No page on ichi. I wanna play

nikolaj 2023-01-16 19:11

Hi, i think you need a bit more explanation for all those controls! This thing needs a manual!

Super fun to plod along and toggle all the switches though, and the art/music/sound is lovely. Just was not very clear what I was supposed to be doing with all the mushroom thingies!

vrerabek 2023-01-16 19:16

Very relaxing game, love the graphics and sound design.

This game really needs explanaition though, it's very hard to figure out what each lever does and why you should use it.

I had fun anyway!

junar55 2023-01-16 19:21

Hmm, there are controls in top right corner. Not sure why they might dissapear. Ill add the controls to the main page for now.

junar55 2023-01-16 19:27

As for explanations, it is not really needed, the biggest part of this game is figuring out exactly what each system does, and how it affects ur gameplay. Game wont be easy at the start :)

I love it. Reminds me of Machinarium. Beautiful and relaxing. My favourite Extra entry so far.

senso 2023-01-17 19:29

Yea this is so cool 😎 love your art and this gameplay is (arma inspired?) so nice 👍

ditam 2023-01-17 19:49

A gorgeous, unique art style, and it plays very smoothly too. One of my favourite takes on the theme this time around: a complex machine made for one purpose, to harvest. And you're not harvesting wheat or anything recognizable, just some abstract thingies, don't worry about, it's all for the mythical, capital-H Harvest.

Good call on moving to Extra to give the game the time it needed, because the result is a gem. Excellent game, well done!

Using the arm to move rocks was a bit annoying (and I regularly missed pests while operating it), but on second thought, even trying to vacuum up boulders fit this retro-futuristic aesthetic perfectly.

junar55 2023-01-17 19:55

You can turn off and on the Engine, for example for duration of operating the Arm :)

Love the art style and the pest sound effects. Took me a second to pick up what all the little interaction buttons did but really enjoyed it when I got in the rhythm of it

danmerey 2023-01-17 20:35

Nice art and idea, but too complicated gameplay and the lack of step-by-step tutorial is crucial. I'd prefer controlling such a machine with the mouse intead of platformer-character / or multiplayer. This can be developed into something nice, although it needs a lot of work with the UX / controls / level design and good tutorial.

I like it so much! One of the best things about it, is that it has no timer or anything like that. If I shut down the engine it just chills! I also like the twist with the robot arm! And the mess I can do with the stones (by the way the stones can get stuck inside the machine, which is fine I guess but they will be hidden behind the interior layer) I thought the level might be a loop and it would be a good Idea to carry all the stones ontop of my machine... :D I love that I can leave the vehicle. Love the music and sound affects as well as the drawings! If you climb up the shroom tube you can get stuck wierdly... although I managed to get out all the time. I would love to be able to ring the bell by my self! Another player with arrow keys and enter or something like that would be cool! Did not havest the 10k or what it was yet but who knows maybe I will continue for some hours :DScreenshot 2023-01-17 at 20.47.06.png

junar55 2023-01-17 21:31

Haha, i have done multiple testing on "rock in cargo" failure point, thought ive expanded the rocks enough for it to not happen anymore xD Thanks for playing and goodluck in reaching the million :)

sephowepho 2023-01-17 21:32

Really really nice, I love the idea of this! Something about controlling a huge piece of machinery through multiple buttons and levers, keeping your eye out for pests and moving rocks out of the way with your giant vacuum clearner, regulating your pressure and fuel, *it feels like I'm actually in control of a machine, rather than being the machine,* which is something I get a lot with games like this. Other than that, I really hate how much the pests can destroy your mushrooms -- I had gotten to about 96 shrooms and I accidentally fell out of reach of the pest catcher button, while I ran into a giant mushroom and got bombarded with a swarm of them. I was left with about six or seven.

But I liked it a lot! Great job, I had a fun time! :beers:

klaus-peter 2023-01-17 23:57

end.png Well that took... very long. But I guess that means I liked it xD The beginning was definitely a bit confusing because it wasn't that obvious what the 7 different buttons and levers were for but once I got into it, it was such a rewarding activity to collect and deliver the mushrooms.

I really like the graphics. The game is simple and fits the theme beautifully. Keep it up.

jeremyfa 2023-01-18 18:08

The game is seriously beautiful, and the mechanics are also very well executed. That's a solid entry and I love it! My only feedback would be that the game would be easier to understand if it was split into several levels, starting very minimal and simple, with only a single button that you can switch between 2 states, then getting on a second level with an additional challenge (new elements to harvest or not to harvest, a second button that does something new on the machine etc...). But obviously that would require a lot more work that probably wouldn't fit in a JAM time frame. For a post-jam version however? That would be cool!! Outstanding work, well done!

vivyhasadream 2023-01-19 18:37

It reminds me of the game *love in a dangerous spacetime*. I agree with others that you need a better instruction/tutorials. The texts could be larger to be seen. I'm sure it's very playful if player could understand the process of the shrum harvesting. After all, it's quite some work to put everything together already. Good job!

bastienre4 2023-01-20 10:44

Really unique concept, I like it. The graphics are amazing too! Good job!

digital-bacon 2023-01-21 12:51

I loved this. The art is just beautiful, and the music complements it perfectly. Gameplay is really fresh. Excellent game!

hayricakir 2023-01-23 11:43

One of the best entries I have played so far. Art, audio, gameplay.. Everything is so great. Good job mate!

ginxel 2023-01-23 17:22

Absolutely incredible art!

edgeboyo 2023-01-24 03:37

Amazing art for such a turnaround time. It's honestly amazing and I wish I could play it with someone else as well, because this would seem perfect for coop

la-bread 2023-01-24 05:36

really nice art wise and the inverse kinematics on the vacuum was cool. A tutorial or boiled down explanation where each aspect is introduced one at a time would be a great addition for a post-jam version though, I found myself lost even with the manual.

pixelstuff 2023-01-25 09:41

Best entry i play so far, i love the idea and the gameplay, and the fact that it's hard to manage all the ship at once
