I got so addicted to this! I love how there's a risk reward aspect where you can swerve into the forest or the other side of the road to avoid traffic at great risk to damage to your car! Love it!

I really enjoyed the art style and had fun playing it. Keep up the good work!
The car AI was solid, they drove erratically enough for me to never feel safe but didn't take it so far that it felt too random or unfair. Also loved the risk/reward tradeoff for bailing out to the oncoming lane or the grassy area, provided a constant influx of interesting decisions for me to make. Great work!
It's better not to drive into the oncoming lane in this game :D A car health counter would be nice I like this game)
Very interesting concept from the jam theme, the controls were very touchy and it added a lot of difficulty to the game and I really enjoy that, the music was really calming which is nice but I feel something a bit more intense would have suited the game better since you are driving to the hospital, but this was a really nice submission, good job!
I got way too into this game haha! was able to get a not too shabby 66sec run which for the time being im happy about. great job making a game that kept me hooked for longer than any other game jam game so far! keep it up guys!
Nice explosion fx when crashing on other cars!
Ambulance is the panzer of peacetime. XD
Oh my gosh, this is so hilarious! >o< LMAO
Some of the other traffic participants might die, but it's a sacrifice I am willing to make.
@shad they're just sleeping don't worry
@wook wow thank you! I think that's the biggest compliment you can give, because people usually don't spend very long playing jam games haha :)
@floppynub great insights, thanks for playing :)
@medow that's what we were going for! I'm glad it worked out :)
@congeesetador interesting, my dad turned the music off because it was too stressful lol, it's not supposed to be calming. thanks for playing :)
I really liked this. Music and the audio design made it stressful in a good way. Great job!
Very fun, definitely feels like a flash game. Enemy car AI is pretty solid, they love driving in front of you or creating a huge pile up. The leaderboard is a nice touch.
The leaderboard system made this game 1000% more fun. The feeling of having ur name in at the podium makes the replayability addictive. As someone who spends their time infesting random leaderboards with the infamous "Mike Hawk" this game was perfect!!!!! However, player_name length was too short and you could not have rankings in more than one spot. Found that out after "technically" obtaining 5/10 of the top spots, only the highest counted =(
Great Game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The idea is nice, but the game is very hard. The controls could be more precise. Sometimes the lane fills up with cars and you loose time and HP to get through. In the left it`s easy to die, one hit and you probably will die. The forest is very cluttered and makes navigation hard.

@pawel12 that was the idea, it's all about risk vs reward, if you see an opening, you need to assess if it's worth it or not to gain some extra time by taking a huge risk. If there was always an opening in the main lane there would be no point of taking the different paths, and if those different paths were not hard enough, you could just stay in them the whole time. It's a fine balance that we didn't get perfect though. Thanks for playing :)
Could be fun with some balancing. I feel that your own lane is bit too slow and oncoming bit too fast. There is no time to react
@jormarysky yes maybe a bit slower oncoming, just wanted to make sure you cant dodge them and stay in that lane the whole game
Loved it! I'm all for spinning the roulette and trying to go as far as possible in the oncoming traffic, and the chaotic explosive pileups that quickly ensue. Having the Jambulance be an absolute tank is also very fun to play with.
It felt like however there was little incentive to switch lanes. It feels like there should be an optimal way to play, by weaving between the three areas whenever it works best, but I can never get it to work - often I'm stuck in one lane for a long time (which is bad when I'm stuck in the forest lane). There could be F-Zero style WARNING arrows showing a major blockage on the middle lane, or a construction zone on the right lane, to force you off. Or alternatively, some kind of rare event that lets you gain a lot of speed if you can somehow make it there in time to catch it.
It felt a bit too difficult to me but I still had a ton of fun with it. Very unique and fun take on the theme, nicely done!
@broondoon yes balancing it was a challenge, I really like your ideas :) thanks for playing
someone revoke my license. I think I took more lives than I saved lol.
I enjoyed how the music got increasingly faster, really felt the speed. One thing I thought that would've helped was if there some sort of damage meter to keep track of how beat up the ambulance is. Very theme fitting, and great game overall!
@rena lmao thank you
I'm not sure why, but the driving physics were extremely stuttery. The actual physics of crashing into traffic and obstacles worked fine, but the driving itself was not smooth at all. That being said, the game was still fun enough to finish! Really liked that you added different routes to try. Loved the theme interpretation, good job!
@deadjolly Thank you :)
yeah no idea what causes that, tried for 2 hours to fix it and it wasnt related to the camera, wasnt related to the movement code, wasnt related to the screen shake or anything haha literally no clue but it is pretty annoying.
This was really fun. Love the chaos. Nice job :)
I really like the over the top chaotic nature of the game. the visuals, ui and humor really give the game early 2000's flash game vibes. Having high risk high rewards alternatives to the main road (driving on the opposite lane and going off-road) is also pretty cool
@kizilejderha Thank you <3 I grew up on flash games haha
This was a lot of fun! I really enjoyed the different routes you set up, each with their own difficulty, let me choose how chaotic or daring I wanted to be haha! The controls were good, but sometimes I felt a bit too harshly punished with the collisions. If I lightly tapped a car when I was accelerating, I'd come to a complete stop every time. Maybe factoring in direction and speed based on the object might help it feel a bit smoother. I loved the graphics and explosions, especially creating a traffic jam from hitting one too many cop cars! Overall this was a great little game - good job!
I think i killed a lot more people than an ambulance should... cool game!
The first time the patient died but lets not talk about that. Luckily I could explode the cars out of the way. Especially the ones parking on the sides of the highway. This game is awesome, really fun to play. Also nice that you added high scores :) Well done!
I liked the chaotic challenge of trying to get through the cars. The exploding cars were a nice feature and added to the chaoticness. Adding the oncoming lane was a good idea, although I couldn't figure out how to drive on it since I always died. One thing I would add is a health bar or something to show how damaged the ambulance is.
Yo, love the game! simple idea fitting very nicely with the theme! Graphics were great and it felt solid and polished. Nice work!
Good job, tried to use the left risky lane, that wasn't a good idea :) but it was a lot of fun.
Great game! I had a lot of fun playing this over and over to get on the leaderboard. I think the course might be a bit too long given the random nature of the gameplay, it's annoying when you're almost a minute in and then you get pelted by a random car and lose everything. But I had a ton of fun, it was great! Awesome job.
Short, but fun! You could have penalized the player for hitting cars, but instead you went in the complete other direction, letting you freely shove them out of the way and even having them blow up if they take too much damage, and the result is much more entertaining. It's a creative interpretation of the theme, too.
I'd love to see an expanded version of this with multiple levels, there's definitely scope here to make something larger.
