Nice job! Loved the art style and the sound effects (although it was strange why the noise is only in my right ear?). I totally would play such a game, if it would be a bit more story driven - like you need to make contacts as you progress, etc. etc. (of course much out of a scope for a jam game)

> bit more story driven

Yea! That's such a good idea! I'd love each level to feel like a story beat!

So, my personal nitpick with that game is that when I press the target and the popup window opens, I personally expect if I click outside of it, the popup window would close, like you'd expect in many places, like, popups on sites, but I have to find a very small [x]. I'm playing on the ultrawide big screen, and I have to pixelperfectly click a very small button to close this window, and it, let's say, kills the flow a bit, especially when you are not really given any information on what you need to do to play it. So, you are trying to figure it all out, but you can't, because you are punished by having to close the window each and every time you try to understand what is happening while trying to find the connection between the goal and what you see.

Other than that, I like the vibe. I wish I could open it in full screen, but for some reason in my browser it's not working in full screen. But hey, great job and great fitting to the theme!

@0x0961h Yeah, that makes sense, should've done that. I mean, I set [ESC] to close them faster, but I forgot that it untoggles fullscreen in the web, so not ideal.

@keysole It's okay. It's a jam game. You did it in a short amount of time. So whatever worked, worked. Don't sweat about it. :)

sinemual 2026-04-21 04:38

The game looks solid—everything's in its place! But it's missing some fun and player choice, I guess. It was like going to work =)

Overall nice concept and execution. It would lack one or two mechanics to get the game more thrilling. Good job

I loved the ending! Unfortunately I worry not many people will have the patience to reach it.

The UI also isn't too far off from the IRL version of this.

keysole 2026-04-24 13:00

@henk Heh, thanks, I actually wondered, if anyone got to it at all.

Great game! I really like the visuals, and the gameplay is very good. At first, I honestly didn't even realize I could click on the signals... And because of that, I was trying to search for the right signals a bit blindly, and it would have been nice if there was an indicator if there was at least one correct signal. But considering it's a compo game, it's not that bad. Once I figured out how it all works, it was fun to think and search for the right signals. I also liked the ending; it even gave me goosebumps. Great job! :D

I absolutely love the look of this. And the musicality of the text is really very nice. I was super excited at first when I found some targets. But despite clicking everything and typing in every combination of things in the target boxes, transmitting directionally and radially etc. I just couldn't get anything to happen beyond finding some targets. Not sure what I missed :(

keysole 2026-04-25 22:50

@richjbaron Hmm, not sure what's the problem is tbh. You tried inputing "RS-47" into the target, right?

zettelkasten 2026-04-26 20:18

Loved the screen effects (graphics + sound) and overall feel!

the-big-lost 2026-04-28 09:23

Not the first “terminal-signal-scanning” game I’ve played this jam, but definitely one of the better ones 👏

The gameplay basically consists of trying to make sense of the cryptic interface and instructions. It's a fun concept but there are some frustrations, like having to click that tiny “X” every time you want to close the frequence window 😅

Loved the fourth wall breaking ending!

2026-04-28 09:28

I love the concept; the interface and sounds are really cool. The gameplay feels a bit lacking, it ends up becoming repetitive, and there’s nothing that really encourages you to keep playing. Great result for a 3-day jam, congratulations!

Interesting game once I got the hang of it. There is a lot of potential in this style of game; I haven’t played something quite like this before. I had a rough time reading the target IDs, and that could be resolved easily with a bigger font size or by adjusting contrast and color. If extended, this would benefit from some automation or a loop where scanning continues and the player focuses on tuning parameters. I understand the constraints of a compo, and based on that, it was enjoyable. Good job overall.

I really like the aesthetics here, very simple but effective. I see some people mention the UI/popup window, actually I feel this gameplay has a lot of potential to turn into a hacking(typing) game, allowing player to scan and transmit just by typing out commands. I feel that would be very fun and satisfying to play! Again, a very interesting game in general. Great work!
