Time is actually not a concern, as others have noticed, you can just press Down for a long time. The general idea is interesting but would maybe require some more thought, the main concern right now is to manage to *avoid* gaining seconds, because it moves your character down. |
| Sep 16 18:55:00 | 8m 00s | Korrod | Doesn’t work here (ArchLinux, 64 bits). The sound works but the graphics are all broken, all I can see is a trail of triangles going to the upper right corner. <br/> <br/>Here is my version of Java: <br/>$ java -version <br/>java version "1.7.0_40" <br/>OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea 2.4.1) (ArchLinux build 7.u40_2.4.1-3-x86_64) <br/>OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 24.0-b50, mixed mode) <br/> <br/>And here is the error message on the command line: <br/>$ sh "Korrod (64 bit)" <br/>OpenGL error 1280 at bot beginDraw(): invalid enumerant <br/>OpenGL error 1280 at bot endDraw(): invalid enumerant <br/>OpenGL error 1282 at bot endDraw(): invalid operation <br/>OpenGL error 1282 at bot beginDraw(): invalid operation <br/>X11Util.Display: Shutdown (JVM shutdown: true, open (no close attempt): 1/1, reusable (open, marked uncloseable): 0, pending (open in creation order): 1) <br/>X11Util: Open X11 Display Connections: 1 <br/>X11Util: Open[0]: NamedX11Display[:0, 0x7fb14433e2f0, refCount 1, unCloseable false] |
| Sep 16 19:07:00 | 12m 00s | SF-1 | I like the idea of having to count to ten, but the inertia makes the game very difficult, I didn't pass level 1. |
| Sep 16 19:25:00 | 18m 00s | Big Sad | Very clever idea the "try with no money" thing :-) <br/>There are a few annoying moments where you jump but you do not see where you are going to land, but it's still a good game! |
| Sep 16 19:39:00 | 14m 00s | Shark Spawn | Nice game, it took me some time to understand what the colors mean, but I enjoyed it. |
| Sep 16 19:50:00 | 11m 00s | A Timely Dimension of Space | Interesting idea, unfortunately the resulting game is a bit boring. |
| Sep 16 20:35:00 | 45m 00s | Nuclear Adventure | Not bad for a first game |
| Sep 16 20:49:00 | 14m 00s | EscapeRush! | Nice game, but as others already said, trying to increase the frustration isn't a good idea. |
| Sep 16 20:55:00 | 6m 00s | Seamless | Good game, although a bit short. The first screen was really confusing, I was trying to move my (nonexistent) character, and then the game exited by itself after 10 seconds. |
