Yes, Made a full game again
just perfect, getting into the theme, nice graphics sound and music. the only one minus(for me) is that the controls are scattered on the keyboard. It was difficult for the WASD adept to adapt to the arrows and jump to z. I played with crossed arms:D
I agree with kykypy3o8. It looked and sounded great but the controls were a little wonky. It was very hard for me but I don't know if that was game difficulty or controls difficulty. Either way it was quite fun. "Gomakadelivry" was very funny
@kykypy3o8 Quik remapping for you (try again)
@adan1032 Whas stil working on my game didn.t know i put it live ty for the feedback i think now the wonkyness is gone
@senso thx, now it's great))
Great vibes. Love "gomakadelivery". Very fun with a few good mechanics to spice up movement. Physics felt great and I love the "huh" noise the egg makes whenever you jump. The visuals almost remind me of watercolor or something. If the platforms were something other than gray boxes, this would actually be a very pretty game. Great work!
@real-human-1000 if only we had more time (or an artist) didn’t get to the hand drawn tiles. Ty for the feedback.
cool game! really enjoyed the fun art style and music.
I like how responsive the controls are. Great entry! Also really digged the music.
@takhomasac thank you for playing my game
That was great! My favourite mechanic was the egg slide of awesome. Love the afterimages as you move, very over the top! I also loved the little bit of detail in the plants swaying as you move past them.
Keep up the great work!! :D
@fersyvanderzee a lot of time went into the control settings (playing to much) ty for the notice!
I love how you transform into a fried egg when you crouch! The voice lines were also quite funny, although I never fully figured out what the guy who receives the delivery said in the end ^^' Good job!
@max-amaaden thank you for taking the time to play Eggo. The egg slide is the best mechanic in there I think.
Nice entry! Loved the mood :-D Although I am not sure if I bumped into a bug or you simply start from the first level whenever you lose a deliver. If that's the case I hate you xD
@icch-howw Thank you for your time to play my game. I have to look up te raw file for the end line.
@island-jam-2-group-3 Yes it says rage quit , so no bug. It is so you can save time on a better run to get to the end. Ty for the hate xD.
That was fun, kinda hard to play tho, mostly because I play on azerty and not on qwerty. Good job !
Platform deliverer was a solid take on the theme. You covered all the classic platform bits in just 48 hours - nice work. I felt like the level design could have used a little more variety. The camera kept me from seeing the best route, and I occasionally fell down into pits that just slowed me down. That was probably part of the design, but it rewarded memorizing a level, which isn't something I think most LD reviewers are going to do.
I thought the egg was cute, and I really like the visual of the egg going flat.
@draconox did you get far on that keyboard:) if you did (impressive). Thank you for playing.
@defrag The idea of the game is learning the best routes indeed. A “map” where falling is quicker would be have been smart. Thank you for the feedback.
I really liked the art style and audio, great game!
@kreshi Thank you 🙏
This was actually a rather pleasant surprise... I saw the graphics and was not too sold .. Buuuuuut it really grew on me and the controls seemed so smooth and you had a lot of small details that really completed the entry. Transitions, swaying flowers, nice flow, well made character controller. In short - good job :thumbsup_tone1:
:purple_heart: :dart: :frog:
@purpledartfrog Thank you for your review. The art is not my strong side i use a lot of "smart" ways to make it appealing.
This game has a surprisingly great game feel. Usually platformers are one of my least favourite games to play in jams because it's hard to get the feel right, but here it feels great rushing towards the exit. There are some spots where you are making blind jumps or falls but other than that it's tweaked well. Love the music, sound effects and the whole idea of an egg cracking to slide... hahaha, nice game!
Great game, loved the movement physics.
The controls were really satisfying and once I enjoyed the fact they were "slippy" felt really egg-like. I wish I could have seen the best route more easily, especially as you start all over again everytime you loose. I admit that I ended up rage quitting 🙃
DUDE THIS REMINDS ME OF OLD FLASH GAMES, SO MUCH NOSTALGIA I LOVE THE ART
It was pretty fun though it does get sort of repetitive, portions of the levels were reused in other ones, or at least it felt like it (The egg fella even calls the developer a "lazy ass" :( ). The groundpound wasn't really used in the levels, which is a shame.
The art is freaking sick though. I love the art style and how things wiggle when you pass by them. Small things like that. The character movement was also really well done and very smooth! Well done!
Great game! The art style is really cool and also the music. Funny idea with the turning into a fried egg ^^
@congusbongus thank you for the feedback. I like you like my Game feel put a lot of effort in it .
@sebastiaan-wouters thank for rating my game in your first Jam:)
@saltysa learning the levels is part of the game. Do have to admit al upward pats are shorter. Ty for the rage quit , love you admit it !
@crow-seeds the levels are randomly picked so there is some repeated possibilities. Worked my ass of in the 48 hours still called lazy by an egg is what jams ( compo ) is about :)
@kitira thank you for taking the time to play my game and writing a review.
Really cool game ! I like the graphics and the mission. The music is also very cool. The only issue I had is with keyboard mapping. I'm on AZERTY, and this only made for QWERTY. So my keys are messed up. It's better to either add a arrow keys as well, or use physical key mappings, so the keys are dependent on their location on the keyboard rather than on their value Other than that, solid entry
I liked the amount of moves the player had and how it felt but unfortunately couldn't make the double jump at the start of level 1.2
But it seemed very polished and fun. Nice work (love how you slide by turning into a fried egg!)
EDIT: It seems the level 1.2 is different from the one in your playtrought. Not sure if it was intended or not.
This was the best. The programming was excellent, and your idea was perfect. Good job. I have nothing to add but the fact that I am saving this game for later!!!
@hakro next time I’ll make that mapping option totally forgot AZERTY 🤪
Thank you for the feedback
@kiguel182 the maps are randomly picked so I don’t know the exact lvl 1.2. Think you need te stomp if you can’t double jump.
@beebster-games thank you for the complements.
Haha, I like the little touches like things in the background moving slightly when you touch them and the trail the egg leaves behind. The sound effects are also hilarious, and the level randomization is a cool idea. I do wish the timer was a little less tight since starting over from the beginning when you just get unlucky with the level is a little punishing, but overall this is quite good!
@cassowary The levels have a time penalty so if you complete all levels you have the same total time.
This is really polished platformer! I loved the integrated tutorial.
@maximeg thank you for your time playing my game.
Fun and really engaging platformer! My favorite part is how naturally the tutorial fits in with the gameplay. There are lots of nice little touches like particles, trails, and nice audio feedback when jumping and interacting. The timer makes it pretty challenging but I managed to do it. :)
@ruthiepee Thank you for the kind feedback.
