This is a SOLID game. Well done. It's like a Cities Skylines early prototype. I got the enough power to both cities and really enjoyed it! Thanks for sharing!.

linus-lindberg 2023-05-01 07:22

Very fun. I love this kind of game. I can't stop playing!

Frankly the tutorial and help could do with a bit of work but once I figure out what I wass doing I actually had a good bit of fun spamming down solar panels until I won. Good Job!

joaosilva22 2023-05-01 09:24

So much fun! I struggled a bit with figuring out how to place buildings and connect them, but once I got the hang of it, I was able to beat the game. Well done!

Took a few tries to work out what I was doing, but once I got going it is a very fun game. Great submission :)

randompickle13 2023-05-01 13:07

The start is a bit slow, but once it gets going it is really fun.

Good game, very enjoyable and fun, lost track of time fixing the power problem a good strategy game delivering power.

kyboon 2023-05-01 16:52

Great game and idea! The economy is unbalanced towards the end, as you always have too much currency to spend by then. Also it's impossible to lose the game, it's just a matter of time to win. Maybe instead of making the buildings generate money over time, you get money for once off when the power is connected, so the player will need to plan out the building order.

Some sfx would go a long way. Playing some sound when placing down buildings and connecting them will improve the game feel a lot.

Btw, the game didn't end automatically when I had both city on green, no prompting too.

@kyboon Thank you! Yes, unfortunately I did not have enough time to get a good balance. The one off money thing is interesting. Sorry the ending didn't work, thanks for letting me know!

I did it, I created a coal empire that generated enough energy for everyone!

Super fun game, I got really into it, unlocking more energy sources via research, figuring out good ways to best utilize space and transfer power all felt great. I also enjoyed how there were multiple ways to success, like you could use either energy type dominantly, it didn't feel like I had to depend on one, I enjoyed the freedom in that. The type of gameplay you can't put down until you've beat the game, great entry!

Really fun game, spent like 30 min playing it. Music is simple but fits perfect. 5/5 fun.

blotosaur 2023-05-04 03:51

Cool and relaxing. I was willing to spend more time on it than the time it took to finish. Great entry!

grid96 2023-05-05 10:21

Wow, this game has a lot of content! :O

Ended up playing this for much longer than I anticipated. Was real fun figuring out the ratios of production lines. Reminded me a bit of Factorio :)

yuriscat 2023-05-07 05:04

I didn't expect you to create so much content in just 48 hours. The actual content of the game is much more than it seems. I really enjoyed playing it and thank you for providing me with such a great experience.

avavt 2023-05-08 04:16

Wow that's a lot of content for a Compo entry!

Had great fun figuring out how to balance the output/inputs.

Though I'd love to have the content of the `Help ?` page shown before playing, it's quite important information.

(Not like it matter much, but) wind power remains shitty in the end, despite so many upgrades 😅

This was fun! The music fits very well like someone said and the graphics are good for the genre. It was easy to play after some misunderstandings. Maybe I was just too lazy to read carefully. I placed the first research station way off and that hurt a lot...
