Strong AI 2:40 for my run through. Too many portal references for my taste, it would have been fun to hear you try another direction with that voice, but regardless it added to the gameplay.
Pixelman 3 Nice wee game, I think the difficulty balance was just right. Level 4 was really hard (lots of fiddly little jumps) but overall was pretty good fun.
Block Picker 1.0 – final, timelapse Also missing MSVCP71.DLL, but I suspect many other entries will need it, so I went and downloaded it. <br/> <br/>The different block patterns were cool, but the game got very boring very quickly. Guess that shows it's minimalistic.
Sailor That was great! The particles for the water were very cool, loved how they changed colour when moving to give a washy sort of feel. The gameplay was hard the first time, but making a large empty box meant I lasted until around 900. It then hailed cannonballs, which was mean, but did provide a sense of closure. Well done for making an original idea.
Tiny Hawk final release As other people mentioned, a change direction or speed up button would have been really useful. Took me ages to do the last level because I kept missing rails and then having to go all the way back up. Overall a well polished and fun game, well done.
GBGames presents Minimalist – the That was pretty cool. The sounds made the game, along with the flashing. As sol_HSA said, as soon as I realized the flashing didn't mean anything, it became easy.
Simple maze Was certainly minimal, also rather annoying as others have pointed out.
The Pushers Pretty cool. Conversely, the 'easy' track took more presses for me than the 'twisty' one. Playing with a friend would have been cool, but I notice the sensitivity changes between game modes. Is this on purpose? Also a real-time 2 player mode would have been interesting to see.
Final Submission I had the same problem as sol_hsa (again), but once working it was a great game. Well polished and easy to pick up. <br/> <br/>My two gripes are that the easy level was boring, once I switched to medium things became a lot more fun. Also, it was quite difficult to figure out which way you were pointing, when you were moving around a lot. <br/> <br/>Overall though, the graphics &amp; gameplay were minimal (in a theme-based good way), consistent, and worked well. Sound and/or music would have helped.
MinMo LD11 Really great idea, and the implementation isn't too bad. The music/background generated by the platforms is a fun idea, but the movement of them seemed a little too random. I spent a long time just waiting around, which wasn't all that fun. A jump button for when I've got 2mm to move up would be really helpful there. Lovely minimalist graphics, and the transform between min &amp; mo looked nice.
Yeah, ThingGo is a go go! I thought for the bonus points I had to get the diamonds together and then kill all the enemies, so things became easier when I found I could finish levels just my creating a 'match-3'. <br/> <br/>Blatant clone, as others said, but at least it's finished and runs well. The audio was rather jarring.
Title Unknown I'm not even going to bother downloading this, but I do like the journal entry! (even though I don't agree with it). Plus for originality, but Minus because I don't agree that it's actually a game. <br/> <br/>Your other game idea (Resident Evil 0), though not the final one, was also interesting in pushing the bounds of what counts as a game. Pretty much the same comment as above applies to that.
Battle Magic Done! Well I enjoyed it for a couple of games. I wasn't quite sure what everything did or how it affected the battle, so I'm fairly sure I won by luck. Nice idea, but even simple graphics would probably have helped quite a bit.
Game Nice idea, but it lagged a little. The trails on the effects (purple, while blocks) were really good, but when applied to the cursor and incoming blocks, things just got too difficult to distinguish.
Cowbell Hero "You may notice that every song in your music library sounds better with cowbell. <br/>This is scientifically proven." <br/> <br/>Brilliant Idea! The whole premise had me giggling, very good humour in the game. Unfortunately it didn't work particularly well, the music drifted out of sync regardless of how accurately I tried to sync it with shift. The little note things appeared to have a pattern depending on the state of the music, so something must be going on under the hood there, it's just not quite right yet. <br/> <br/>Overall, great premise, I'm expecting a fully functional version!
Leap , at least it’s something… Became impossible in some situations, so was mostly just luck how long I lasted. Good idea though, and graphics were interesting.
Omnihunter Thanks for the setup script, probably would have skipped this entry otherwise. There seemed to be a few bugs in the rotation code - when I moved the mouse round one way, my guy occasionally moved the other, killing me. It would have been nice to rotate faster too, but the idea has promise. It was nice not having to worry about running around as well as defense. Some big white thing came down and landed on me too, I'm not quite sure what that was.
Circle conquest This was a pretty cool, minimalist take on an RTS. My biggest grip was that, even if I clicked the "attack with king" at the very beginning of the game, I could still finish off the opponent with my soldiers before the king got halfway across the board.
Dot2doT There wasn't really much to it, I guess it fits with the minimalistic theme. I couldn't help but feel there'd be a better way to implement the same mechanic. Scrolling the screen over a fixed field of dots wasn't particularly intuitive to me.
Marginal Ungolf Spectacle Short, but fairly sweet, and the music added to it. The foreground thing was odd, but made things look quite a bit better than they probably would have. A longer level would have been good, but overall it's a fair entry.
minimalist rts Well it's very minimalist, I created an apartment and watched the workers fly round like some lost flock of birds, then quit. <br/> <br/>Neat idea you had planned, although as others have said, I can't quite see how it fits the theme.
