Sorry to hear you had to essentially lose a day. I really like the look of this game; the minimalist design and flat shading compounded with the ambient noises really make you feel like you're in another world. Also, the sound seek mechanic is cool.
One thing I would suggest: I tried using headphones to help search for the trinkets, but I found that the levels for the water sounds and the radio sounds could have used some tuning (pun); either lowering the splash sound volume or lowering the roll-off factor may have helped, though you want to be careful with the latter as it would cause all the radio frequencies to meld together which could be interesting but would definitely sound terrible at the start.
I think you had the same problem making your game that I did; trying to jam out a story can take a lot of time, which is something we don't have for LDs. The game looks great though; looking forward to seeing future use of this style and engine.
Good work for 7 hours; I would like to see what you could have done in 48 though. Something to note; basing the ability to complete a level entirely on luck can make the game frustrating to play for some.
I can't even get the game loaded up; same problem as psnake. Don't have a linux box sitting around, so I'll have to wait for the Windows version to be fixed before judging.
A lot like a cross between Scorched Earth and golf! The clouds are really nice.
The sliding was really distracting mechanically and visually. Having the power bar increase and decrease rather than just stay at max would have been nice. Other than that, a solid mechanic and some good design!
I like the idea, but found that the winner won entirely by chance rather than skill, since the spot where the basket stops and the coconut that spawns above that location are both seemingly random. Still though, it was fun knocking friends' coconuts out of the trees when the basket wasn't there trying to get as many red coconuts to spawn as possible.
Man I could have used all these sailing tips for my game.
I think that this mechanic alone could have made for an interesting exploration game, if only there were things to discover. Volcano island! Dinosaur island! Iceland island!
Great job modelling, animating and coding the game in C++. A little overambitious for 2 days like you mentioned but the base idea is great. A little more fleshing out and you really may have something here.
The sprites for this game are adorable, but for a game about exploration there wasn't much variance the longer you played. Maybe new islands have different colors and plants?
Side note, the link at the top doesn't work. I needed to go to http://bentosmile.com/games/stuckold/Stuck.exe to get it, but you probably knew that already.

Deep Under an Island by Sparky
Has a lot of potential as an online Flash puzzle game, but nothing to do with islands. A winner in my books, but not a winner for this LD.
Hockey Island by crackerblocks
Man you must really hate Newfoundland. (P.S. Nice trail effect)

Broken link here. Not even the root website (omploader.org) works.

I'm a extremely jealous of how good your game looks.

You didn't pull any stops in the shaders department! The water and bloom look great, but I don't think my laptop can handle it...
