LD30 — Connected Worlds

Dominions'n'dominoes by Benjamin 2014-08-26T09:17:00

This is really really really awesome! Complex and with a fine attention to art and design, this is just downright fun that, like Sestren, I'll be coming back to! Hell I am going to play this with my friends. You rock, don't stop making games like this <3<3<3

River bank maze by reecpj 2014-08-26T09:30:00

This game is very fun to play with two players, which I love! The art and music and atmosphere are adorable, and the gameplay is well-designed. A fun little toy to have on hand with a sweetheart or younger sibling ;)

Couldn't find an opponent despite it being on first page ;'[

Window Of WorkCraft by voidstar69 2014-12-15T07:27:00

Not much to it: just throw yourself at enemies. Yet there's a bit of fun there :)

OBSIDIAN by gene-z 2014-12-10T21:38:00

Nice art, very difficult, but pretty fun. I didn't hear any music so that would have been good to have. I think that if you had made the lava start lower, give more water bubbles, and/or tweaked the rocket so that it was easier to control, it would have been more fun.

Good job!

Entity Unchained by ViliX64 2014-12-15T06:50:00

Very fun text-based game reminiscent of Binding of Isaac and the like :) It crashed on me once but other than that I'd say flawless execution. Could have used maybe one more enemy type. Liked to see bosses for each level but I thought the final boss could have been a touch harder. Also I don't think powerups held from level to level? That would have been good to have that feeling of progression. I did like that there was a powerup system at all though.

Ending was a clever way to resolve the theme. Good job!

Allspark Ruumba by Nardom 2014-12-11T00:28:00

Pretty fun, made me want to do better >:O
But reallly difficult! I think if there were more friction on the player or less density on the bigger blocks it would be much easier and more fun.
Good job, I really want to try WebGL now!

Breach 'N' Clear by Crawler Studios 2014-12-10T21:54:00

Nice explanation of the theme :)

The controls were difficult: not very smooth, and if I jumped before running toward a platform I had no air control. I feel like this was probably your first time making a platformer? It's actually pretty difficult right? Also there were some collision issues, and I was confused about what indicated my health. Lastly, the music has potential, please keep learning about music :)

Good job on finishing LD31!

Zap the Boxes by Insederec 2014-12-15T07:03:00

Sorry I couldn't run it because of security >< I tried configuring Java as well. Congrats on doing LD though :)

Trivial Travails by AAGH Games 2014-12-15T07:22:00

(Weird, I could have sworn I'd already rated...)

Anyway, pretty good job :)

I think the music could have used more work, and like some others are saying the questions did get repetitive. I also didn't know how to win. I did like that the questions were a bit challenging but not impossible. And I liked that they were sciencey :)

Screen Takeover by MikeTheWayne 2014-12-10T23:36:00

Great take on the theme and good idea! It was really slow at the beginning so I couldn't get up to the higher-level stuff. Then I wasn't sure why I died when I ran the anti-virus scrambler?

Still it was fun to watch my data points go up and the CPU usage too. Good job!

Dauntless by Luthwyhn 2014-12-11T00:01:00

I do like these text-based games. However, I unfortunately wasn't able to figure out how to attack enemies :[

I tried just running into them over and over but I died.

Good job anyway tho ;D

Mind Traveller by Ogniok 2014-12-10T23:19:00

5/5 would get stuck in the room that says *spoiler spoiler* again. They really mean it.

Graphics and audio are excellent. Really dramatic, I like it!

The only thing I question is whether it fits the given theme.

Great job! Makes me want to try Unreal.

Crazy Air Raid by becker929 2014-12-08T03:53:00

Thanks for the feedback, Gamepopper :) Is there no music? I think all of my sounds are quiet but there should be some music. I definitely need to practice my pixel art more and I should have more time for art next LD, since this is the first time I've used Unity on my own.

Thanks to the gf for "pew pew" ;)

@Mopz oh no! No adblock?

Resonant Flux by Rob Glen 2014-12-11T00:13:00

Floaty, glowy, and fun -- I like it!
The music was well done too.

More enemy types and some feedback when you make a hit (explosionyness) would have made it more fun.

Good job!

MoonStar by Caliber_Project 2014-12-15T07:18:00

I played until all the enemies were killed. It took me three tries! I kept dying mostly because the meteors exploded everywhere and toward the end there were a lot of them.

I think you did a pretty good job on this. The music could have used more work. Also the jumping mechanism didn't make much sense (although it did allow me to jump high which I like), and I didn't like that I would randomly being aiming upward.

I liked the enemy design, particularly of the blobs. They had cute faces. I also for some reason always like baddie spawners.

Good job overall!

Together In Thousands by Os_Reboot 2014-12-15T07:08:00

Everything seems to work without a flaw: good job on that! I don't know how to win, though. I like that there is a little die and that the questions are challenging but not impossible. The music could have used more work as it was basically just random high pitched notes over drums. Try to learn a bit more about music! :) Overall it reminded me of some kind of little LED handheld game you might buy at target or something, especially because of the sounds.

The escape is a lie? by Strandypants 2014-12-10T22:49:00

This platformer has quite a bit of polish on it, particularly in the art and music. The wall jumping works really well too.

Dying was a bit problematic because there was no instant way of knowing that you'd died sonically or visually, and you were able to move around for a bit before the screen was reset. I also didn't think I should have died touching the side of the mallet/presser thing on the upper level. If you'd had time to do some kind of end-of-game animation that would have been nice, but I understand because I didn't have a game over screen either, haha.

Overall great job! I really liked the music.
