Apr 23 08:22:00 Microbe jump Worked for me - maybe you need java? <br/>Anyways, I found the controls to be a bit tricky to get to at first, but once I got the hang of it it was pretty fun. Some more feedback for the player (animations, sounds, etc) would be great. ^_^ Also, I found the feeling of the rain drops 'falling down' wasn't quite sold to me - could maybe fixed by having non-jumpable raindrops falling down faster...?? Also, I loved the camera work! Cheers!
Apr 23 08:53:00 31m 00s Underfoot Love squishing all the tiny people - would like some more sounds, like tiny screaming, the earth pounding as each footprint appears, giant belly laughs - maybe a 'fee fi fum' when you squash more than one person in a footprint? I could see a flocking + fleeing behaviour working well. I feel like I should get a splinter when I step on those houses ^_^ Also, +1 kudos to releasing source code for a jam game and for making a game that zips up to 0kb! 0kb people! Cheers!
Apr 23 09:03:00 10m 00s dLeIaFtEh Very interesting... I can't say that I really understood what was going on in the story, but what I experienced made me want to know more. Loved the graphics and the movement of the character felt very smooth. Overall, quite intriguing and I'd love to see more. Cheers!
Apr 23 10:04:00 1h 01m Freddies Liked the concept and the puzzles were good - though sometimes there seems to be some luck involved in successfully solving the level? It was pretty difficult to see which character was selected - maybe it could be made more obvious and the background changed to make the characters "pop" more? Or maybe we could select the freddies directly? Also, just my personal preference, but I think I'd like the pace of gameplay a little slower, so I could plan my moves better ^_^ Cheers!
Apr 23 10:57:00 53m 00s Subatomica Great concept, love the execution, too! I might like a pop-up telling me what each new element does - but maybe that would ruin the discovery? Great job, could really see this being further polished and commercially released! Cheers!
Apr 23 11:22:00 25m 00s Big Atoms Nice concept, love how it looks. The controls are a bit tricky and it could just be me, but they felt a bit unresponsive. I'd ideally like them to feel a bit more fluid and (because I love my shinies) I'd like some effects when I collect atoms and when I collide with them. It's impressive that you came up with this AND and editor in the short time. Cheers!
Apr 23 11:35:00 13m 00s Tiny Cavern Very sweet, reminds me of of Sissy's Magical Ponycorn Adventure. Loved the hand drawn graphics - maybe next time you can try drawing some pictures to go along with the intro and the endings? Cheers!
Apr 23 11:50:00 15m 00s In a Lonely Sea of Stars Very impressive first-time entry! I couldn't get very far into the game, but it seems that you've got a great base for modularly adding content into a very fun game - Cheers!
Apr 23 12:08:00 18m 00s Little Poui Definitely, more of a toy than a game - but I dig the aesthetic and there's something hypnotizing about those sneakers. I wouldn't mind being able to stomp on some different things, as well as the houses ^_^ Cheers!
Apr 23 13:13:00 1h 05m Endless Siege Very nice, I would definitely keep working on it and release it! I'd like to see more of a visual difference between the seasons and maybe a health/damage metre? Loved the feel of the controls and the animations - good luck!
Apr 24 03:03:00 13h 50m 9Lives Ooh.. definitely tiny! Very cute! I got stuck at the top of the tree trunk with the snails... not sure if that was a bug or if I just couldn't figure out what to do?
Apr 24 03:21:00 18m 00s Tiny World - Tiny Bits Very impressive for a first game! Loved how you could collect different body parts for different abilities. The 'sweet spot' for the platforming felt a little off - I found this page to be really helpful when designing platformers: http://mrbossdesign.blogspot.com.au/2008/10/platformer-primer.html .
Apr 24 05:04:00 1h 43m Greed Wars It's kind of like how Gamedev Story + Tower Defense + Space Colonies + Pie Charts would be! ^_^ It's quite fun to watch your little men conquering the planet, but I did find it a little too easy to get into an unwinnable state and maybe I missed a trick, but I didn't really understand how the resource gathering was happening. Overall, vey cute! Cheers!
Apr 24 05:07:00 3m 00s Doctor! The link seems to be to a file on your computer, rather than the internet...?
Apr 24 05:33:00 26m 00s Tiny little World Looks lovely, great use of the Unity engine. I couldn't get the characters to really interact with anything, just to move from location to location. I also got a game over screen for some reason...? Would have been nice to have a replay button on the game over screen and an ingame place telling me the controls. Otherwise, seems very intriguing and I hope you all keep developing it. Cheere!
Apr 24 08:45:00 3h 12m World of desTiny Doesn't want to work for me - just shows the title screen.
Apr 24 08:47:00 2m 00s Homedefender Didn't even get any error messages - just won't load.
Apr 24 09:00:00 13m 00s In a Jam Very cute! However, delivering the boxes to the green guy doesn't seem to do anything...? Otherwise, nice concept, could see this working well on a mobile device. Cheers!
Apr 24 09:14:00 14m 00s Prince of Leaves Very cute - and love having the tutorial in the music! As much as I love foreground and background styles, they do clash a bit ^_^ Definitely has an 'Adventure Time' vibe to it. Cheers!
Apr 24 09:26:00 12m 00s Spaceways Won't open on 32 XP here :(
Apr 24 09:50:00 24m 00s Tiny Oblique World Love the concept, but unfortunately I couldn't actually execute any commands, it just kept printing Hello World over and over again - also started to experience massive slowdown after having open for a couple minutes - it was apparently using up %50 of my CPU :( Too bad, as the game was fun just watching what would happen ^_^ . Maybe you could add some way for the player to know what everything on the screen is?
Apr 24 10:15:00 25m 00s pbd Might want to warn people about the 80mb+ download. <br/> <br/>Like the concept, but sometimes it was hard to tell if anything was happening, as the screen was often blank. The sound, while good for setting the mood, was also a little off-putting. Cheers!
Apr 25 00:37:00 14h 22m Memento XII Love the concept and it was truly a tiny word. Didn't get to the end though, as the extreme pixel hunting was a little much for me - also the vocab was a little pendantic: you don't really need an 'open/close' if you have a 'use' Such a shame, as what I saw was very intriguing and had great atmosphere. Cheers!
Apr 25 01:45:00 1h 08m I want to turn the heater on Very surreal and I like the interpretation of the theme. I appreciate that it was made in Processing, too. ^_^ Cheers!
Apr 25 02:05:00 20m 00s love in the time of fishbowls Conceptually, comes across as funny at first, then you end up feeling sad for those poor fishies. I do wish that fish dragging was a little faster and that there might be a visual way for people to see 'pairs' - like maybe a speech bubble when they call? Otherwise, strangely compelling - cheers!
Apr 25 02:41:00 36m 00s Head Trauma Visually, very lovely. Had some trouble trying to trigger the pink buttons - maybe the colliders need to be bigger? Effects were nice, too.
Apr 25 02:52:00 11m 00s Minor Deities Admittedly, I am a sucker for choice text-based games, but it would be nice if there was more internal 'logic' to the consequences of your choices. Also, the text was very blurry on fullscreen on my computer. I do really like the concept though - as someone mentioned, it reminded me very much of Sandbox of God.
Apr 25 03:01:00 9m 00s Mothly's World Hmmm... just doesn't want to open for me. I'm on XP 32, if that makes a difference.
Apr 25 03:20:00 19m 00s TinyColony Wow! Love the whole sim-rpg concept. Could have kept playing this game for quite a long time ^_^ . Nice controls - wouldn't mind seeing this one expanded on. - Cheers!
Apr 25 03:39:00 19m 00s In The Beginning Definitely more of a toy than a game, but it looks to be a great basis for an interesting game. There's something very soothing about 'growing' items on the planet and it has a clean, fresh look to it. ^_^
Apr 25 03:51:00 12m 00s Tiny Worlds Lovely idea, great visually. Difficulty was a bit harsh, but it was still a lot of fun. Nice use of Unity, too!
Apr 25 07:39:00 3h 48m ACTION SCIENCE DOG Love roguelikes and the movement base was fun. I felt a little lost though, as I couldn't figure out a way to move to the next 'dungeon' floor or open my inventory (I'm one of those players that need instructions for everything ^_^). I do hope that you'll keep working on it as it has so much super potential! Cheers!
Apr 25 07:55:00 16m 00s Pow! Pow! Pow! Lovely graphics, nice mechanic with the shrinking and flinging. The platforming did feel a little off - I really like what Scott Rogers has to say about making great feeling platformers: http://mrbossdesign.blogspot.com.au/2008/10/platformer-primer.html . Cheers!
Apr 25 08:37:00 42m 00s There is a Picture Keep having problems trying to download it :(
Apr 25 08:57:00 20m 00s Extensionism Love the mechanic, a really interesting take on the theme. I do wish that the 'walkable' vs 'unwalkable' tiles were a little more clearly different and though you have a reset level button, I wish that the crates couldn't get into an 'unwinnnable' position. Still, I found it quite refreshing and I always love to see games made in Processing ^_^ Cheers!
Apr 25 10:49:00 1h 52m ANtopia Beautiful ^_^. I wish I was given an objective, as I was just wandering around, exploring for the heck of it - also I wish there was a way to regain health. Nice atmosphere.
Apr 25 11:18:00 29m 00s The Small World of Professor Strange Love the graphics and a sweet, whimisical story. My problem with this is common to many text adventures ie I feel that I'm trying to be a mind-reader to find the correct commands to do what I want to do. It might help to have a full list of the commands next to the game in the browser window or maybe change it to hyperlink choice based? Cheers!
Apr 26 08:15:00 20h 57m AquaWars Great! Reminds me of Insanquarium... I wasn't really sure what the 'tools' did ie what feeding my fish did, but otherwise lovely graphics loved commanding my tiny minnow army. Cheers!
Apr 26 12:51:00 4h 36m Tiny's World Love this - and the song.....THE SONG, OMG, THE SONG! It's so sweet and cuddly and I will pet him and play with him and name him George.
May 8 08:19:00 283h 28m The Tiny World of the butterfly My kind of game: beautiful, simple and refreshing - I hope you continue to work on it!
May 8 08:40:00 21m 00s The world of Marceline Yikes, that was pretty brutal. Interesting way of examining the Holocaust.
May 8 08:45:00 5m 00s The Last Colony Strangely compelling... couldn't figure out how I was gathering resources, but maybe that was just silly me!
May 9 11:38:00 26h 53m tiny hostile world This is the beginning of a promising game - I can see lots of things being added to it. Definitely has a bit of a "tilt to live" vibe about it.
May 9 11:45:00 7m 00s For (g>v) Good job! If you don't mind transferring your java learning to javascript, you should check out Unity for the next jam: it's free and can export to the web.
May 9 12:38:00 53m 00s Fracuum Great concept - made me feel a little dizzy, lol. Would have been great for the recursion theme, too! ^_^
May 9 13:25:00 47m 00s T in Y World Love this! Fun concept, great puzzles! Well done.
May 9 14:25:00 1h 00m Orbiter Really like this. For a TD game, it's oddly soothing and hypnotic. I'd love something to show me the progression of time through the day ie. how much time left before next day.
May 10 03:49:00 13h 24m Bottlecolonies Lovely, really charming game. Love the aesthetics and the gameplay is great.
May 10 03:56:00 7m 00s Poor Pluto Poor Pluto! ^_^
May 10 04:10:00 14m 00s Tiny Garden of Hope Wow. Just lovely. Concept's great, mood is nicely done. I found it a little difficult to generate enough energy to keep going. I *am* a sucker for growing games, though.
May 10 04:33:00 23m 00s Lost In Her Eye Well, that was both beautiful and disturbing.
May 10 05:28:00 55m 00s Cleansing of the tiny worlds Couldn't get the bullets to fire back at the birdies, but otherwise loved this. Impressive entry.
May 10 05:41:00 13m 00s Grow! Found the 'inversing' of the wasd and mouse controls very interesting.
May 10 06:01:00 20m 00s Montezuma's Tomb Source doesn't download.
May 10 06:57:00 56m 00s TINY WORlDS That...was...awesome! Of course, I love word games, but still!
May 10 09:43:00 2h 46m Invasion of the Planet Snatchers! What I saw was nice - but I couldn't seem to do anything besides walk around, jump and swing my sword...?
May 10 10:05:00 22m 00s Planetoids There doesn't appear to be a download?
May 10 10:11:00 6m 00s Burger Defender Super cute! Found the controls pretty difficult and would have loved to see the burger actually shrink as it got smaller. Nice music - was it "The Goonies" inspired?
May 10 10:31:00 20m 00s The Great Adventure of Mr.Galaxis Definitely an underrated gem of #LD23. Hope you'll keep working on this!
May 11 05:59:00 19h 28m The Lost Isles Can't download, unfortunately :(
May 11 11:39:00 5h 40m Game With a Fantastic Title Unfortunately, the audio didn't work for me (I'm on XP32), which is a shame as it sounds like I missed out! But, I loved what I experienced anyways - I can really see this growing to full-fledged game release!
May 11 23:15:00 11h 36m Tinytanic Sick AND Cute at the same time. ^_^
May 11 23:26:00 11m 00s Around the World in 80 Seconds (or less) Love to see this taken further!
May 12 00:11:00 45m 00s Planet Gravity Crashed on load, I'm using XP32.
May 12 09:57:00 9h 46m On Another Scale What a beautiful little world you have created. It was like moving through a dream.
May 12 18:04:00 8h 07m Curse Of Grimwood The "Source" folder is empty.
May 12 18:11:00 7m 00s Space Cabin Crashed on open - complained that a .dll was missing - I'm using XP32, if that makes a difference.
