this is quite fun! you really got some good game feel to just moving side to side. the trick system feels a little too limited and offering the player more ways to mess up might make this a bit more fun! the sound was quite hilarious to an old head like me but it was missing that ESPN crowd buzz and the occasional horn xD
Original game with a nice comedy-part and references. Made with care for details. During playing I wish I could speed up by myself (not just brake), but it seems AD or left/right did nothing. That was the only part I would change in the game, everything else is perfect :)
Great speedy feeling!
Honestly love this game :) Good work
The audio was impressive. Didn't feel like the WASD controls really did much. Seems like most of the game is just Stop, reverse, and jump. Maybe I missed something?
Skateboarding is not a sport, its a way of life dude  .Loved it, really brought me back to those good ol days. Loved the cassettes too. Everything was really well put together and smooth, grats!
Original concept! Love the "Tiny Hawk" pun, and the QTE is well implemented. There are some little thing that could really enhance the game in my opinion. For example, to add subtitles and dynamic sound volume: I found of some tape recordings difficult to understand because of the "look at him go" and other sound fx that where playing at the same time. I feel this kind of thing would really benefit from having all the sound FX a little muted and some subtitles.
I'm not sure about the TNT boxes, it just makes the game slower without really adding difficulty.
Overall, that's a nice jam game, good job to you!
The voiceovers were very funny
I enjoyed the game a lot, the movement is quite fluid and the trick system while very simple doesn't get old in the time it takes to complete the game
The only annoyance I have is how the hawk comes to a complete stop if he hits he's head on a platform
Now I am waiting for Tiny Hawk 2 eh? Sorry, I had to, the internet ruined the word hawk for me
Amazing work! The title is hilarious, and as a long time Tony Hawk game fan - this really hit the spot! Each level was like a tiny puzzle trying to figure out the best route to nab collectables by any means, then switching to hunting for the best 'flow' cycle, where you could build speed, pull off tricks, and get to escape-velocity. The audio tracks were hilarious and touching, the art was adorable, and I was so glad that you stuck with the 'radical' style of the early games - wacky science tubes, a space level - I loved it. A really wonderful balance of reflexes and route-solving. I love Tiny Hawk!
Oh man I wanted to make a skate boarding game this was pretty cool. I like that one key gives you different tricks, smart with the time constraint. And the arrow keys for the pipe combos!
Really fun game! I wasn’t able to beat it, but I enjoyed the challenge. One suggestion would be to slightly shorten the map to give players a few more attempts at reaching the finish line. You might also consider adding a collectible, like coins or a guide, to help players learn the best way to navigate the map. Also, the skating animation is really well done—very smooth and enjoyable to watch!
Thanks everyone for commenting and rating so far, very much appreciated, its great to read through the feedback :)
@brainles-etertainment @happytrollangus Yeah the way to speed up is by doing tricks in the air or on the quarter-pipes at the edge of the map. A/D don't do anything, but you do speed up automatically up to a point. You can do tricks in the air by pressing 'space'. I'll try and revise our description
@chocolat-endive Thanks, we did just make an entire game based off a pun we thought was funny during initial brainstorming! I agree with the tape recordings - I think we might have accidentally put the voiceover on the same volume channel as the trick comments. Also yeah in hindsight I think we might have gone a bit OTT with those boxes - they really piss me off on the night city level!
@yakovdavis Yeah the physics still has some jank left in... spit on that :eyes:
A Line Rider-style 2d skateboarding game? Sign me up! The quicktime system was cool, but I wish there was more freedom in what tricks to do. Plays very smoothly though, and it's a very unique entry, well done!
Tony hawk hahaha. I liked doing the QTE
Fun one of the levels i found it easier to just blow all the tnt to finish maybe there should be some achievements for completing the level with out hitting anything, also really liked the collectable tapes
TSA Agent: Hawk! Like that tiny skateboarder Tiny Hawk from a Ludum Dare entry?
Tiny: Exactly
TSA Agent: Cool, I wonder what he's up to these days
Tiny: This
I like the lore bits you hid away in the mixtapes, as well as the voice overs. "What is Tiny doing???" "Right on, dude!"
Game is a bit fast paced and sometimes I feel jumps are a bit hard to gauge. Maybe it's just me, though. Also, one of the mixtapes seem to be bugged, after collecting it the sound will replay until finishing the level. I think it's the one in the lab?
Overall a bit difficult, but still a pretty fun game!
Wow, really polished skater game! Took me a short while to figure out the controls and getting used to the quick time events, but then it felt great skating around the various levels. The animations of Tiny Hawk are really well done. I'm impressed by the amount of content you we're able to pack into this game! The various levels, the stories on the cassettes and the collectibles are awesome.
That was my score at the end:

No idea, if that's good or bad, but I had lots of fun. Thanks for the game!
Super well done!! as a long time fan of THPS games this was really fun :D
Love the sound effects and sound bites! I didn't realize I was supposed to be holding space down for tricks until the end but rapid tapping still worked out well and it felt fun to keep getting faster. Overall really well done!
I love this little game. It really has the vibes of an old school flash game. The controls are very neat! Good job
This game is great and the name is well picked. Found one little bug, when you nose the ground (exp. go down ramps fast) you get stuck and stack speed up to shoot out with high speed :D
Just the name deserves a price. Lol. GJ!
