This game is freaking hilarious! I honestly had so much fun picking lines to flirt with the girls. The style is just awesome, and the voice acting is great. The only thing is that the text sometimes breaks, but other than that — 10/10, it was AWESOME!
@Tayaksha thanks a lot for the heads up, sorry yeah there was a bug in how text stays on the screen when you give a "normal" line (aka not a "great" or "bad" line). fixed that now thanks

Amazing graphics! And very funny! I like the sound design, too. I finished it.
I don't know how to cancel a conversation without saying a bad line and getting the police called on me. I also kind of wish I could skip the arrest cutscene.
Saying a so-so line will remove the top option, not the option that didn't work (after protag saying "I guess she didn't like that one"). It was weird that I had to use the successful option 3 times in a row to gain the last girl's number.
Every new pickup line sounded like it can't get any worse. Oh boy, how wrong I was... :see_no_evil:
I wanted to come up with some cringy pickup line myself, but I'm not as good as the woodlands-gang :sob: I guess I'd have to get some lessons from The Rizzlord to get better at it.
On a more serious note, the game has a very interesting concept, extremely cute art-style and superb voice over and music :blush: I especially love all the reactions girls make when you fail with your pickup lines again and again :sweat_smile:
I've encountered a bug, that allows you to use the same pickup line when a game gets harder and requires you to come up with multiple pickup lines. Also some of the lines that worked did not make much sense to me (especially the one with the pencil), but that's probably ESL problems.

@alexclay it can't remove the lines you used because both of them can be valid prefixes and suffixes, so it just removes an arbitrary line for rubber banding so people don't have to try 36 permutations. but yeah because it iterates the array that probably just removes the irrelevant lines top to bottom in effect. however the thing you said about the last "boss" is indeed a bug, a successful rizz should result in those lines being removed from the list of applicable lines. I will check the code tomorrow, already midnight here. thanks for that

Love it! At first I was a bit annoyed that collecting the lines takes so long, but the gameplay of finding the good combination of lines takes long enough that it was a nice pause inbetween. I think it's funny that the supposed rizzlords are all hanging out in the garden instead of being at the party with all the girls. It's impressive you came up with so many pick up lines, and puzzles where mixing them up makes them still work. The music is great, the voice acting is funny (except the bird guy) and every time I get arrested it gives me a good laugh. Clever use of the theme, and you really got down that party vibe. Great job as always, Alex!

Every single line got a chuckle out of me, and I love the "twist" ending. But let's be real, there's no other way it could have ended.

I became the Rizzlord! LOL. I thought the mechanic was cool, very inspired by Monkey Island 3 combat and I appreciated that, as it's one of my all time favorite games. Overall a great entry, despite some questionable pickup lines LOL

The jokes are so dumb they loop back around to being funny again. The voice acting is insane and chaotic in a good way and the gameplay and puzzle solving is pretty novel and cool!

That's some stellar voice acting work, and I imagine it was a huge production challenge too. Good job pulling if off. Chad's delivery, coupled with the stupid faces, just keeps cracking me up. Everything else is nice and polished too, impressive work on all fronts!
A minor quality of life improvement would be to be able to see the 2nd part of your line without picking the 1st part (even though there is a back button already).
I'm still not really sure how some of these work, but I can't deny that I haven't laughed this hard in a while

Really well polished for a three day game jam. I never got tired Chad shouting all of the pickup lines.
So. Much. Cringe.
But yeah, the gameplay was good, and the ending was funny. There really should be a web build for LD, though.

@marudziik I made a web build but I didn't set it on the ld page because it would hurt our audio ratings, on desktop all the VA gets loaded into RAM on scene boot so there's no delay to the voice lines, and there's no crackle on the mixer if you move around quickly across the centre of pan, but all of that is less smooth in webgl. was never designed to be a browser game
