Alright I love the name of this game too much haha. Great little concept, and could be a really fun way for kids to practice math!
The screen is perhaps a bit uncomfortably small though, and the timing for levels seems pretty demanding for anyone who's not familiar with the game right away. Could be nice to be more forgiving to start and decrease that time quickly.
Great job!

I like this type of minimalistic graphics

unfortunatly i had a probleme with the screen the game looked fun but i cant really play it because the toungue doesnt go where i cliked
Love the graphics. Simple yet appealing.
Had an issue - game screen was misaligned, and clicks did not registered where they should have. I suspect it's because I have 2k resolution. Fortunately, scaling page (with shit-wheel) to 80% has fixed that. изображение_2024-10-07_155113818.png
@danoka @baturinsky Thanks for letting me know. I'll see if I can do a bug fix for that tomorrow.
This was a fun game! Sometimes it was frustrating when you only had a few numbers, but I loved the math part of it. Great job!
@danoka @baturinsky I changed a few export settings in Godot and some itch.io options. I think the issues with scaling and bad mouse click registration when maximized should be fixed now.
@bogden Thanks for playing and thanks for the kind words. I reexported it from Godot with a couple of different flags which should allow you to scale it up now. Although, the fonts don't scale so well.
@sviborg Cheers! Thanks for checking it out.
@fractal-flower-girl Thanks for playing. Yeah, if I was to work on it a bit more, I would make it so that every time you ate a worm a new worm would appear rather than having to clear the board to make them respawn. To be honest, it would be about four extra lines of code but it's not really in the spirit of the jam to make the change now.
Nice idea I like it, it was simple but cool to play I restart multiple time to go further, great job!

Love the music and vibe! Animation is smooth, fun design! But that number I need is always behind someone else LOL

I retried to play after you fixed the screensize bug and i must say i had quite a blast it was really cool i think some numbers are too big tho and sometimes i just went from like -70 to -190 and it wasnt very fun to keep spamming minus however i still enjoyed thinking what number i should pick and making the calculs in my head

5 hours?? Damn... This is great. Honestly I think I could play this for hours. No notes. Simple and fun. I'm sure you could add in more features and modes, perhaps some bonus items that freeze the timer, or maybe a wildcard number that lets you choose or something like that to mix it up a bit - but in any case, it's great as is.
Impressive project, I wasn't even aware it was made in 5 hours at first, very polished! Made it to level 7 but then I had a level to reach -38, where my previous object was 73. Safe to say, I did not make it in time
Great game, well thought out
@joer Thanks!
@garys Yeah, I agree with your suggestions. I was thinking that having different mathematical operations could be fun, too. In general, more gameplay mechanics are required but it is what it is. I'm just happy I got the chance to make something. Thanks for playing!
@tiberiusuciu Thanks for checking out the game. Yeah, after about level 5 it gets punishing. The amount that your new target value can differ from your current value increases with each level. But sometimes the RNG is kind and sometimes... well, you have to subtract 100 or so. There is definitely some things I would do to balance all of that out if I had the time to work on it more.
@leeway Haha, thanks for playing. The way worms walk all over each other was intentional but I swear they know just which number you need and make sure you can't get it.

5 hours is pretty crazy, especially since this game is actually cozy and well put together with the art and sound!
I got to level 12 and was spamming mouse clicks towards the end, which I don't even mind, because I could have hit the needed number if I hadn't miscalculated. So the way of balancing frantic mouse movement with the skill of fast math I actually quite enjoyed.
I don't have much to add to what's already been said, but wow nicely done in such a short time! I had fun playing a bunch of tries. I really like the horizontal lines in the text/font, good choice!
Creat little game, had some issues when there only few left and you need to take a big step. But other than that great idea. gj
impressive use of your 5 hours! I do wish there had been a button to click to add a few numbers instead of having to eat ALL the numbers to get new ones. But great job! I hope to see what you are capable of doing with the full allotted time! Catch ya next jam!
Amazing what you were able to achieve in 5 hours. Fun little maths game. The punishing timer having to make me do quick maths and the large gaps which eventually occurred added to the fun for me. Best I've got so far was level 6 but I'm sure I can get further when the competitive circuit starts.

That's quite a cool entry, I love the idea. Though it's not really clear the area of effect of the tongue. The art style is really simple but nicely put together, I like it a lot.
This is a great exemple of the perfect scope for a Ludum Dare game. A great balance between complexity and polish.
It's easy to learn how to play, which is really pleasing. Keep up the good work!
However, the 20 seconds seems quite short when the target goes from -20 to 83 and the difficulty seems to stall at one point. Although, with only 5 hours of work that's already incredible.
Congrats, and will definitely follow what you create next!

Love the name, the art, the sound. Super chill game and super impressive in 5 ours. Made it to level 7 where I had to go from -60 to +80 which seemed impossible. Fun game!

Love the simplicity and charm of this game! The art style is really charming too! Not shabby at all for a 5-hour creation!
I really enjoyed your game. Especially with the calming sound in the background
Because of the set amount of time each round, this game encourages you to not necessarily want just the numbers that add to give the right thing but think ahead and leave some small/large ones for the last round (not doing this and just getting the small numbers was my mistake). I found it a bit hard to click maybe because I am on a trackpad but that's just part of the fun.
Very well for 5 hours challenge, wondering what can you make in 48 hours :)

This was more fun than I expected - a little hard sometimes when just target number changes dramatically, but fun to play. Also, as others have said, really nice and complete for 5 hours!
Great idea and very impressive for only having 5 hours! Didn't think a math game could be so addicting but it kept me hooked for a while!
