LD55 — Summoning

wiz by torcado 2024-04-15T03:26:58Z

Wow! This game is incredibly polished, the innovative attack mechanic is simple but genius, and the sound effects are lovely. Great job.

Ring It On by Conrad Etherton 2024-04-15T03:34:01Z

The audio design is great (which is perfect for a game like this). The dual-use of the main interaction as both an attack and the thing that summons enemies is great! I especially like how it means that you can sort of manipulate the difficulty.

Sumo-Moaning by The_BM 2024-04-15T20:41:38Z

Nice high-score game! This is a very humorous interpretation of the theme.

Underlings by Lexxio 2024-04-16T16:17:41Z

Very challenging! Switching out with your underlings is a fun and novel mechanic. I'd probably prefer a lower difficulty curve, and I did notice that reading the "how to play" doesn't pause the game. Good job!

Penta-mania by SirLich 2024-04-16T16:09:37Z

The turn-based nature of this game is a nice mechanic! I played this game for a long time and then forgot to rate it! 😳 It was a bit hard for me to tell what abilities were available at first until I took a good look and noticed the buttons were greyed out.

Spirit Edge by BadPiggy 2024-04-15T20:49:02Z

The difficulty is INSANE (how I like it)! The music is great, the juicy gameplay is fun and satisfying, and the main mechanic introduces some interesting risks. Good job!

Souls 'R Us by Aarimous 2024-04-15T03:23:50Z

Awesome job! The little voices are super humorous. The idle gameplay, going from just a handful to an entire horde, is also super satisfying.

Rock Paper Summon Frog Plutonium by edgeboyo 2024-04-16T01:00:04Z

This is a greatly humorous take on rock paper scissors! Nice work.

Ecaroh's Mecharoh by goodwincek 2024-04-16T16:13:37Z

The difficulty is a bit hard for me, but I also used up all of my electrons at the start and could barely recharge  . The audio and graphics on this game are great! Nice job.

Crystalline by TripleCubes 2024-04-16T15:57:33Z

The music is amazing! The levels are nice and challenging and the variety of summons is really cool!

Summoner's Pit by tomi-vahamaki 2024-04-15T23:33:47Z

Very good job! It's a tad difficult but the gameplay is great (You've done a good deal in just the time limit)!

PIED PIPER by arColm 2024-04-15T20:16:18Z

Very nice submission! The theme was interpreted in a great and fun way and the puzzles are nicely challenging.

Summoner by WildCodePlay 2024-04-15T20:55:29Z

Nice and fun! Staying in the middle but having to move to attack enemies is a nice way of introducing risk.

Conjurer's Quest by Dywanix 2024-04-16T00:09:42Z

This is a very fun game with an interesting main mechanic! I saw another game took a similar route and I love the concept. The music is also a nice bonus.

Super Pal Summoner! by Meepster 2024-04-15T20:37:12Z

This is a nice, fun easy to understand game with a great difficulty curve. Good job!

Forge Lord by Hazard Game Dev 2024-04-16T18:53:27Z

Very fun game! It gets difficult quickly, but forcing the player to move to get ingredients to summon enemies is a great choice! I had a similar idea of bringing back enemy drops to summon assistance but with a much different execution. Good job!

rotator by Gallant_Dev 2024-04-15T20:20:12Z

Fun interpretation on rock-paper scissors! I could use a bit more explanation because I didn't get it at first

Duck Spawner by Myse 2024-04-15T20:25:33Z

TOO CUTE! The adorable music is lovely and the little duck hordes are cute and nice to play around with.Screenshot 2024-04-15 152500.png

Blood of the Altar by Hot Noggin Studios 2024-04-16T16:06:13Z

@sirlich There is a healthbar, though, it's shown by the level of destruction on the altar, but I can see how you'd miss that. I've got a little idea for how to give the player more control of the altar for the post-jam version.

Blood of the Altar by Hot Noggin Studios 2024-04-18T15:22:45Z

@sudocoffee Yep, kicking itself is sort of a risk-reward attack, and sliding backwards is something I do a lot too! The timing is generous, but I think it works out nicely.

Blood of the Altar by Hot Noggin Studios 2024-04-18T15:23:12Z

@cananaman The itch.io page is a part of the game to me, even if it's not rated! :D

Courier for Conjure by dotiocat 2024-04-16T18:14:46Z

Nice entry! The wall sliding and jumping mechanic is smooth and snappy, and I like that you reveal new areas over time.
