Aug 27 12:09:00 OF SPECIES The graphics are really fantastic - I felt they set the mood really well! I was a little creeped out, and the ending certainly caught me by surprise. Overall, I really enjoyed this.
Aug 27 12:19:00 10m 00s EVO-001 I liked this game; in particular I found the story behind it to be entertaining! The gameplay was pretty enjoyable, though I feel the controls were a little bit clunky and slow. Still, well done. :)
Aug 27 12:26:00 7m 00s CORE DUMP I'm not entirely sure what the overall aim for the player was with the game. Still, the graphics and sprites were pretty sweet. :)
Aug 27 13:19:00 53m 00s Papillon Bosses 4 and 5 just made me want to punch my screen. The laser attacks in particular caught me out whenever the flash-step didn't register. Just getting that out of the way first...

However I loved the game as a whole - the graphics were superb, and I thought the concept of an evolving boss monster was pretty awesome. The selection of powers overall was well thought out, although I really disliked backtracking everywhere only to find I was still missing a butterfly or something.

Still, fantastic for 48 hours!
Aug 27 14:13:00 54m 00s Literally; Earth Shaping I had a little trouble working out how to play the game at first, but it seems like quite an interesting concept!
Aug 27 14:32:00 19m 00s The Darwinizer I quite enjoyed the concept behind this game, and the dinosaur sprites are very cute and well drawn. :)

Keep up the good work!
Aug 27 15:01:00 29m 00s Evolve & Conquer I think my game crashed midway through, but pretty neat concept! Defeating the enemy is really quite a difficult task in and of itself, and the different types of lifeform are quite well thought out. I think the game could be improved if there were more visual representations of what lifeform inhabited what planet - when you're frantically dragging lifeforms to defend your planet checking the text can be quite bothersome.
Aug 27 17:12:00 2h 11m Strike of Rage ! Wow, this game utterly hilarious, beautiful and great fun to play all at once! Amazing for 48 hours, certainly!
Aug 27 17:41:00 29m 00s .ISO - Part One Hey, I'm enjoying your game but you mention in the info page that you take some of the music from this collection: http://feryl.bandcamp.com/album/8-bit-magic-a-module-chiptune-collection .

Sorry to be a wet blanket, but all of your content has to have been made within the 48 hours, and by only yourself to be valid for the Compo - I understand you've probably overlooked the rule by accident, I'm just saying to give you a heads up. Still, keep up the good work!
Aug 27 17:51:00 10m 00s Direction I quite like the concept of evolving your army of creatures throughout the game. Although I only made it to wave 4, I had fun playing. Well done! :)
Aug 27 18:55:00 1h 04m Terra Tam: The World Warrior Wow, the "fights" and the ending were hilarious! Great work. :)
Aug 27 19:07:00 12m 00s The Balance Lovely graphics and nice music, but I'll admit I found the gameplay to be repetitive.
Aug 27 19:14:00 7m 00s Derpymon Blue The title screen was really funny, but raising strong enough mons is really quite difficult!
Aug 27 19:31:00 17m 00s Evolution: A Parallel Narrative The design of the website is certainly striking; the textured background makes it feel as though you're reading a real book. I found the story as a whole very interesting, and the ending certainly gave me a chuckle! :) I'm really glad to see that text adventures have grown in popularity this year - and yours is particularly excellent! :)
Aug 27 20:11:00 40m 00s Dinosaur Survival Bash!! The graphics are really lovely, and there's quite a lot of fun to be had from marching around a fire breathing dinosaur, too. :) Good Job!
Aug 27 20:27:00 16m 00s Tactical Binary Evolution Combat (TBEC) I quite liked this game, though I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to play properly. Still, the graphics have a lovely retro feel to them, and the mix of RTS mechanics with evolution seems very interesting indeed.
Aug 27 20:34:00 7m 00s Help! My Game's Mutating! The idea behind this is fantastic, it seems like it could be great as a post-compo. Sadly, the gameplay is a little lacklustre, but well done!
Aug 27 20:37:00 3m 00s Orbitary Pretty cool! It really reminded me of the game Osmo, and although I'm not sure how it ties into the theme It certainly looks nice.
Aug 27 21:03:00 26m 00s Neural Nodes I love the simple, yet engaging game mechanics and the art. I did however fall victim to a hilarious glitch where one of my astronauts walked off the creature to their apparent doom. :P I think this game would have greatly benefited from audio: I'd love to see what you could do for a post-compo version!
Aug 27 21:18:00 15m 00s Species Wow, once the lights went out I think my heart stopped for a second - it had great atmosphere for a ludum dare game!
Aug 27 21:26:00 8m 00s alteration Fun, but I really felt my arm tiring having to repeatedly tap the movement keys. Maybe you could make movement continue when the button is held in a post-compo version? :)
Aug 27 21:32:00 6m 00s It Will Grow The game itself is very relaxing and laid back - a great change of pace from the other games I've seen for the most part. :) I had some trouble trying to mix the plants (making it as far as ivy..) but it seems like it could be a very deep, interesting idea for a game.
Aug 27 21:43:00 11m 00s RED PLANET I certainly enjoyed the story, but truth be told I was a little squicked out by some of the body horror alluded to in the ending. Still, I thought it was well planned out. :)

The music suited the game, and the graphics were really quite pleasing too. Very well done!
Aug 27 21:56:00 13m 00s Evil Lucien I quite liked it, until I fell into the infinite void. Still, I'm sure you could expand upon it the way you originally intended for a post-compo version, the visuals really work great for this as well. :)
Aug 27 23:07:00 1h 11m uni.bb I found this interesting, yet at the same time it wasn't fun. Still, given it was created in around 30 minutes I think you've done great! I can't help but wonder what uni.bb contains, however...
Aug 27 23:20:00 13m 00s Swarm Kinda tricky to get started, but it's really quite enjoyable when you get into it - I love dual-stick styled shooters, and this stays quite true to the genre. :)
Aug 27 23:31:00 11m 00s Socket City Seems really quite interesting - I couldn't make it past day 3 though. :P The concept of expanding a city in space is pretty neat I must admit.
Aug 27 23:39:00 8m 00s Iterate I really liked the graphic style of this game, it's pretty damn awesome! Having the main boss force you to evolve and change throughout the game is a unique take on the theme - my only gripe with the game is that it's really kinda short. Still, well done. :)
Aug 27 23:52:00 13m 00s Religion Evolutionary Simulator The idea of modelling the evolution of religions seems absolutely great to me, and though it's not particularly fun just now I think some of the elements you wanted to include would make for a great post-compo version.
Aug 28 00:10:00 18m 00s cuboidAI I was expecting to be impressed by this, yet to be bored too. And how wrong I was. Watching the tiny critters slowly learn how to dodge worms, seek out food in scarcity and spread across the board like ants just left me in awe - and after roughly 10 minutes I was still amazed! Very nicely done! :D
Aug 28 01:13:00 1h 03m The Erebus and the Terror I'm really, really enjoying this IF so far; mine pales in comparison! However, I've reached a point where I feel the game may be slightly broken - it seems you are allowed to open the pantry multiple times. I'm unsure if this is intended behaviour (I'm trying to complete Raul's second objective).
Aug 28 12:14:00 11h 01m Cat Evolution! I really quite liked this game, the backstory gave me a chuckle too. :) The mechanics behind this game are pretty great, and the monoliths make for some interesting tactical options.
Aug 28 22:20:00 10h 06m Evoltus The base concept behind the game was pretty neat, but I feel the game would benefit greatly from more fluidity in the character's movements. Also, The music could do with a little work I think. Still, good effort! :)
Aug 28 22:33:00 13m 00s Dinosaurs must Die! While the controls are quite tricky, the game had a nice amount of wit and humour. Great job1 :P
Aug 28 22:41:00 8m 00s Rift of Time The control mechanisms were very interesting indeed! It's great to see such a unique, polished game - I think music could have made it even better though :)
Aug 28 23:21:00 40m 00s Eat or Die Wow, I simply could not stop laughing once the guy's head fell off!
Aug 29 00:54:00 1h 33m Encarmine Wow, as a die-hard fan of visual novels I have to say that was fantastic! The art was well drawn, the character designs were really cool and the writing was good too.

The change in character personalities over time worked well but it seemed really quite sudden; it'd be great in a longer story where it could be presented a little more subtly. The whole angel-eyes thing reminded me a little of the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, and as a whole the story was very descriptive and immersive. The softer music in the game worked really well, but some of the action pieces would have worked better with a tad more production - all of the music was enjoyable and suited its purpose, however. :) The ending was certainly quite unexpected, and I think the somewhat less than happy ending enhanced the game by setting a very dark tone overall.

If you hadn't guessed from the screeds I've written here, I really liked the game! ;) Great job, and keep up the good work in future!
Aug 29 01:11:00 17m 00s Goin' Bananas - A Sci-Fi Melodrama That... That was beautiful. I simply could not stop laughing for the whole game; it kept alternating between heartfelt emotion and manic, hilariously great wit at such a ridiculous pace that I didn't know what to feel.

I started out by looking for everyone else who used Twine, and I ended crying tears of laughter. Thank you.
Aug 29 11:03:00 9h 52m You Made them! I was utterly perplexed, and the lack of feedback didn't help at all. Oh, tell the guys back on scratch that RHY and Mach said hi! :)
Aug 29 12:03:00 1h 00m Revolution Wow, the graphics are great and the game mechanics are really unique. Nicely done! :P
Aug 29 12:09:00 6m 00s Pixels through time It doesn't seem to load on my windows 7 PC. I'm running Java 7, by the way.
Aug 29 12:26:00 17m 00s A Castle in the Desert I really liked this game - the minimal graphics suited it really well! The music was pleasant too, but I think the final level could have given the player more time or been a little easier. Still, great effort :)
Aug 29 13:27:00 1h 01m the Evolution from zx81 It was okay. Gameplay reminded me of Ice Climbers.
Aug 29 13:33:00 6m 00s Complexitivity I liked the fun, arcade-style gameplay in this game. The graphics were very nicely done, though I noticed the music didn't loop properly. Still, awesome job! :) (And humans look up, sometimes anyway). ;)
Aug 29 13:39:00 6m 00s [0-Evo] I really liked the idea behind this, and it was well supported by the excellent graphics. The sounds were very nice and organic, fitting the game very well. If I had to suggest anything, I'd ask that the difference between the two opposing cells could be made clearer - they're pretty easy to differentiate, but since the colours are quite close by it could present a problem for some players. Still, you've done a great job here. :)
Aug 29 13:45:00 6m 00s SURVIVE I really loved the graphic style of this - thought the fine art of staying alive eluded me. Great job!
Aug 29 14:03:00 18m 00s kinetic dream Wow, I really enjoyed this game. The text popping up occasionally reminded me a little of giygas, though... :)
Aug 29 15:13:00 1h 10m Paprika Blue The graphics are certainly very unique; I love that painterly feel! I'd really love to see more levels in the game - it could make for a really great experience if it were expanded upon. Great job! :)
Aug 29 16:10:00 57m 00s kernel exception Really liked this game! Seeing an RTS was really quite unexpected for me, but everything's been done really well with this! Great job! :)
Aug 29 16:19:00 9m 00s Dr. Helix This game makes for a great spot of silly, well-executed fun. And that's awesome! :P
Aug 29 16:32:00 13m 00s Dragonkin EVO I found it took far, far too long to progress within the game. It just did not make for a very engaging experience.
Aug 29 18:09:00 1h 37m Unnatural Selection Throwing meteors at the helpless dinosaurs is just the funniest thing. On this, we can all agree.
Aug 29 18:40:00 31m 00s My Sword Is Faster Than Your Bullet Interesting take on the theme, difficult too.
Aug 29 19:12:00 32m 00s The World Tree Getting caught by a nightmare square through a wall was easily the low point. Still, interesting concept. :)
Aug 29 20:19:00 1h 07m And Thus She Spake That was pretty sweet, really reminded me of osmo.
Aug 29 20:40:00 21m 00s B M S I quite liked this as a fan of text adventures and the like. A few commas here and there would be nice; natural pauses in the sentences do a world of good! :) Still, I did quite enjoy this - good effort! :P
Aug 29 21:26:00 46m 00s Pursuit Of True Self I couldn't help but aww at the protagonist. He's really quite adorable. :) I actually really liked this game, it's no doubt one of the most heartwarming ones I've played so far. From a gameplay perspective I quite liked this too - except that by the end the onslaught of words inevitably gets you the bad ending. Still, great job! :)
Aug 29 21:32:00 6m 00s Disgruntled Paddles VERSUS Evolution I quite liked the mutations you could make - ultimately the game proved to become fiendishly difficult yet you could rack up score in no time. On the note of racking up score, the player can catch the ball inside of the paddle, essentially causing them to win the round as it bounces back and forth. Still, well done! :)
Aug 29 21:42:00 10m 00s EvoR I agree, you should move to XNA for making your games (XNA is practically designed for them, after all).
Aug 29 21:45:00 3m 00s Artificial Selection Took me a second to get the controls, but the game itself is quite nice. :) I like the music, too! :D
Aug 29 21:51:00 6m 00s Bakeneko I really quite liked this, the game was really quite peaceful and relaxed compared to most others - undoubtedly a good thing! ;) Great job with this, and though I think it could be expanded on a little you've done great for 48 hours. :)
Aug 29 21:56:00 5m 00s Deal with It I quiet liked this; it reminded me quite a lot of super meat boy! The humour added some nice touches too - great job on the whole thing :)
Aug 29 22:03:00 7m 00s LimiT Wow, I adored the art style for this! The ending kinda spooked me, but I thought it was very interesting indeed. The game mechanics are a bit bland, but I think they would end up like that if you put so much effort into the graphics. :) Great Job! :D
Aug 29 22:12:00 9m 00s SUPER Levolution I really enjoy seeing online games appear in Ludum Dare, especially ones so polished. The graphics are lovely, and the music is probably some of the best I've heard so far. I managed to get a top score of 45 by the way! ;) (Also, is there a way to download that song?)
Aug 29 22:25:00 13m 00s Octogeddon That was great! The music is really fantastic, and the general craziness of the concept makes the game very entertaining indeed.
Aug 30 00:09:00 1h 44m GiRL2501 I have to say, this game's really awesome! The colour palette works great, and the UI and graphics have a slick, futuristic feel to them - it works fantastically! The music for the game adds to the action, it's well composed. :) It's a little weird when your shockwaves get caught on a wall, or when the music stops playing though. Fantastically done! :)
Aug 30 00:36:00 27m 00s Curiosity, The Untold Story That was probably the single most fun I've had out of all the games I've played so far. Deep down, you know you're right about Curiosity's true purpose... ;)
Aug 30 00:57:00 21m 00s How Mosquito Became Human That was certainly very unique - can't say I've seen a mosquito evolve into a frog by eating some of them! :P The music was great, and really suited the graphic style. I enjoyed the sense of humour present throughout. :D
Aug 30 01:06:00 9m 00s Dissolution I quite liked this, the Dude is quite an endearing fellow. :) I think the idea of a black and white character in a colourful world is really quite interesting, and it seems like this could be a really good game if you had more time to work on it! :)
Aug 30 01:19:00 13m 00s How evolution really works? Wow, that was really quite funny. Always great to see something so different in LD. :)
Aug 30 16:08:00 14h 49m Super Robocade Nice gameboy visuals, gamplay reminds me a lot of The original mario bros game and super Cratebox. Good job! :)
