Cool looking game - I like the concept and artwork. I had a bit of trouble figuring out when I could move and when I couldn't - I think there might have been some player attributes at the bottom of the screen (I can see them at the start, then they scroll out of view) telling me whether I had the energy to move.

Thanks for comments! It's a good idea to show them in the bottom.(Now when you send actions more than 10s totally, it will wait until next round to act which will show in the very top of the window when scrolling down.)

senso 2022-10-03 10:16

The embed window size is not correct. the bottem moves are cut off. Make a comment about it or remove because its a fun game if you figure that out. Some sound would be nice :)

Ok enough with the tips a complaining ... you made a good game !

shuimen 2022-10-03 13:22

Well, the embed rule restrict the size of game. Maybe the itch address below(also html play) will be better! Im trying to solve it in future update! Thanks for the comment!

It's a good concept, I was a bit confused at first but I got it eventually. Good work.

...Megaman Battle Network?

james-joubert 2022-10-05 15:07

I love command based games like these. Really nicely done.

I was confused at first, because the window size didn't work well. But after playing on itch I got the hang of things.

Some things were a bit confusing. Like I still don't understand why each move says '2', when it only seems to do this action once, and it doesn't decrease after being used. Protecting the batteries also means that you mostly need to stay in the same spot. I like the idea of the game though!

shuimen 2022-10-05 17:00

@sheepolution Thanks for comment! The number means time the action takes. Each turn every robot has only 10 seconds to do actions. The move action takes 2, while u can only send 8 seconds this-turn-action to your robot.

Cool idea and I liked the execution. Played for a while. I especially enjoyed having to take risks to get more actions it kept things tense.

Graphics did the job and I thought the camera moving up and down to highlight actions or the field was cool.

Would have loved some sound :)

robowarrior1982 2022-10-06 15:16

The concept is interesting and maybe improve in a better version. More sound and feedback can increase easily the mood of the game. There are responsive problem in the embed version, icons disappear in the bottom and that can be good to reset the action after each 10 sec automatically (void the icon). This is a good prototype in 48h, the idea is clear and work fine.

lustdante 2022-10-06 15:16

Great entry! I like the Megaman Network style arena/programming gimmick. I do think 10 seconds is too short to properly come up with optimal strategy (or my brain is slow)

pvg 2022-10-06 15:19

Action programming is an interesting genre, and I love the inspiration from board games. I had some trouble with the web build, though: the bottom options of my menu kept getting pushed out of the interactable area.

shuimen 2022-10-06 15:28

@robowarrior1982 @lustdante @pvg Thanks for comments! The embed version has some problem about resolution, so it's better to play in itch version. Sorry for no sound and bad presentation cause of 48h limit. Thanks for your playing!

harmadillo 2022-10-06 17:42

Interesting game. Setting the action queue for your robot was good but having the options felt limited, especially the 1 move in each direction. The execution of the actions and the turn order could be made clearer.

soultie 2022-10-06 19:39

I like the color scheme that you used. The graphics were cool, but I found the game a little confusing. If you decide to keep working on this, maybe add a user-friendly tutorial?

fgamer99 2022-10-06 20:05

Even though the art is quite simple, i like it. As others sayed before, it is a bit hard to get into but once you figure it out, it can be a fun game for a bit. Good work.

caeonosphere 2022-10-07 02:59

Cool idea, kind of a mix between a programming puzzle game and an action game. You should keep exploring this! Making decisions under time pressure like this can be fun.

shuimen 2022-10-07 05:07

@harmadillo @soultie @fgamer99 @caeonosphere Thanks for your comments! The turn order is based on each action robots take and even a property of "act speed" to decide order when the left time is the same. But it's no time to draw some clearer UI in 48h. :( Thanks for your playing!

sirdorius 2022-10-07 23:40

Could be a cool concept, but it needs more balancing. Can't really do anything if I can only attack once per turn, enemies have 3 lives each and can move to the battery in 2-3 turns. Not sure how this is supposed to work.

projectcolorball 2022-10-11 12:17

b站来的,好厉害啊。。。

automatonvx 2022-10-12 11:10

I like the idea (I think) and the art style is minimal but nice, just very confused about what was going on. I didn't feel like I had much of a chance against the other robots, sooner or later they would wander over and get my battery.

darzu 2022-10-20 17:43

I tried for a while, but I couldn't figure out the controls. Sometimes I would click move actions and then they wouldn't happen? Also, the game scrolled in a weird way were I could no longer access the bottom row if actions. Nice concept though!
