A good classic adventure game. I liked the Zork reference and unexpected "methods" of failure.
@Kelly Thomas, try refreshing the page.
A solid game - good physics. The texture map on the rock seemed a little off though.
As soon as the game launched I knew it was going to be good. One of the best games I've rated so far - and I have to say - it's one of the few that I'm going to keep. The only criticism I have is that the learning curve is a little steep - but that's what makes it fun.
A good base for a game. My only real recommendation would be to not use an installer (yet this has already been addressed). For a first time entry, however, this is fairly decent and I've seen worse.
It was good to see a post-mortem as well.
Pretty good game - good mechanics. I didn't expect this kind of game for this theme. I think the graphics maybe needed a little work though.
I have one question, what did you use to make the sound effects - note that pre-made content technically belongs in the jam.
Ok, no problems regarding sound. A fairly decent game with solid mechanics.
@GingerMess - I refreshed the download page about 8 times, and not a single "adult" ad appeared. I think the ads are based upon search history. Just saying.
Thank you for the constructive criticism, if I was to improve the game I probably would have made it a little more balanced and I would've added more enemies, items, improved graphics, etc. (Maybe some form of projectile weapon as well).
If I was to spend more time developing this game now, I would address the issues for notebook players by adding a "switch" on the menu screen, and probably using the control scheme joekinley suggested.
To make the game more fun I would consider adding a powerup system, or an ingame point based leveling system.
Thanks for the constructive criticism, I will keep the points that you have given in mind in any future projects.
As a base engine - this isn't bad. Next time you will be more successful. Maybe next time practice in the pre-competition week.
Solid game, worked well with the theme. The music was atmospheric, yet got a bit annoying - a mute option wouldn't have been a bad addition. The usage of an installer was annoying, and probably unwise (a LOT of people dislike installing LD entries). I felt that I was a bit misguided - maybe ingame instructions would've been a good addition.
Other than that, a good game with a nice style.
A good game - fits with the theme very well. The only weird thing I noticed is that I could hear footsteps even when I wasn't moving, unless that was part of the music track.
Fairly good, except I found the game a little too easy.
If you had more time, I would recommend adding more levels.
Other than that - a pretty good game.
