| Apr 23 19:59:00 | One Room War | Fun little blaster. Music fits nicely and adds to the manic atmosphere, like the sarcy game over messages hehe, too many enemies indeed! Some more enemy variations would have been nice. The power-ups were implemented nicely and it's in a Tiny World so it does fit the theme also! | |
| Apr 23 20:06:00 | 7m 00s | Bunny Simulator | Very nice graphics. I wish I could make art like that. |
| Apr 23 20:16:00 | 10m 00s | Spaceman Biff vs The Red Robots | That was pretty good fun! Played through on Tiny World mode, the minimap is really handy to have, well thought out GUI, nicely made 3d graphics, all fitting within the general theme of the game. Sound would have made it even better but, hey, there's only 48 hours available. Excellent! |
| Apr 23 20:26:00 | 10m 00s | Massive Attract | Hmm, was that 2 unlimited in midi format as the intro? I saved the planet in 45 seconds so it didn't suck to be them for too long :) Actually, yeah, +1 more humor for the 2 unlimited midi hahaha, ohh the early ninties... |
| Apr 23 20:34:00 | 8m 00s | Alien Punch! | So. what is cooler than being a space giant that punches aliens into planets to make them explode? Not much. Cool concept! Executed well, enjoyed the ending, ohh, those cheeky aliens! With their ever increasing numbers!! Thoroughly Enjoyable and well paced. |
| Apr 23 21:49:00 | 1h 15m | Dr. Nano - tiny surgeon | Woah, a bullet hell shooter, with some really awesome graphics, matching sounds and Boss fights. In 48 hours? Which makes me feel like I was playing the cartoon video game version of the film Innerspace? I used to play through Ikaruga a lot whilst I was at uni and I only made it part way through level 3 but it was really good fun to play also. I lost the patient... Nooooo! Excellent game! |
| Apr 24 20:00:00 | 22h 11m | Tiny Tale | The graphics are nice enough and the swirly effect between screens is quite effective in creating a dreamlike mood but for some reason the game seems to (frustratingly) break down after the 3rd or 4th screen. It's still running but the guy gets lost behind the church? and there doesn't seem to be any interaction with e apart from to remove the bubble at the start. I'd like to see more of the game though :) |
| Apr 24 20:09:00 | 9m 00s | Escape | Ohhh, a slightly more sinister entry! Made me feel like I was stuck in a B-Movie with the approaching wall of death! Think I lost something in the readme though as it didn't seem to harvest anything i drove over although that oculd just be me. Good effort, nice to see something a bit dark :D |
| Apr 24 20:13:00 | 4m 00s | Runaway Square | Sadly this failed to run on my PC but Conrgratulations for creating your first game ever! It's a fun experience and remember, everyone starts off with something basic first. I get a generic "windows 7 can't do this" box if that's any help at all with a re-compile? |
| Apr 24 20:23:00 | 10m 00s | The World in a Bottle | Cool game, cool artwork, cool concept! I think I might have enjoyed playing the role of the evil scientist a bit too much in this case as I now plan to buld my own shrink ray and...err no, wait a moment, that's going a bit far. It took me a couple of attmpets to figure out the controls but I really like how this game plays out seperating hte level into 2 halves with the collecting of humans and then the gruesome destruction of said humans. Quite a toughie to get the hang of but really fun once you get the hang of it. |
| Apr 24 20:36:00 | 13m 00s | Professor Squeaks: The Circuitous Escape! | Took a while to load up on the web version but it was worth it, neat little physics puzzler :) Good graphics, I found it hard to complete some circuits, purely because I don't remember that much of my physics lessons from way back when but I escaped the lab with my tail intact. Could probably do with tutorial on the icons but well done, good entry! |
| Apr 24 20:47:00 | 11m 00s | Ugly bald protagonist escaping a somewhat tiny world | Overall a decent entry but the lack of sound and notification of collisions with monsters harmed the expereience a bit for me. The pixelly graphics have a cetain charm to them and I'm guessing the monsters eat the keys? Enemy placement can sometimes make sections impasable which was frustrating but conrgratulations are deserved for creating such a world in such little time and with a tiny .swf file at the end of it 12.7 kb? How is that even possible?! :D |
| Apr 24 21:01:00 | 14m 00s | Rockland | Nice art style, groovy concept with the whole tiny floating island in the sky. There's a game start, gameplay and an ending which is all cool and a scoring system in play somewhere behind the scenes. I died the first couple of times then found my strategy to get the money and won, huzzah! Sound would make this game more complete but hey, this is LD ,there's only 48 hours and a dudes gotta sleep right? Look forward to seeing your next LD :) |
| Apr 24 21:17:00 | 16m 00s | Epic Scale Warfare | Okies, it works well in Google Chrome on Win7 peeps and probably Chrome on most other OS also therfore. Another, unsuspectingly dark game, made a bit more potent for me, being a dad 'n' everything. Has a clear message behind it and whilst it's not the classic definition of a game. I appreciate the minimalism of it as it conveys the creators view on the futile pointlessness of war well. |
| Apr 24 21:31:00 | 14m 00s | El Petit Messi | Groovy little game. I liked the ball-weapon mechanic and the difficulty scales up nicely with the number of enemies on screen, time left, etc the ball becomes the more important tool. <br/> <br/>I agree with Zener in that platforms and maybe barriers would extend the re-playability of the game post-dare. |
| Apr 24 22:41:00 | 1h 10m | Forever Alone | Ahh, afer playing this nice, calm, relaxing game about destroying planets whilst your planet grows to gargantuan proportions I feel much better :) Very nice resource management, I still couldn't beat it, after my 3rd/ 4th try but never mind, the point is that I had fun whilst playing it, the soothing music matches the movement of the craft which is quite responsive yet forgiving. Glad to see the important GUI elements are there, without that red arrow pointing to home I would have got lost quite easily. <br/> <br/>You may need to upgrade your JRE to run this but it's worth it :) |
| Apr 25 20:30:00 | 21h 49m | Orbiter | Nice game. I would love to see some form of player control through the active level so you're not left there watching turrets which would up the gameplay a bit. Still, a well presented game with some replay potential after some post dare coding. I was looking forward to more than credits in the ending but hey, only 48 hours, great stuff! |
| Apr 25 20:47:00 | 17m 00s | Red | Some very nice unity3d work here, Played to the end, I may have missed some red bits along the way. Had some challenging areas, the vertical chute was a nice bit. Took me a moment to figure out what was causing the massive umps then I noticed the graphical cues so I could take advanatage of the massive jumps. Did I mention that it's very nicely styled? Good work, nice platformy game. |
| Apr 25 20:52:00 | 5m 00s | KittenWorld | Game didn't run in Firefox on Win 7 ( 64 bit) Shame that as I like the picture of the zombie kitten ^..^ |
| Apr 25 20:59:00 | 7m 00s | Chip Wars | Certainly a cool concept, functional looks and it reminds me of darwinia a lil bit :) I didn't get too far into the game sadly but would like to see an extended version of the game, ideally with a tutorial section :) It's a tough one to rate for me though as I couldn't get that into the game sadly. |
| Apr 25 21:14:00 | 15m 00s | Trapped Genie | Okay, so, it's unfinished and it's a little buggy but, what there is here in my opinion is the beginnings of a good game. Found 3 of the 4 keys, got to the next level. It fits the theme very well and is a nice change of game style. The music is a nice touch and well done for putting this all together so far :D |
| Apr 25 21:25:00 | 11m 00s | Tiny Worlds | Really fun game once you get into it, nice mechanics at play here, runs well, matching sound effects, really enjoyed playing it! |
| Apr 25 21:42:00 | 17m 00s | Tiny Catan | Groovy lil sim game. Impressive that you made this all generated in just code. Island generation must've been fairly tough to figure out and implement in a short time. Made it the year 5000 with a good number of peeps. Not sure how sound effects could have been implemented in this sim-game but maybe some audio in a future version based on the status of your little world would be cool. |
| Apr 25 21:48:00 | 6m 00s | A Tiny New World | Well done for creating and submitting a Ludum Dare entry. Admittedly, there's not much there currently but I'm sure if you get to spend some more time on it over the coming weeks it'll turn into something much better. Feedback, health bars, boss fights, enemies which can dodge / shoot back, etc. |
| Apr 25 21:53:00 | 5m 00s | Wirepair | Nice little game, it's got the main elements there including some nice sfx and a non intrusive bgm. With the addition of enemies ...err cable tidies? to block your progress and some snappier controls (movement felt a bit slow for me there) It'll add some more replayability. Good, solid entry into LD 23, Well done. |
| Apr 25 22:18:00 | 25m 00s | Mini-Worlds and Monocles | Nice platformer action. Goo plan with the cut scenes and bonus footage, where's THAT guy's monocle huh? :) Best robot platform game based on monocles and Gentlemen Space Adventurers I've played thus far. A Complete game including a nicely animated ending to boot. More enemy variants would be nice but, in 48 hours that's probably asking a bit much when there's already a lot of good stuff here. <br/> <br/>Hope you get some good feedback on kongregate and the game develops further in time.... and space ;) |
| Apr 29 09:17:00 | 82h 59m | Polarity | Sweet Physics Puzzler! I got to the 10th level i think it was infinite potential well then got stuck. Really playable game and muchly enjoyed. Mobile version plz :) <br/> <br/>Just read te tip for level 10 , will have to play through again :) |
| Apr 29 09:35:00 | 18m 00s | HeroRoll | Fairly buggy entry for me sadly, kept tapping 'Z' or 'z' when an enemy was in range and nothing was happening half of the time which is a shame as I can see it being a lot more playable once the bugs have been ironed out. <br/> <br/>Played a few times to see if I was missing something but sadly couldn't determine what. I'd definately like to see the finished product though :) |
| Apr 29 09:43:00 | 8m 00s | Micro World | Nice, simple, fun little game, I suffered from the occasional spawn-death which is my only complaint. Really liked the music and the pixelly graphics. Wandered what the green walls were there for, having them as physical barriers would add to the difficulty if it were to become level-based in the future but overall a great, complete LD entry! |
| Apr 29 09:48:00 | 5m 00s | Tiny Resolution | Short but sweet platformer, everyones like double jumps! Music and graphics fot together nicely, solid LD entry imho. |
| Apr 29 10:42:00 | 54m 00s | A Tiny World Hero | Congratulations for creating a game within 48 hours. There are some odd bugs which have been mentioned above but you've got the basics of the game down. Just needs a bit more subsstance to it. |
| Apr 29 11:13:00 | 31m 00s | Battle of the Planets | Really fun game, the music and sfx really add to the game nice concept too, only I couldn't seem to get an ending apart from the world is gone, the galaxy is at peace which is cool but once I'd hit over 150 in weight, surely the world was massive enough? Nice addition of the death star ;) +1 humour for that alone |
| Apr 29 11:26:00 | 13m 00s | Ayond | Very nice looking 3d world you've got there, but I was confused with how to save parts of the world for the future and didn't understand what the "what a beautiful weather" people were all about. I ended up drowning myself so I didn't have to hear them say it again :) <br/> <br/>The colour effects were nice indicating which areas were active at the time and the art style overall was nice but how you achieved the goal seemed unclear to me. |
| Apr 29 11:32:00 | 6m 00s | The Green Planet | Cool little game, nice pixelly explosion effects and the asteroid gravity pull is a good feature. The controls were too jittery for my liking however which affected gameplay. Would more of an asteroids movement system work out better perhaps? or plain ol lock to mouse? <br/> <br/>Aside that niggle a nice concept and a solid game, well done! |
| Apr 29 11:51:00 | 19m 00s | Gulliver | Fantastic Game! Last boss is a bit unforgiving and , in the end I abused the infinite lives going on but, wow, the music nd effects all came together to make this a solid game in it's own right, let alone a 48 hour entry. |
| Apr 29 12:04:00 | 13m 00s | Defender | Coolies, some good bsics in here, nice idea with the weapon types although the variance between their effectiveness is dubious. Wouls like to see more enemy types in the game and possibly power ups to make it more complete. Glad to see a high score board on there :) Scarily similar to my entry also, haha! |
| Apr 29 12:10:00 | 6m 00s | Interplanetary Sumo | 1732pts <br/> <br/>Nice little game and good effort to include some audio in there as well. Liked the concept and whilst I seemed to repeatedly get crushed by Jupiter a solid LD game. |
| Apr 29 12:22:00 | 12m 00s | Killer the Ant | Congratulations on creating your first game, in 48 hours no less! Some funny bits in the game, I enjoyed destroying the bee with a tin tack particularly :) Looking forward to seeing something next LD :) |
| Apr 29 12:32:00 | 10m 00s | Squish | Cool little game, one annoying bug though was that if i was jumping up and collided with a mini it was still instant gameover. Nice music in the background but could do with some slowing down of the minis. possibly fraerate related. Nonetheless, a good entry into LD. |
| Apr 29 12:45:00 | 13m 00s | Little Sheep | Nice, restful game, glad I explored to find the extra bits. Music and sfx add to the general flow of the game. Nice ending also, yay! |
| Apr 29 12:55:00 | 10m 00s | Predominantly Tiny World | Cool graphics and explosion effects, although I did run around wandering why I couldn't seem to hit any flying ships for a while at the start. Nice effect for having both light and dark sides of the planet. <br/> <br/>Although can you actually dodge shots being fired at you from the landed saucers? I was happily bouncing around when I came across 5 or so of them landed taking resources shot one then that was it game over. :( <br/> <br/>Some sort of minimap would have been handy but hy, there's only 48 hours right? Overall a nicely polished game which just needs a couple of extra features to enhance it's playability. |
| Apr 29 13:09:00 | 14m 00s | Magic House | Solid entry with some nice albeit a bit floaty for my liking. Some nice puzzles at play here in later areas although some music and sound effects would have added greatly to the experience. |
| Apr 29 13:32:00 | 23m 00s | Path O' Invasion | Couldn't get the web version but the windows download ran a-okay. Nice mechanic, good way of indicating battle progress via the colour of the unit. Needs a bit of balancing, or I could just be a bit rusty since my days of playing RA2,etc. Had a chcuckle at the level complete screen, very nice! |
| Apr 29 13:40:00 | 8m 00s | Arnold Bros (est. 1905) | Fun platformer! It's got that lovely speccy vibe about it which I like. Good use of otomata and sfxr. The graphics are all very in-keeping. Would like to see further levels in the future :) |
| Apr 29 13:58:00 | 18m 00s | Three Trials | Difficult to rate this one, as soon as the background music came on I felt I had to mute it as it's not your own work and it will have an effect on how the game is played. <br/> <br/>I first tried running to the right and was greeted with error messages after falling off the world, then ran to the right and began the game proper. <br/> <br/>I really like the overall look of the game, some excellent 2d pixel art is being displayed here and the main character has some smooth animation which makes up for his petit-ness <br/> <br/>I got frustrated with the lack of jumping control available to me and that roll on after landing caused a fair few of the deaths which didn't help. I quit when it got to the one block jumps due to this. <br/> <br/>In summary the graphics are really well made but the game needs some fixes I feel in the difficulty curve / jumping mechanism to improve general playablilty. |
| Apr 29 14:20:00 | 22m 00s | Kumiho | Mmm, reminded me of Ikaruga a lot, which is a good thing, I loved Ikaruga! Nice level design, some groovy set pieces which force the player to use the warp mechanic, esp the final boss requiring a 2 step warp to be learnt by the player. Groovy pixel art and style in general. Don't see much reference at all to the tiny world theme. It would be nice to see the game extended post-jam definately! |
| Apr 29 14:46:00 | 26m 00s | Pixels World | Well balanced platformer. Starts off easy and gets progressively tougher throughout. No leaps of faith which is a relief. Fun game to play through and good addition of the camera zoom for the big pick-ups. |
| Apr 29 14:55:00 | 9m 00s | Swift | Nice ideas, movement was a lil slow but it was still playable enough. Didn't notice any sound effects but I guess that's the danger with HTML5 games, buggy support :( <br/> <br/>Overall a nice concept which could do with a few more levels in the future, nice entry! |
| Apr 29 22:07:00 | 7h 12m | Poor Pluto's Revenge | Cool game, nice absorb bullet mechanic, graphics are nice enough and all fit well with each other. The sound effects and bgm also complement the general feel of the game which is important. <br/> <br/>Hope you find a chance to add more complexity to it post-compo as I'd like to see some non-absorbable shots in the mix which would help up the difficulty somewhat. <br/> <br/>Made Pluto become a planet again, (at least in my mind anyway) huzzah! <br/> <br/>Final boss was the icing on the cake! |
| May 1 21:10:00 | 47h 03m | Pretentious Game | Really enojyed this game, it's great, yup! |
| May 12 20:03:00 | 262h 53m | TINY WORlDS | Fun game, nice to see a word based puzzler in here, had a good time playing! |
| May 12 20:40:00 | 37m 00s | Montezuma's Tomb | Cool one screen game, reminds me of spelunker very much, particularly with the simply huge nmbers of ways you can die. |
| May 12 20:46:00 | 6m 00s | Colossal Creature crushes Tiny Town | 27990, Well styled groovy game, liked the extra effects including the ground tilting depending on where you hit it, those extra touches add even more polish to this groovy game! |
