Accidentally summoned an Old One. Hate it when that happens.. Nice Game!
At first I was a bit skeptical when it comes to the artstyle, but when the spaceship started it turned out to be really fun. Hell, the game even had some audio progression and an increase in difficulty. You clearly feel the Everspace vibes, but that's nothing bad. Great Job - would play again!
At first I couldn't figure out how to chop down the trees, until I read your description of the game. You could say the controls for this action are rather unintuitive. Apart from that, it's a great game and I enjoyed it! Good Job!
I hear Bee Gees, I vote up. But honestly, it's a nice little game you developed. Good Job!
The game has a nice artstyle! Does it have a winning condition? I chopped down all the mushrooms and gathered a lot of logs to keep the fire burning, but in the end nothing happened. Also the Warrior Shroomies seem to be a destroyed in a second, so fighting was not an option for me. Anyways - good Job!
@damagefilter Thank you for your kind words! The the fire bar has a little buffer for convenience reasons, but we might adjust it after we find the time to do some more balancing. :v: And yes, the scene from Majora's Mask was a huge influence. Still one of the best Zelda games imho. :)
@flaviat Nice! I'll take a look at your game tonight! :)
Edit: So I just tried out your game and I loved the idea of having roguelite elements in it. The skilltree adds a sense of replayability to it which makes it even better. Apart from that you're totally right, Our ideas we're pretty similar. Good Job on that game and keep the fire burnin'! ;)
@Brenan Thank you kindly! We already shortened the night from 15 to 10 minutes, but some of us really wanted to give the game some challenge.
@Aphid98 You're totally right. We initially thought about adding a shader to indicate the player and fire position ingame, but there were more important things to do beforehand. Maybe we'll add it in the near future. Anyways - thanks for your feedback!
Edit: There is a compass HUD element in the game now, which points into the general direction of the campfire, so you don't get lost anymore.
@mika-la-grand Thank you for your feedback! There is an update on its way containing a compass (and a lot of other content), which makes the navigation alot easier. I'll publish a post as soon as the update goes live. When it comes to the enemies, you can defeat them by swinging your torch (PC: Left Mouse Button / Controller: X).
@zesix Thank you! It means so much! =)
@radow Thank you so much for your feedback! It means a lot to the team, especially since we don't have any UI-Art specialist with us. For us the UI is always something like a love-hate relationship.
As for the ghosts, they burst when they're close enough to the campfire and do moderate damage. We didn't want to set the value too high to keep the game playable. Do you think, the game was too easy?
@png Thank you for your kind words and good job on enduring the whole night!
@eugenik Thank you so much and good luck with you real life shadows! ! I'll go and check your game out, too.
Edit: So I just played your game - good job with the rainy mood and the overall atmosphere!
@daniel-whittaker Thank you for your feedback! There are currently no plans on adding a settings menu into the game, but if we do so, you'll find out via [Itch](https://sleeprunner.itch.io/st-hestia "St. Hestia") or [Twitter](https://twitter.com/ZzzSleeprunner "Sleeprunner Studios"). We'll discuss this matter next week.
