I enjoy the feeling of "drawing" the spells onto the ground. It would be cool to maybe have different spells happen based on what shapes you draw. Unique idea, I hope you take it beyond this jam!

when I entered the game I saw very interesting gameplay, a lot of FPS and, in principle, it was interesting to destroy enemies. how sad I was when I found out that in this game there is no purpose for other types of enemies and types
Oh my gosh! I enjoyed this little game so much! Drawing the fireballs in is SO satisfying, and I was infinitely entertained by using the walls to collect all the lil demons. Playing this game felt very zen and I very much enjoyed it!
Adding a little screenshot of me collecting the succubi demons in the walls because it's hilarious succubi slayer.png
Really nice work with the art of demons and the main player. Also the spell cast by drawing is an interesting mechanic, maybe you can still finish this game by adding some animations, nerfing the spell a bit and making the demons also throw something at you. A tip for the next jam is to try to always bring the scope down than add to the game if there's time left ;)
Nice sound effects and music. The gameplay was not really finished, but with more time this could get quite enjoyable. The easiest thing that you could modify to make the game more dynamic is to spawn enemies closer to the player, blocking his path so that he can't just run away.
Even though, as you said, the game doesn't have a goal or a lose condition, I spent a bunch of time in it just running around and casting fireballs. The sound and the particles make it satisfying enough to wanna try things out.
This way of casting is actually pretty fun and I don't think I've seen this exact style before. I can imagine a game with different spells being cast by clicking/dragging in different ways, e.g. a simple click casts a fireball, a flick away from the character casts a lightning, a flick toward the character casts a heal, drawing a wall across character's FoV casts a shield there, etc. You wouldn't have to select spells from a menu or click buttons, you'd just "mind control" which spell you want. Might make a pretty sick input method!
Also, just exploring geometric effects in this thing is fun: my favorite is to draw an outward-pointing ">" and watch it "spread its wings" as it flies away :D
Overall, I enjoyed the entry. Congrats on your first Jam! Fun little activity, isn't it? The more jams you do, the more fun they become, so here's to more jams in the future :)
This was sick! I would actually play a full game of this with some expanded mechanics. It was surprisingly fun just to run around experimenting with drawing different shapes. I found drawing a straight line between me and a group of enemies seemed to be really efficient and wiping them out. Scope is hard in game jams, but I this was a really cool idea with good (albeit minimal) art. Great job!
ohh ! its fun to draw to summon mighty fire ! I acted like a 13 year old boy and drew a dick 10/10
I enjoyed the drawing spell idea you made def a unique take on attacking, Wish i could've played the finished game since this was already quite fun to just run around and spam fireballs everywhere, dont let the "not finished" part discourage you from joining future jams we all learn as time goes on, hope i see you guys in the next one!
Very nice pixel art, and the way you cast spell is very satisfying.
Cool idea! Definitely getting strong Vampire Survivors vibes from this one. It's a shame you guys weren't able to finish, but congrats on your first LD! Scoping small is really really hard to do and takes practice. I still suck at it myself. One word of advice about the sound effects -- have a sound effect "cooldown" of about 0.05s can help prevent multiple instances of the exact same sound stacking on top of each other, leading to loud volume jumps. That way when you hit a large group of enemies simultaneously, it doesn't stack the same hit sound 10 times. Overall a nice solid start to a game, I hope you continue it! Best of luck and good job
I find the idea behind it that you draw the attacks very creative. If there was a score in it now, I'd probably be totally hooked :)
The idea underneath the game is pretty original and its implementation is very playable. I was enjoying drawing the shapes. The only problem I spotted is the fast exhaustion of the "ammo bar", so that I wasn't being able to draw long lines. Maybe some kind of "rapid chargers" bonuses would fix the situation. But, again, the idea and its implementation are pretty cool!
Love the idea behind it, would've loved to see it fleshed out a bit more. But well done for your first jam game!
This is a fun concept! Next jam, you'll be able to build on what you've learned here. I want to see this drawing concept used for so much more!
Despite the lack of a game loop as you mentioned, it’s surprising how enjoyable even a single solid mechanic can be. It is a good starting point. Good job!
I enjoy the ability to navigate enemies into boxed in areas, the controls being smooth, and the music loop. I'd love to see pickups, score, and objective being implemented in the future. :) Very solid for a first entry. Your team made the deadline! That's half the battle! :)
Although the game is unfinished, I actually had fun just running around casting spells and trapping the demons. I think it just goes to show that you had a promising core idea and implemented it quite well (the feel of the casting and the sound effects when they hit a demon were spot on). For a first entry it is still quite good that you were able to ship a playable demo, and I do hope you continue bringing such ideas to life :) Scoping in game jams is definitely a skill that you will learn over time.
Good base for a game. I liked the fire effects, and the feeling of drawing your own spells. A shame you didn't have the time to add all the features you wanted. Nice work for a first jam project!
