I like the direction this game is headed. It's a little hard to plan your move without knowing the order in which the characters will act, but the system overall feels solid. Like the simple design and winter aesthetic!
I really liked the animations of the players. At first I didn't understand that you hade to click on them at their feet to assign their moves. Once I figured it out I had no trouble understanding the icons or playing the game. Nice entry, it was fun to play, thank you for making it!
A little bit confusing to me to try to get working but I really appreciate the uncluttered design and look-and-feel. Would have enjoyed some audio but that's always a tough one in a game jam situation.
Beautiful looking game. Loved the aesthetic. I had a hard time knowing where to click, maybe an in-game cursor could help. Perhaps a tutorial that happens in the game scene? I struggled to make progress. Great job!
Would probably work a lot better with a touch screen, drawing lines with a mouse was a bit clunky. I really like the idea though and the visuals are really pretty!
Cool game, only problem was it was very confusing where I have to drag the attack. There is a red x in front of the enemy and a red circle under them, I would allow the player to drag to either.
Other than that it was a really fun little strategy game
Cool idea and a lovely art style, had fun with it.
Missed a few moves due to not quite getting the click and drag in the right place. Could maybe do with a way of bringing the player's attention to when the combat phase moves into the planning phase so they aren't losing any of their 10 seconds to see if any more moves are taking place.
Otherwise a solid jam game!
The concept becomes clear quite quickly after the first run. I didn't manage to reach wave 4. Very nice game, I find that I don't waste my 10 seconds in thinking but more in assigning actions. Maybe because I don't know what the enemies will do next
This is an interesting concept ! Well done.
Incredible art, well done! Concept is interesting too. Overall everything looks well polished. But you need tutorial in the game
Looks almost perfect, except aim control - to hard to do clear drag and drop. At all - nice concept and perfect match to theme.
Yeah, the aesthetic is good, it's a good concept though it's hard to implement a good rpg battle mechanic in only a few days, It would be nice if you could replenish your troops the moment you lose just one then it's all over. Also some sound would be nice. Good job.
Like many other, was finding it difficult to aim. I really like this style of art! Well done
I really liked the idea. Like others said the aiming was hard and the start of the timer was pretty difficult to notice
Really good game, nice clean visual style. Dragging the arrows was a bit unreliable though, it very often failed to register my move, but other than that great work!
Nice game :) The idea is good but it was quite confusing and hard at first. Nice work
Nice project. Not always the cursor attaches to the buttons so sometimes it's frustrating, that you want to make a move and ending up not doing anything.
And I wish there were music. But in general it's good!
I really like the art design. I wish it had music. Clicking on the characters is a little weird because it only works when you click on the shape they are standing on. I would love if you added music and sound effects. Good job.
really fun! i quickly got addicted to the gameplay loop. i liked how you kept the graphics simple but still aesthetic and really focused on the flow of the game. nice job!
Cool game, I really like the idea. The simple aesthetic was clean and a good choice :)
Some bugs I found: - One enemy has an attack with no animation (I think it's the wizard) - One of my characters died from this mysterious attack, and my turn ended right there (even though I had still one attack queued with another)
Some UX stuff that would have added to clarity: - Not showing the heal option when it was not possible - Add a visual indication for the self-healing command in the preparation phase (sometimes I wasn't sure I clicked for it) - Choosing between lighting up the enemy feet, showing the red cross or having both in the same place when preparing to attack (it was hard to tell how to play at first, and even when I understood, this double visual indication not lined up got me confused a lot where I had to finish the dragging)
As for stuff that could add to the game if you want to work more on it in the future and deepen the strategic aspect : - a way to see what enemies are going to do next turn - showing the next turn order
It was super cool to play nonetheless (as you can see I had lots of things to say ahah :D)
Cool stuff, dude. I like this submission from style. The controls are slightly off to be honest, you have to be really precise to give a command (which isn't working well with the time pressure). But overall I do like the entry, nice one!
The environment and the models are really great. I had a bit of trouble understanding the different type of actions and what to do at first. But these all can be improved. Well done!
