Nice art!
Nice art, you managed to obtain the feel of a 'Vampire Survivor' in only a week end it's impressive
And a question : is you music a jojo ref ?
I really liked this and I wanted to like it even more: I tried it 4 times and only made 1 successful delivery and one successful upgrade but died immediately after each. Maybe the author would be willing to share some tips? Regardless its really cool. Thanks!
@donamougou yare yare daze
@fabdynamic we came to the conclusion that such a plan is the most effective:
-take the first delivery
-buy weapons
-carry the next delivery or try to farm mobs
The game is fun, but it feels like you wanted really hard to do "Vampire survivors" regardless of the theme =p. Quite at the beginning though, while you are getting used to it.
Loved the game! It was very hard to survive though, I kept dying before I could manage a single delivery. Wanted to keep trying though! Cool art and music! Very nice style.
Really fun game, loved all the upgrades. I think something with the money might be off cause things were costing 10x less than the should've up until the 200 coin mark. Also my controls inverted around the 10 min mark lol but it was still very fun! Excellent job!
really cool game! was interesting but a little difficult.
Nice art and music, and an entertaining game overall! What I didn't understand: The controls were inverted twice while playing: Suddenly, W was down, D was left and so on. Is this a bug, or is it a feature? (a "poisoning" effect or something like that?) Whatever it is: I didn't like that at all! :-/
I liked the game, played it longer than most jam games. Took a few deaths to get the hang of it. All in all a good game.
That was a fun game, great job! Art and music were great but I think the balancing could use a bit of work, which is something that can be really tricky for a game jam. I would either just run away without doing anything or enemies would swarm me really quickly regardless of the number of upgrades or levels I had gotten. Levels didn't seem to have any noticeable impact that I could see. And Delivery locations were really far away at times, I'd just be walking for what felt like minutes (though probably realistically like 30 seconds) without problem before arriving at the house.
I did end up running into a lot of issues that left me confused but I can't reproduce them anymore though so it may have just been issues with my browser, after they stopped happening it was a much better experience playing. I had my controls reversing after deliveries, controls not working in general, one of the attacks going away randomly. I also didn't play in full screen at first (because of some of the initial issues) which cut off the gold amount I had so it looked like I was only getting like 14 gold per delivery when I was really getting like 140 for instance which prevented my from realizing I could buy upgrades.
Fun game, very well done!
Interesting game. It's really difficult for me to survive when there are so many enermies.
Really good idea to use the idle attack genres as people have really liked it recently! I played it a couple times and was amazed by how big the map actually was! Glad you got upgrades and pick ups in there! I think i might need a little more info on helath as sometimes when i went to buy a heart from the shop it didnt seem to give health back. Also, it didnt seem clear if i got hit by enemies or not as theres no noise, slow, flash and large chunks of hleath would sometimes dispear very quickly. Has alot of fun though, great entry!
Wow such a large map! I had fun exploring the different biomes. It was really easy to get coins so I bought everything at every house I came across. It is fun to play for longer sessions, because there is lots to upgrade and to see in this game. Well done! :D
Great entry! simple controls but engaging gamplay. I liked the music and art as well.
Like it, but it would be nice to make it more difficult, enemies almost can't hit me =P BTW i won't be able to buy hearts more than once. Nice done overall!

The Vampire Survivor side of the game really compelling; feels fast and overwhelming in a really satisfying way. The issue then is how that gameplay fits into the delivery side of the game. I feel like there isn't enough interaction there. I like how y'all used de-buffs as a way to encourage players to deliver the package, but another option was to just not pick them up. Ironically, I think a smaller more confined map would have helped here, one with choke points between the delivery points, and somehow put pressure to deliver it. Perhaps remove coins and just allow you to pick an upgrade on delivery; e.g. allow me to accept a de-buff for a while and then get a large reward for it. Also, perhaps, let me pick the de-buff, so that I can at least know what is happening... (I didn't know what a few of them did)
Great work! I think it needs little more feedback on when you get hit. But I definitely had a lot of fun playing!
Fun game, I liked that the different deliveries could give different effects, and the music was fitting. Felt a bit clunky to go back and pick up xp, and buy hp only gave me hp once (over a single game) despite buying it multiple times in multiple locations.
Really gives me Vampire survivors vibes, the game is pretty neat, a bit clunky on the attack animations and the interactions of attacking other mobs, but overall an enjoyable experience.
@jacobingalls thanks for the feedback, I don't know what some debuffs do either
Solid game! Kept me entertained for quite a bit, and the delivery mechanic feels like a logical addition to the surviver style game.
Nice twist on a Vampire Survivor-like game (Action roguelike? is that what we're calling them these days?)
The delivery theme is a clever tie in as it deals well with the "is the optimal strategy just to stand still" problem that Vampire Survivors sometimes runs into!
Successful pixelart game with survivor element.
The graphics in this game have a charming and nostalgic appeal. The pixel art style adds a sense of nostalgia and enhances the overall gameplay experience
