I'm a sucker for anything turn-based! Love the systems you set up and how they interlock, found it very intuitive. Sadly, my inevitable end came more from the game just slowly grinding to an unplayable speed than from the tusk monsters. (Brave on Win10, v1.37.109)
Amazing amount of depth/complexity from a simple concept and control scheme, plus bonus points for inducing some newgrounds nostalgia for me. Two thumbs up!
Fun concept! Enjoyed the amount of depth layered into the skills. Would be interesting to see how much further you can take this with more time!
Love the graphics and the theming! Playing M+K, I can definitely see how gamepad might be preferable. The physics consistency was very good with slides/spins of your catronaut too. If I had to highlight a gripe: The jump power indicator sometimes was a bit too subdued to easily see so it took a bit to get the hang of.
@angiemon Tutorial was fine! It was more the jump power/direction indicator line just kind of felt a little understated/undersized, if that makes sense?
I actually played some more since my original comment only with a gamepad plugged in, and found it way easier to control (and the jump/thrust mechanic way more intuitive) with the gamepad instead of M+K.
While my abilities were not sufficient to make it to the promised 3rd level, I enjoyed what you did with the first two levels in terms of combining simple controls and making the theme of the game accessible. The proximity mechanic on the first level was very neat in action. Great work!
Quite the impressive effort! Wish there was a little more feedback when trying to place the harbor, had a lot of trouble figuring out how to legally place it. Enjoyed everything else though!
Impressive physics work here, really enjoyed it!
Impressive and fun to play, props to your team!
Had trouble getting HTML5 to play on Brave (1.37.109) but worked fine on Edge. Enjoyed your take on the theme, definitely one of the more unique ones I've seen. Would love to see you further develop this concept into something with couch co-op in the future!
Credit to you for putting selectable difficulty options in! Would really love to see how you progress from this with your post-ratings period polish release if you do one.
Neat concept, love the choice of camera angle! Controls a little laggy for me (Brave 1.37.109) but otherwise quite smooth.
