I really dig the oppressive mood that the game is creating. The distant thumping of turrets really works well with the overall look and feel of the game. The game play felt a little random at times, I lost a few times despite being very efficient with my resupplies, and I'm not really sure how I could have improved without getting lucky about enemy spawns.
@kleinzach
Yeah, the game is need to be balanced a bit with turret placing and max ammo per turret, im trying to get balance between unavailability to create unbeatable defence and lesser randomness.
Thanks for your comment!
I like the mood but it felt too slow for me. I got bored of filling up ammo and the enemies didn't feel like a threat. Maybe it will get harder eventually. Also, the alarm sound when hitting an asteroid scared the shit out of me!
@helekopeter As i found too, the slowness may cause some pain, but that is a mechanics conceived to bring up player to manage his time resources! Sorry for screamer-alarm =D

I really enjoyed this one! The atmosphere generated by the sound, music, graphics, and methodical gameplay is very well done. I really like how the combat lights up the clouds in that direction so you can immediately see who needs the next ammo delivery. Nice job on having the main menu teach you the controls, too. The momentum takes a few minutes to get used to, but I ended up really enjoying the challenge. Very solid game, here!
@chompdev Thanks for your feedback! Glad to hear you liked it! :grinning:
I enjoyed learning the control scheme. I would have played longer if I had some idea of where ammo was needed the most.
Great entry!
The atmosphere is great on this one and it's easy to get absorbed in refuelling the turrets. It took me a while to figure out there were other turrets beyond the initial 4 at the spawn point - maybe some kind of offscreen indicator to show you how far away other turrets are? Really liked the invisible combat that you only see via the clouds lighting up though, that was a cool effect.
I think you built a solid mechanic here! I really liked! A minimap showing the towers would help a lot. An arrow point to the main base would also help. I played only using AWSD and only after I noticed you can use QE. I'm not sure, but I think you should stick with one of both (use QWE and drive it like a car, or use AWSD and drive it as a drone). Having both options may confuse players. But again! I really liked what you came up with!
@listlessonion It is hard to say where ammo needed most due to enemy spawn mechanic where they can come from literally any direction, maybe next version will get enemy roads and more intuitive player goals!
Thanks for your comment!
@misterkeefe Yep, screen border indicator was one of the first things i thinked of, but we were out of time, so there was just not enough time to add it =( Glad to hear you liked the atmosphere! =D
Thanks for your comment!
I like the idea of not having to fight but instead relly on turrets, it adds a strategy element to the game, the enemies are quite sneaky though lol, I think there is a bug where if you hit a rock or border and the dron rotates movement completely breaks but other than that I had fun navigating my way into turrets

Cool game, liked the little rocket drone we control while delivering ammo to our turrets. +1 for the minimap and I would add a little hints for what is what. Idea of giving player control of his drone in the menu to "click" buttons was really cool, although somewhat confusing at first, maybe little hint there would make things clear. Overall very nice execution on the topic of delivery :)

Love the atmosphere here. A bit difficult to navigate the drone, but I got a hang of it. I love flying quad drones IRL so this was a fun experience for me. Music gave me super metroid vibes, and the intensity of juice when you collide with a rock was well done!
Great working game, it does play a little slow, which you have already addressed. Other than that great game!
Nice idea and nice controls. But [Q] and [E] needed only to stabilize vessel after hit. And I think some information about turrets and base status will be helpful. But at all - was fun to play.
@cabjhegas The idea with that little confusing controlls was to give player a quadrocopter-like experience :helicopter:
Thanks for your feedback!
@0x-void-x0 It sometimes takes a lot of time to stabilize dron after recieving a great torque, maybe i should add more rotating power to avoid Interstellar moments =D
Thanks for your feedback!
@bartekde Yeah, minimap is another one of things that we were thinked of and got not enough time to implement
Thanks for your feedback, glad to see you liked it!

@daniillenin you probably misclicked, because I haven't played you game at the time of your comment. But now I have!
This game could be so much more than it is. I'll complain now about several things, but please understand that it's because I see so much potential in this idea ("TD, but you need to deliver ammo") - Sprites seem so pretty, but they are soo tiny! Very hard to enjoy them properly! - Goes together with the previous point, but because of high distance between "camera" and "field", everything seems too stretched. There is almost nothing happening at the same time on screen, you just see yourself and a couple of rocks, and all the fun is there somewhere, hidden behind screen borders. I delivered that ammo, I want to see enemies obliterated by it, not just hear it and return only to see the ammo being depleted a bit!.. So year, ideally the field of view should be either immovable at all, or at most twice that, so you can at least always see your base.
Anyways, huge 5 stars for innovation and theme delivery (pun intended)!
@ramonvicious
I thought to make forvard accelerator stronger so rotating drone with right side could make more sense, but that change should also be introduced to the players in addition to the controlls difficulty itself, so i dropped that decision
Thanks for your feedback!

@nozomu57
Oh, yes, i somehow pasted your nickname =D
I am thinking of really make it more then just a gamejam game. Not participating action and not recieving any satisfaction from that is a problem, i believe adding some minimap plus something like cameras on each turret that you can check anytime to see your job is done well can be a thing!
And now, really thanks for your feedback =D

First time I played it with arrow keys and spend a lot of time slowly pushing myself against rocks to fix the rotation. Second time around I read the description and saw that you can rotate yourself with Q and E.
I still didn't manage to finish the game because for some reason, despite having all turrets up (seemingly?) enemies invaded my base before I could kill their hives.
The lightning indicating where enemies come from seems way too slow and too subtle. I would have loved a minimap or camera that shows turrets with nearby enemies (even when inactive) so I know what's actually happening while going on hive killing missions.
As others already said: Mood was very good. Impact Beep Sound is too loud.
With somewhat tighter controls, no rotation on the player and more depth as in different packages (different ammo = different turret), bases to capture (more points where you can take ammo from) and some kind of ingame map to get an overview of the whole battle I could imagine this as full game.
I enjoyed it. ^^

very good game. tower defense on mars. very cool.
(the menu buttons didn't work at the first time but after a while the game started.)
Hi there.
I played for a bit and tho I'm a big fun of space games, can't say that I enjoyed this one. :sob:
I think the mechanic is fairly simple and the most challenging part is controls and overall how the drone feels. I see what you was coming for, but it requires a little bit of polish. This drone doesn't look like holding that much of momentum. As well it's not changing despite of having or not the ammo box.
But I guess you are aware about this and many other ways how to improve it and you probably was running out of time (like all we did). And as well I see that it's your first time with LD, so it might be pretty unusual experience. Congrats with the result anyway :thumbsup:

Our brave new world after ChatGPT rebellion.
Good atmosphere and hum of the thrusters. I felt that the ship needed a "stabilize" function bound to spacebar or something that could kill your rotation and momentum. Also I learned very early that rotating is just a recipe for disaster and doesn't help you at all. A minimap would also have been appreciated, even the most basic form.
Now now, that's a game I'd like to beat. Music, graphics, sounds, physics - everything adds to that great atmosphere. A great entry!

The idea is fun, I really like the concept, it could be extended with a lot of interesting content ! I'm not a big fan of flight challenges (by that I mean having to manage the momentum and rotation of an object) but I really like the idea of being the supplier of a TD game !
