Fun little puzzles and a non-zero amount of social commentary? Awesome!
I like the part where you burn down someone's house to clear space for a mini-mall.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD54 → Magus of the Leylines

Really neat little falling sand game. The limited instructions do a good job of adding a puzzle element as well. It's surprisingly easy to fail the first level. I had to try multiple times despite solving it in the same way.
Hilarious and extremely innovative! The new tasks for each level keep it super fresh. Great work!
It's a very good idea
Regrettably, I was unable to burn down the house.
...Wasn't expecting to say that today.
Make way for the mall. It's nothing personal, foliage.

This was a fun sandbox and set of levels! Remminds me a lot of Powder Toy, Noita, and other pixel-based simulation games. I appreciate how everything you have to do is extremely mundane for the most part.
Unfortunately it did feel like most of the levels were very narrow, and the tiny leyline area meant there were not *that* many options for what to do. Most of the time you didn't have much control beyond picking the right combination and ratio of ingredients and hoping it works. Of course, you also added a sandbox mode to mess around in if you want more freedom.
I got levels 1-5 relatively easily, but couldn't figure out level 6.
Nice work for 48 hours!
I love the fire and smoke. Very neat concept. I enjoyed playing.
Neat game, enjoyed playing.
Really nice game! It felt super good playing it - all the interactions made sense and were really fun, especially the fire! It was a bit hard at first, but the first few levels made a nice job of easing you in. I especially liked the last level - I felt really clever when solving it, and with a score of 67 to boot! The opening text was cool too, I loved the contrast between the build-up and the actual levels. It took me a while to understand the score system, and some levels felt like they required a bit too much precision, but other than that, great entry!
Very fun game! Was super fun to play around with different ways to beat the different levels. Like the first time I beat the final level I tried smothering out the flames by having smoke build up at the bottom of the screen and smothering them out (which worked! Even though I got a score of 0!), my second attempt was to use the steam to get the fire to turn off, which worked much better. I really enjoyed that cool "decision space" your design allowed. And I absolutely burst out laughing when after the buildup from the intro, the way ot save the kingdom was volleyball. Amazing, love it (and the other funny levels too, but volleyball takes the cake). Great job!
Nice puzzle game!
a good little puzzle game, fantastic use of the theme
Fun sandbox game. The last puzzle actually took me awhile, I kept trying to cover the fire with dirt but I'm not sure that works
I really like games like this and had a lot of fun. Thanks :)
Great little sim! Having various objectives kept it fresh and fun and the sandbox is a nice bonus.
Great puzzle game. I felt that some solutions I made relied on luck rather than the right choice, kkkk, but that doesn't make the game bad. It adds a unique aspect to it. Good work—I really enjoyed playing this game.
Excellent game, I love sandbox games where you can succeed in many different ways, and yours does it very well. And it's amazing all the different effects you've managed to implement in your game, well done! 😉
This game was a little confusing at first but eventually opened up to me. The sanboox element really enabled me to approach problems from multiple angles which I enjoyed, I usually ended up with a task failed successfully kind of situation but that's what made it memorable
I really liked the particle and element interactions. The smoke bubbling up through ash was awesome!
I'd have liked to be able to skip through the dialog.
Nice work!
Nice puzzler!
Got more complex throughout the game so it was enjoyable to learn, liked to play with the different elements.
Pretty fun puzzler! All of the interactions between various objects made sense. My only real gripe is the small play area limits the options for creativity in solution somewhat.
