Didn't think it would be challenging, but it actually gets pretty tough! You can glitch out through the sides and bottom of the can for extra space XD

As an expert in hoarding "trash", I approve of this game. Really creative how you conveyed the message through the levels that I pretty much got the gist of it even before seeing the message at the end.
Love this, surprisingly fun and love the art. Found some physics bugs that occasionally had my trash exploding from the can (which luckily were usually more entertaining than frustrating!) Really clever, great job!
This is really cool! Never thought picking up trash could be so zen.
Played a bunch of levels and had a good time until I think I accidentally glitched a garbage bag out of the map and couldn't proceed.
I really like the artstyle by the way, it's a nice blend of stylized and realistic.
Nice game! really liked the progression, with how quickly the levels escalate. The message at the end is nice too!
one very minor nit - pretty sure bananas are bio-degradable ;p
So good omg ! I had so much fun ! Really clever game, I loved the art too, and the general mood, I loved everything basically.Well done !
Fun little game! Got as far as the yellow skip, I think an item must have bounced off screen or something because I had everything lifted off the floor but it didn't go to the next level. Nice graphics and an interesting physics-based game. :)
damn this game is fun and the concept is hilarious.
I enjoyed this entry! The graphics were quite nice and fit the game. The music was subtle but had a certain intensity. The levels built up well and had a great variety. It went somewhere and told a story which is impressive for the simplicity of it. I love to see developers using the artform of games to convey a message.
I did think it was strange at first that you could move the trash through the bottom and sides. That was annoying and I started to avoid it. It did add to the ways you could stack and I began to leverage it later so maybe not a bad thing in the end. Design choice.
Great job making a fun game with a message in 48 hours!
Loved it ! only problem was objects clipping into the walls
Nice implementation of the game, it offers some challenge and is actually fun to play, optimizing the way things are put inside the trashcan!
The visuals are really cool and you created quite a few different items. The music and sound effects are really nice too.
I think you should spend more time to make the objectives more clear. Of course the goal of the game is pretty clear, but sometimes it didn't start the countdown for a reason that I didn't understand. So I tried to move things around a bit, and then the timer started. Was it a bug or was it too high in the first place? I don't know...
The idea of telling the player how to start playing using the same mechanic as the one that will be used in the game is awesome!
Very good for a first entry, nice job!
What a great little gem! The art direction and sound fit the game very well. I love how simple and original the idea is, and how well it fits the theme. The message is a powerful one, too, and I really hope that in real life our efforts to take care of the environment do more than just delay the inevitable... Also, I agree with @rolly: the "start game" view being a simple tutorial-like level is great design.
Relatable game, I have these piles of trash near my place. Cool music. Not sure if glitching through the dumpsters is intentional, but it does help. Also I think it may be possible for the trash to get lost off-screen and there is no way to restart the level. If I would add anything to the game, then maybe rotation of the trash you are holding and ability to throw it. Good game overall, congrats on your first Ludum Dare entry!
What a creative concept! I knew all those years playing Tetris were not wasted! Apart from some issues with collisions, the game plays well and the graphics and audio are really good. Just as @stasm and @rolly say, the implementation of the tutorial is effective and elegant.
Kudos on your first submission!
Nice and simple gameplay with a nice story. The art style is fitting and the music helps to set the mood really well. I agree with the others saying that the tutorial works well. I had some physics glitches that looked weird but I was lucky enough to avoid any game.breaking ones. Great job, I really enjoyed it!
Cool game! Congrats on finishing your first LD! I liked the art, the simplicity, and the tutorial/menu hybrid. I think a few tweaks would go a long way to making it feel even better to play. The biggest one would be not allowing the player to drag trash up through the bottom/sides of the bin, which is too disruptive of the contents and is easily to do accidentally.
It might also be fun to keep the momentum the trash has when the player releases it. Then, you could fling it into the can and try to go fast... But maybe that ends up being a different game.
Either way, nice work!
Hey, that was a nice game, and congratulations on your first LD! It was kind of fun, although it was a bit too... "glitchy"? for me, it really bothered me when suddenly everything would jump, or I couldn't grab something or I accidentally made everything fall... but I mean, aside from that, it was pretty good, and I really liked the message. Graphics were nice, and music and sound made the game feel better. Overall, those glitches bothered me, but nonetheless a great entry. Congratulations!
