@htmichael Thank you so much! Means alot to us that you like it. :)
@wujood Thanks for the feedback man! We're happy you like our game! :)
@htmichael We did art and programming both, i mainly focused on UI and Graphics, while @lausemand mainly focused on the code. But we did both actually :)
@htmichael Haha! It's not our first Ludum Dare tho, we also participated in the previous one. And we're both not new to programming and unity either. We also have experience with Lua and Python. Your game is actually pretty good aswell! :) Thank you for all the nice feedback, and keep creating dude
@htmichael No problem, and thank you!
@historymaker118 Thank you so much man! Maybe we'll continue to work on the game i honestly don't know. But I'm happy you like it!
Hmm, might have something to do with the collision code, we'll try to look into that. But I am however not sure we'll be able to fix it and update the game before LD42 ends. But i am glad you like it! Thank you!
Wow, your game is actually quite fun! And the music is honestly great! You did a really good job considering it's your first game! Keep up the good work! :)
Very fun game, really liked the use of the theme. Maybe the game should be a little slower at the start, because it takes a while to get used to the controls. But nice game! :)
Hey, nice game!
Really liked the game! The graphics is simple, but yet great. The sprites you used for the game (Especially the Earth one) is also great. Overall I think you did a great job, but I feel like the game doens't really get harder over time, maybe you should have made it so the time decreases until like 1 second so you have to be quick. Earth's rotation is also a very nice mechanic, and I really liked that you have to like predict where the comet will hit. However, I found it very easy just to cover the whole planet, and just when ever one of the satellites get destroyed, you just make a new one. Maybe you should have made some audio for the game too, as I feel it would really make the game a bit better (Maybe some explosion sounds, or some music!)
But overall, a very nice game
Nice game!
Overall I liked the look and the feel of the game, but I feel like you maybe should have polished the game a little more, the game feels the same even when you descend deeper down. I also think you maybe should have polished the UI (User interface) a little more, since I find it kinda lacking. Also you should display how much health, or how much damage or how much speed you've got, so you can actually see what what you are sacrificing. I also sometimes had a hard time figuring out how to actually kill the bosses (or whatever the stuff you have to fight before descending deeper) but maybe that's just me. Overall I actually think it's a good game, and great job with the music!
Nice game
However, it doesn't really feel like a game. Just like some animation or something. I really like the graphics and audio, however I didn't really understand the plot of the game (Why did the dog have to die? ) I wish it was longer to be honest. Nice graphics and audio though! I just feel like the game could need some more 'game' to it if you understand
Really nice game!
Wow! This was a really amazing game, really got me into christmas spirit! The audio, the graphics, the simple yet amazing game mechanics. I'm truly amazed. Might be one of the best LD games I've ever played!
Just wow. :christmas_tree: :snowman: :snowman2: :snowflake:
Hi Brackeys, I don't know if it's intentional, but the Itch links are not working. Would love to play your game tho.
Nice game! Really like the graphics and the simplicity of the game. Could use a restart button when you die. Also, I found it a bit hard to notice when you took damage from the enemies, maybe a healthbar or something like that would be nice! Fun, and awesome game!
Thank you! We're glad you liked it
Really fun and satisfying game! Really liked the combat aswell. The weapons feel overall pretty satisfying to use, except the sword. Maybe it could use some animations, and screenshake. Overall I really like this game! Great job
Really fun game! I really like the graphics, some sound effects would be really cool! Overall a solid game
Hi guys! We are working on a WebGL version. We are aware that many users prefer to play in the browser. If you are interested in playing our game, but don't want to download it (https://aveuse.itch.io/ex-nihilo). Please wait a couple of days, and we should have the WebGL version up and running. Cheers.
@team-on Thanks so much for your feedback, we are aware that there's a few bugs. We didn't really have alot of time left before submission.
Also I know that you have to play other games to get ratings, but unfortunately we have been busy with studies and so on.
And if you are interested in procedural generation, it's kind of easy actually. First off, we created alot of different models, different island bases, different rocks and so on. First off, our script just picks a random integer, (1-3) and uses that to define the island base, then it rotates it randomly. Each island base then have alot of spawn points, which in our case is just empty gameobjects with a tag. The script then loops through every gameobject, and there's a chance it spawns an random object. It then scales it and rotate it randomly. We also have different tags for different types of objects we wish to spawn.
Procedural generation is actually kind of easy if you just do it as simple as possible. If you want to try it out for yourself I recommend this tutorial : https://youtu.be/O9J_Cfl6HzE
