The UI is really cool looking and it's a neat concept

bearcage 2025-04-08 03:30

Cool concept, and the visuals are gorgeous! It took me a minute to work out how to place points and that I needed to pan the viewport, but once I figured it out I was plotting away and seeing the world.

Thanks for sharing your game!

willby 2025-04-08 03:34

This looks quite nice, I like the ui, not sure why you would want to hide it. I didn't really find there to be any difficulty as you can just go around clockwise and you will have enough time. There isnt that much time to gain by weaving around things.

ohjuliego 2025-04-08 03:40

really cool concept! would love to see this expanded upon.. more obstacles, larger map, etc. great job!

rack47 2025-04-08 03:44

Really cool UI/graphics!

sasik 2025-04-08 03:59

The graphics are quite distinctive. It looks interesting and beautiful. The gameplay itself is also interesting, but only for a couple of times, which is a pity. I hope that this game will be developed in the future, because it is a great possible time-killer, which also looks cool. Good luck!

Ну и нет, не сосал.

joey-vrij 2025-04-08 12:39

Love the UI graphics, visualy it is stunning. Would love to see more variation in gameplay. Like obstacles etc. Great job tho!

butterflan 2025-04-08 16:19

I really like this aesthetic. It's not my type of game (it's king of niche if think ?), but it's really polish and nice.

leonis 2025-04-08 20:41

Quite challenging and very calm :)

akinat0 2025-04-08 22:08

@willby Thanks for feedback! Yes, it's our mistake during last minutes of submission time. We thought that the game is too challanging and we decided to make it easier, but it appeared that it's not challanging at all then... Common jam game design issue, you know

akinat0 2025-04-08 22:11

@sasik Thanks for your feedback! We'll prepare post-jam version💖 А жаль ;)

dylan-shumway 2025-04-09 00:30

Fun spin on the theme! The UI does a great job of creating atmosphere and cohesion with the gameplay. As others mentioned, difficulty tuning could use some work (as most jam games could  ) but it was still a fun little exploration game! I think my one nitpick is that I wish I felt the speed impact of traveling over difficult terrain more, it may have led me to make different path choices if I could see my character going slower rather than just having it impact a number differently. Well done! :confetti_ball:

tomas88a 2025-04-09 04:01

Love the art and UI! It’s a chill experience with a cool vibe, would be awesome to see more depth in gameplay later on!

5apper 2025-04-09 10:02

I really liked the art style, it took me a minute to realize I could move around the map by dragging, but that's probably just because I'm to lazy to read the controls :) Nice work!

devilxrom 2025-04-09 10:02

The game looks awesome! Just missing some chill tunes and maybe a bit of a challenge to keep me on my toes. Thanks for sharing your work — great job, and best of luck with your future projects!

scoobysnacks 2025-04-09 10:08

Simple but very cool looking graphics. I wish there was something scary or unexpected. Nice puzzle game.

forger801 2025-04-09 10:15

Thanks for the game, immersion is great! Reminds me of highfleet travel system but it looks more stylized and gameplay is more simple. Would like to see future updates on that game from gameplay perspective!

tiar 2025-04-09 10:15

I really love the style, but I'm not sure where the challenge was - clicking on every point seemed to be the best strategy, everything else was costing more points, more time and more distance. Was I misunderstanding the game? I was just clicking first on the closest point, then I went to the bottom right, then top right, top left, and bottom left, visiting all points in a straight line, and I won.

On the other hand, I really love the design of the interface. It really gives off that retro computer systems style.

akinat0 2025-04-09 11:21

@tiar That absence of challange is just a freaking last minutes of submission mistake. Game was too challenging, and we fixed that without having time to test... and it's too easy now. Sometimes that happens :( Thanks for playing and feedback!

tiar 2025-04-09 11:42

@akinat0 ah, I get it. I had the exact same problem, except with a much easier solution, since it was just a few numbers in my case. I noticed that it's too easy to kill the enemy while my game is a bullet hell so in theory having to survive a certain time is part of the challenge. I increased it, and then it turned out to be so long (and boring *and* difficult), that during a submission hour I changed it again to much lower values for the stronger enemies (and people still found other bugs I had no idea about...).

In that case, I can imagine how it was supposed to work (finding shortest routes that don't cross the mountains too much etc., like in real life you'd plan a route), and I think you did a great job. It's really difficult to get the balance right in such a short time so it's understandable. The gameplay clearly is there, the lines have different colors for the steepiness of the slope I assume, so I can see what you were going for.

mamboman 2025-04-09 12:16

The game looks beautiful! A little easy as was mentioned before =). But I still enjoyed the atmosphere and the style!

f13 2025-04-09 12:25

Absolute cinema ✋😐🤚

quackqack 2025-04-09 12:53

Very unique game, I really liked it. Tried to plan around going through rough terrain, was some fun strategy involved.

reivilibre 2025-04-09 21:36

I have to admit I don't really understand the rules of the game and didn't manage to actually win. Is it costing me more time to go up the solid white lines? Or should I purely just go point to point in e.g. a clockwise pattern?

I didn't win but there appears to be a bug whereby on your last travel, if you lose and wait a little bit, you see the 'You win' screen :D

I also found it non-obvious that you could drag the map with RMB — I actually did read the instructions too, but don't seem to be mentioned there?

The visual design is simple yet excellent — I especially like the dotty pattern of the graphics — and even the click sound really fits :)

ngryyyyy 2025-04-09 21:45

Great concept but too short & easy ! Maybe lack a little music too ? Anyway very good game congrats on that !

mega-marlon 2025-04-10 11:46

Coolest graphics I've seen in this jam. Love the aesthetic of the game and how simple, but yet difficult, of a puzzle it is. Great stuff!

nicknickolas 2025-04-10 13:50

The graphics are cool, but I didn't get the point, I just clicked on dots and ended up winning.....

gobigredfan 2025-04-10 14:48

Very innovative and polished. Never played anything like it before. For a puzzle/thinking game, I don't think there's a strong enough link between the information you're given and the actions you take and the resulting outcome - I don't really feel like I am/can reason things out in detail, or that I need to do so to win. I think a 3D version of this could be very addictive, if it made navigating the topology more intuitive.

garyglhf 2025-04-10 16:32

It was great, very beautiful and unusual, it was a pleasure to play.

2025-04-10 18:48

I did not beat the game, but I still enjoyed it. Are you by chance fan of orienteering? I got the idea of the game pretty quickly - finding out the best way to go over 9 locations in the mountanous region(correct me if I'm wrong). However it took me way more time than expected to understand you can zoom out and go through the map. The graphics are great as well as showing the altitude together with mouse cursor. Also as others mentioned a bit more tutorials would be good to add. Hope you continue developing this game, as it has potential in my opinion.

sience 2025-04-11 09:15

UI looks clean & nice. Is there a way to scroll out more? Looks like a take on The Traveling Salesman Problem.

bashem 2025-04-11 20:08

Hi! Very nice work, I really liked the visuals, overall very nice atmosphere!

agrmayank 2025-04-11 20:51

Definitely one of the most unique entries I've seen so far!! I lost and won at the same time, not sure what happened but both blinked for a sec or two, so I guess I've unlocked a hidden achievement there xD

Jokes aside, this could be a great learning gamified experiences for people to understand topography all the while having fun if I say so, possibly with real maps!

ryusui 2025-04-12 06:06

Not a tremendous amount of substance here but positively *oozing* style. I'd love to see an expanded version where there are more factors to consider when plotting your course, like changing ocean conditions.

Also, there is a minor bug where the game will give you a "You Lose" message if you run out of time, but then switch to "You Won" if you were on course to the final destination (presumably the sub's movement is still being processed in the background).

randomhuman 2025-04-12 15:10

Looks great but there's not much to the gameplay. I just went straight to all the points and won.

vidarn 2025-04-13 08:09

A very good spin on the theme! The UI looks fantastic and it's very satisfying just to do the basic actions of placing points and moving around. I think the level you have is a great introduction to the concept and I would gladly have played a few more (and more challenging) levels.

hijomo 2025-04-13 16:19

Mt. Everest. The style is clean and I liked the aesthetic. I don't really understand how the pitches make a difference. my guess is a slow add up of small optimizations. Great work.

potatobrain 2025-04-13 21:59

i like the astethic a lot

lordsheo 2025-04-19 13:42

Unfortunately my browser zoom is at like 150% by default which hid all the UI so that kind of threw me off for a while

Once I figured out it was my own fault it was a pretty chill experience, very much like how it looked well done.
