Great game,! The dynamics and stylish gameplay are simply mesmerizing! ⚔️ Reminds me of Hotline Miami, but with a unique setting. The levels are really exciting, and I like how the game does not allow you to get bored! 💥 I would like to see more opportunities for improvements and attacks, it would make the game even more exciting. 👍 Great start! 👏
This was such a fun game. I really liked the dash animation (and the enemy getting hit animations), and it just felt nice to play. Sometimes it felt like the hitboxes were a bit off (i.e. it looked like I dashed through an enemy (i.e. just a bit off centre), but then the slash misses.
The upgrading was interesting, though ultimately the more attack seemed too strong to not pick. Maybe if the dash cooldown penalty was bigger?
Anyway, great game! I made it to the end on normal difficulty, with one death.
Edit: Oh, also, I liked the ominous tone of the story, though I'm still not sure what the ending means?
@jaco-van-hemert Hello! Thanks for feedback. Yea, selection of more attack is much stronger. Great jobe on normal difficulty! Ending is open for interpretation, i can only say that we killed our queen.

I can see hotline miami / katana zero influence. Loved it. WASD walking doesn't make a lot of sense since I can always move with dashing

This was absolutely amazing. You nailed it, was well rounded in it's design. It's cool to see what you accomplish.
Dash mechanic feels awesome, controls felt responsive, overall very satisfying. The story is surprisingly deep for how short the game is. My favorite game so far!

Love what you did with the screen shake & zoom, intensity movement vignette-y triangles, rainbow combo lettering, and so on. Good work on fleshing out a compelling narrative premise so quickly!

The combat was fun! I think it could use some more variety of attacks but overall it was satisfying to rack up combos.
Awesome game; you really nailed the feeling of that dash attack, and it was fun lining up combos! Played through twice (once on Normal, the next on Hard) and had a great time with both. I definitely felt like Attack + Range Up was always the right choice, especially on Hard mode - with so many of the enemies dealing damage on contact, it was usually safer to clear out space with the longer dash vs chaining attacks for the invincibility. Great work!
A VERY COOL GAME! I liked everything! The music is a separate masterpiece, it sets this atmosphere very strongly!

This was really cool. The tone was also really unnerving. It would have been nice if there was an option to select unlocked levels, I accidentally clicked the wrong button and got sent back the main menu at one point...

This was a really fun game, and I really loved the attacks. It felt very easy, but that can be forgiven. Great job!
Very fun to play. High energy, high demand. I played the one life mode and it hit that Hotline Miami flow just right. The pumping music, tense combat, and the weird mindgame the sparse story plays on the player... Very good. I can't believe I only have one command and two upgrades, yet it still felt like enough. The slow down and effects on the dash were perfect.

This was a blast to play! The controls are tight, and I was moving through it so fast I didn't even realize until my second playthrough that there were ants I wasn't supposed to kill :sweat_smile:
What if katana zero, but ants??? Great game! A very smooth experience and nice sprinkles of narrative. Upgrades felt kinda strange, but fun nevertheless!
WHOA, this game went way harder than I expected. The gameplay isn't the most frantic (on normal at least) yet it feels SO FLUID AND EPIC! The style in this game is just spectacular, and I didn't expect the story to go in that direction either!
I did end up with my screen kinda orange while fighting the boss, I think I killed it as I got hit and maybe that did it? I assumed my vision was obstructed by honey or something thematically lol.
And omg the room with a bunch of ants and getting that huge combo felt SO AWESOME!
Loved it, the messages were super funny. Controls were easy to understand very good overall.
A nice compact game with story and some monologues to tie the experience together. Nice job with the effects hyping up the combat, and including multiple game difficulties.
