The screen was too small and too hard to see. ... Until I started playing... Noyce.
Woah I like the art! N I C E
Nice try anyway. This game entertained me for as long as I was alive in the game. (That is to say not long)
I do feel like it's an interesting concept but it needs some work. You should probably try to place the player where he/she is safe at the start of the game. There are a few times where I would just instantly die because of enemies being right near me.
:D
Hey, really really nice pixel art! I dig the style! Great job!
Hey this is pretty good! The art and graphics are N I C E. I really dig gameboy-esque visuals! The music and sound effects too are okay, they suit the game well. I like the main gameplay mechanic, and I do feel like there's more room to explore! Hopefully you're planning to expand further on this concept.
The game was pretty entertaining! Great job!
Well that was... something. Good job tho. :D :D I don't even know what to say. haha
@dwam I really appreciate the in-depth critique. C: As for the game engine, well let's just say my buddy's trying out something new and this seems like a perfect opportunity. As for the writing and quality of writing, yeah I'll have to admit that it has a lot of room for improvement. It's kinda a 'get better as you go along' kinda thing.
If you liked this game. I would've appreciated a follow on itch.io or gamejolt. :D I'm really looking forward to read about how you think about our future games.
Thanks for playing!
@catalyyst I'm glad you you liked it (I think you did? Maybe maybe not?) Haha Yeah the horse/carriage animation part, it was originally planned to be represented with a 2D screen (very much like The Oregon Trail) and sprites. So I do understand why it felt jarring from the rest of the experience.
I'll be checking out your game (and your profile >:D) later when I wake up (it's about 2am where I am now).
If you liked this game. I would really appreciate a follow on our itch.io.
We're planning to rework (revisit is a more suiting term) the game and making it a more complete experience.
Anyways, thanks for playing! :D
Woah It looks great! I kinda wished there was a tutorial to help players along.
That was fun! Great job! I really dig the pixel art. C:
Woah this game looks GREAT! That's made in 48 hours? Nice job! C:
This game looks pretty good! I like the artstyle. I have a suggestion. Add information windows that appear when you hover over things. Some text prompts would help a lot too! Great effort!
Interesting experience! Consider adding some polish to the game. Visual clarity to your controlled character. Indication of getting hit, and hitting others (you want that to feel SUPER good). Maybe something like Gradius's upgrade system and themed levels and you have something AMAZING on your hands.
@Sapazu interesting suggestion. *jots down the words 'sex when' on notepad

I'm ecstatic that there're actual humans who played our game. Thanks guys.
