Nicely done. This is the first game from what I rated so far that I liked somehow. Got 122
More items/weapons would have been nice. Like a bazooka to kill the quick bulls
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD22 → One Man Alone in the Darkness

THe game is not very innovative and is a very common approach to the theme, but it is complete, stable, and enjoyable.
Congrats =)
The graphics are nice, but I thought the game was somewhat easy.
Thank you for the constructive criticism, if I was to improve the game I probably would have made it a little more balanced and I would've added more enemies, items, improved graphics, etc. (Maybe some form of projectile weapon as well).
Pretty solid game. I wish the sword swing was more of a semi-circle than the tiny slice of pie it is now, as it is a bit annoying how close you need to be to the enemies to hit them. It gets repetitive but overall I had fun, and would play again if there was more variety to it.
I like that you made a timelapse.
Also I like the graphics of your game. Kudos to that.
Other than that, the game is really hard to play on a notebook. The control scheme with involving a mouse really is hard for every notebook user out there. And I bet there are some of them out there. Also the weird keyboard control was weird. I guess it is optimized to use with the mouse though, but I like it more when up is forwards, and down is backwards. Left and right could have been turning, so there would have been no use for mouse =)
Mood / Fun / Theme wise could be better.
Still nice game you made there.
i like the red-eyed enemy. scored 121--curse you pythong!!
I concur with joekinley: it is very hard to play this game in a laptop/notebook; the controls aren't very well thought for them. Thus I couldn't stand more than 5 minutes of play. Sorry.
If I was to spend more time developing this game now, I would address the issues for notebook players by adding a "switch" on the menu screen, and probably using the control scheme joekinley suggested.
To make the game more fun I would consider adding a powerup system, or an ingame point based leveling system.
Thanks for the constructive criticism, I will keep the points that you have given in mind in any future projects.
Good game. My score was 201. The graphics are great, though the ground being less pixellated than everything else is odd, yet it still looks nice.
The gameplay is fun, but it gets repetitive after a while. Like you said, powerups would help, and I think there should be more variety between monsters. They seemed to all be the same with different looks to me. Maybe some could shoot or something.
The controls weren't too problematic for me, but it would be nice to have an option to use WASD instead of the directional keys.
