The art, sounds, and overall vibe are awesome! However, I did run into an issue with the web player where my mouse wouldn't disappear even in fullscreen, so I couldn't rotate the camera fully. Not sure if that's a browser-specific issue.

great graphics and mood, tho it took me a while to figure out what to do

laniph 2024-04-16 02:29

The atmosphere is excellent, I could spend quite some time wandering around even if it's really ominous.

victor-perotto-pioner 2024-04-16 02:35

Beatifull arts, effects and shaders, some amazing work!!

yorsh 2024-04-16 02:41

Wow really nice mood. The effects are awesome, I really like what you achieved.

There is no real gameplay, but that's no too much of an issue for me. Tho instead of trying to add stuff to do, maybe you could have made some sort of introduction (could be a few voice lines over the radio while you search for the thing, or whatever). Could be fast to make but add a lot to the experience imo.

Man. You had me yelling "No no no.. what the f$%& is that" in discord. Nice work.

damn you actually made a game that looked like the screenshots you shared, looks pretty nice and I'm surprised my ancient GT1030 card didn't go all boom boom. overall I enjoyed the atmosphere and all the crazy effects but I wish it had more gameplay in it (I'm sure all that graphics takes time). you should totally make a short horror game out of this and throw in on itch.io!

thekatmol 2024-04-16 15:20

The vibes are on point. I got reminded to play your game via a post you made on day number 2? What a beautiful experience, and what a horrifying demon. I love how you made the demon warp the space around it, and how slow and meticulous it's movements were. It made it seem much more dangerous that it was. I was nothing, and was not worthy of it's notice... at least not in the beginning.

I liked the idea and realization

VFX and SFX are beautiful and make my brain blown!

That's ultra amazing and beautiful, liked that!

neontropics 2024-04-17 21:15

I loved this - amazing vibes and it was fun just following the demon and watching it warp the world. Would love to play an expanded version with some more actual gameplay.

Also I had to boot the game up again after I read you used a plastic bag for the rain, good job lol, it sounded very convincing.

Very visually impressive, although I do think some of the effects were a bit over the top, like the little white dots of light that appeared everywhere, I would have liked to see them smoothed out a bit. The sounds were also very nice.

Nothing much to rate gameplay-wise, unfortunately, though of course I understand why

Looks awesome!

I was playing the web version, but the mouse sensitivity was so high that I couldn't control the camera properly. :(

hurp 2024-04-19 10:36

Very cool visual style, and GJ making all of this. Respect :D

braulio-jg 2024-04-19 10:39

Immediately immersed me in the mood. It looks like all the time went to the graphics and audio, but the result is an astounding atmosphere.

amunonra 2024-04-19 10:43

Amazing work on the graphics and the mood. I was very curious of what would happen if the ritual was successful.

Was a great experience to play this.

hobscure 2024-04-19 11:32

Great looking game with a strong mood. Gameplay wise things were a bit unclear, and when it became clear, a simple. But I have to say it again, great looking game.

custodi 2024-04-19 13:23

One of the best works with 3D graphics here, but i have problem with camers - it tries to rotare constantly, despite real mouse input. So sad that game has little gamemplay.

el-pepi 2024-04-19 13:38

Stunning visuals! So sad you couldn't make more with this.

xoreaxeax 2024-04-19 15:02

Thank you all so much for your nice comments and input! This means a lot to me <3

@custodi thats odd! What browser do you use? I tested it on Chrome, Edge and Safari and had no such issues so far. Do you have another input device connected such as a gamepad?

maimai 2024-04-19 19:19

An aural/visual delight! The weather audio/visual effects and lighting are fantastic, and the almost imperceptible music creates such an ominous ambience. The warping effect around the creature is super neat. That, along with the (presumably) procedural tentacle animation all add up to create such an unsettling feeling. Even without any real gameplay this is such an immersive experience! So, massive kudos to you, you've created a wonderful piece of art!

surfa 2024-04-19 19:33

On first launch the audio was way too loud for me I had to turn my volume right down. An option to change the volume in-game would have been nice. Also I had an issue whereby one of the trees fell down and launched me really high into the air and I never came back down. So I had to reload the game. But the mood and the graphics were really good (except for the rain effect, I was not a fan of that). Overall a spooky interesting experiences with some slight technical hitches for me.

chibiata 2024-04-19 20:57

the mood is on another level, holy shit. if you compare this to any other jam entry its just insane. gameplay was lacking, but i guess it wasnt your focus so thats fine. overall still really good job!

mathead 2024-04-19 21:26

These visuals blow my mind! You should definitely make a full game out of this!

someone 2024-04-20 00:36

Lovely effects and I like the design of the creature. Shame there is no real gameplay.

pikario 2024-04-20 12:17

Great job! Visual and ambiance are stunning. I didn't notice it was a plastic bag for the rain ^^

Apart for the missing win condition, I have a minor critic: trees have a blocking collision, maybe a sliding one may have made moving in the forest more fluid.

But well done :)

orangedragon 2024-04-21 15:17

This is fantastic. Some of us ( me and my friend in particular (: ) are struggling to make something even when using free assets, but you managed to make your own 3d visuals from scratch and make them a part of the game! I think this is highly commendable. Sure, in terms of gameplay there is little to nothing, but what is there is just excellent. Good job!

diego-escalante 2024-04-22 15:03

Feels like a cool tech demo with really cool effects and ambience! The monster(?) is really well made as it moves around. Makes me wish there was more to the gameplay!
