This is fantastic!!! ive been playing it for.... TOO long now, high score is something like 137. I wish there was light music, or even better might be just ambient farm sounds. Very addicting.

Addicting !
Played for quite a bit, tried to crack 200 points, but it seems impossible. It is too reliant on good card draw, since if you don't draw 1's there is no way to prevent losing. I feel like baskets shouldn't be tied to a number, they feel very restrictive and lifting that restriction would allow them to be a more reliable way to remove cards from the board again. Drawing an "8" basket, when my highest number on the board is 6, feels like a very cruel joke.
Otherwise, very excellent!
this is extremely good. played several runs, the highest i got was something in the 130s. addictive. art is lovely, sounds are very nice. i do also think it's very luck-dependent, but not to the point where it's crazy frustrating, something a balancing change could make better probably. really great stuff :)
this is my favorite game!!! beautiful sounds, nice graphics, really really fun game play. I scored 103 :) I will come back and replay this one thanks!
This was so incredibly fun! The art style and the SFX are also amazing, but the gameplay and getting bonuses felt so good. It took a while for me to fully grasp what the combinations of cards were doing but once it clicked I was blown away by the possibilities. Just got 117, gonna try again now that I understand what I have to do!
Edit: Managed to hit 188 but RNG killed me giving me 7s and 8s. Still, amazing game!
I succeed to do 184. After that it became hard with those 8s.
The game is really addictive. It got a 2048/Tetris kind of addiction. I'm not sure I can make a better compliment^^.
The sfx is brillant.
Good job !
Amazing stuff! I couldn't get far past 100, but it's very hard to put down. I keep wanting just one more go. The little string pluck sounds and the nice art give it a great feel too :D I wish there were a few special cards that you could save for when you get in a tight spot, since I felt like quite often I'd get a board filled with 1s but unable to get rid of them. But a really enjoyable game. Well done!
Fun! This is a really nice relaxing puzzler. Managed to get a score of 76 on my second run once I figured out how it works. Like all the little instrument sounds. Very satisfying :)
An excellent game, I got to 178. Rules are easy to understand, yet there's substantial strategy involved.
Fun game I suspect the game is random as unless I can combine adjacent cards/plants then there was a point where there was no way to win.
It should be possible to build a completable deck of cards if you run the logic over the card deck.
Also could adjacent matching cards auto cascade or maybe the wildcard does not need a number match and will match to the most cards around it that have a matching number or the card it is dropped onto?
This is great. Easy to understand mechanics. 5/5 sounds. Just what it needs to be. Aside from some post jam balancing
This is really good! There's not really much else to say about it... I suppose there's room for a little bit more polish, like maybe a bit more impact when placing a card or when harvesting, but honestly the core gameplay is so fundamentally neat and well-realised (and well-balanced for a jam game!) that it's very fun as it is.
Great game! Just amazing, polished and almost ready to publish as a commercial hyper casual release. would have been nice to have some music there and maybe a bit more mechanics but still, playable and nice game. Great job!
@leokrechmer Oh man that hurts a little hehe, I don't really like "casual" games and we were actually aiming for something a bit more complex, but we were running out of time so we cut most of the special stuff and ended up with the bare minimum T.T still, thanks for the nice words xD.
Impressive game concept, haven’t seen this before. Do love pixel art :) and the card shake effects! Good game had to play more times because you feel like you can do better every time . Before you know it your 20 min in.
Really nice idea! I loved the music and the graphics!

I liked how the various mouseover sounds make up for the lack of a soundtrack :)
One thing that seems to be either a bug on the game or on the rules: it is stated that "If you plant a veggie next to a watered border, the card’s value increases by 1 for each side touching water", but this implies that on the top left corner the value would increase by 2 (as there's 2 sides touching water) but instead it only increases by one.
I know it's probably hard to define it properly but I wish there were some kind of chaining (for example, you plant a 3 near some 3s, then we reap those 3s and they become 2s; then if these 2s are touching *other* 2s, reap them and they become 1s, and so on)
Edit: forgot to screenshot but I just got a score of 152 :)
Really Fun and addicting!
After two runs (180ish), I'm not sure if the card distribution gets a bit icky later on, or I haven't figured out a higher order (ordering) strategy. Either way, a really compelling core mechanic.
Okay the core mechanics are fun I just noticed a problem with the higher numbers mathematically if you get an 8 it will take at least 9 spaces to clear assuming you get them all in a row. (Very unlikely.) Now it was fun, but I think if you are going to go that high of numbers on your cards you will need more spaces or some way to remove more than one at a time from them. As it is right now if you get a 7 of pumpkins and a 7 of cabbage you probably lose space if all three show up to almost always loose space. 8s are even worse and I never saw a 9 but they would almost always lose you space unless you were very lucky and only one showed up. I think if you make 6 or 5 the highest number with the 30 spaces it might work better but I'm not a mathematician this is just my guess.
Okay now that that is out of the way...I liked the game it is fun the water making them higher value is a nice mechanic. The sound is fab. Love the pixel art. Yeah just the math thing. Also, space thing is only a problem if you don't want to have a "wall of doom" in your game if you want the player to lose at some point then it is fine. I personally find it a bit annoying if the game makes me lose but maybe that is just me.
All in all, a fun little game as long as you don't notice that probability is going to make you lose. Yip yap.
Very cozy and relaxing, well done! I probably spent the most time on this out of all the entries I've tried. My high score was only ~~118~~ 148, which feels low reading the other comments. I had fun nonetheless.
I too have made a minimalistic grid-based harvest puzzler that you might find a bit similar, but I went much more abstract.
Loved the game! Lovely aesthetics, and I liked the different tones on different numbers. It seems a balanced and challenging too! Nice work.
