A very well made and polished game, I was pretty much impressed by every aspect of it. I enjoyed the music and the theme, the dialogue was pretty funny, and the gameplay loop is simple but satisfying. Not too much in the way of any challenge, and the theme doesn't feel too reflected in the gameplay itself, the thematic connection is all told through the dialogue. That aside I really enjoyed this short little game.
REALLY liked this one - I'm super impressed by the interplay between the cute art style combined with the neat story and wacky control mechanics.

Your game is very fun and innovative. Making it clib the ladder is difficult but enjoyable.

I enjoyed this one! There was more content than I was initially expecting, and the premise was adorable and wrapped itself up very nicely, if not a bit abruptly (which is hardly points against a game made by one person in 3 days). I feel like there was a lot of room for additional mechanics that the game never got a chance to explore, too... the only thing you have to do to win is collect all of the pickups, but I had a lot of fun toppling the wizards and townspeople manually with my limited abilities. All things considered, very nice work!

Hello! I can't tell how the game is because I just can't do anything. I tried every touches of my keyboard and nothing except an explosion.
@carlos-murillo I had intended for the gameplay loop of "collecting power-ups to delay you exploding" to be my mechanical presentation of the theme, but I think the emphasis wasn't presented in the game well, since they also make you explode more powerfully. I tried to design some levels to emphasize picking them up, but overall I wanted to make the game easy to try out, which prevented me from putting too fine a point on it.
@sagiii sorry to hear that, you should be able to move around with the WASD keys and the spacebar. If you're playing on Mac or Linux, please let me know, I wasn't able to test those builds myself.
Thanks to everyone else for your feedback! I'll be going through and playing your games as well when I can!

Very interesting character movement that fits well with the game! Very unique concept and I loved the wholesome story! Great job!
Took me a while to figure out how to win, collecting powerups, but when I did it started being really fun

The Atlus style difficulty curve was in full effect with the first level being the hardest. Didn't get it at first when I kept clicking and exploding but I figured it outβyou press the move keys to move. Pretty cool aesthetics and audio. The cutscenes and dialogue really tied the mood together too.

A baby demon that explodes? Does that make it a... baby boomer?! πΆππ
I like that there was a bit of a moral message in here as well. Nice writing!

I really like the physics of the explosions
Hilarious game! I totally laughed out loud at the dialog between the Demon and Clark haha! :D
One suggestion for improvement: make the explosion SFX more BOOM, the pop doesn't do the havok justice >:)
Nah the pop was nice;) There just could be more sounds overall. The music is pure satan, nice. And the boxes for characters man... nice xD Overall You could make some enhancements, but when I think about it it doesn't really hurt experience. I didn't find the immediate restart button and that castle level about climbing up was a bit annoying without it - maybe thats the biggest thing lacking. A good idea would be to show all locations of bombs before level start (or some radar), but like i said it was okay without it. And maybe in a fuller game it would be better to be able to go boom multiple times. The strategy element is kinda missed when You just collect all bombs and whole level blows up anyway. Big plus for satan! Ah and another plus that the game was running fine in HTML on my potato PC (i5-2520M) - though not on full screen obviously.
Really loved watching your post-mortem. The idea of delaying the inevitable being offsetting something as it becomes stronger was something I'd really not even considered during ideation, super inventive implementation. Funny story, loved how everything controlled as well. Only disappointment was that the "End" screen wasn't an explosion sandbox cos that pop sound is SUPER satisfying
Nice game! I liked the Monkeyball-esque way of controlling things. Great writing and overall gameplay. I found it was a bit tedious that if you make one mistake you have to start the whole level over, and I also felt the curve was a bit weird (level 2 was easier than level 1) but overall I had a great time.
your game is very suitable for this topic, I like the design and the mechanics of the game surprised me, great game
I love the art style; it reminds me of a genre of Neo-Retro games.
Gameplay was fun, and comedic. Overall, pretty good
This was fun! π I like the punny humour of the writing and the nonsense of the gameplay. Music too. Lovely singing. Is stuff tied to FPS or something? On web everything was really sensitive but the native download played fine. I see the theme is more in the story than in the mechanics on this one but I think you did that okay~ Bet you had fun making this!
@ava-skoog Could be FPS, I have definitely noticed the web player seems to be more finnicky in general across different browsers/machines. Also I did a bad job of emphasizing it, but the countdown to explosion you have in gameplay is delayed by power-ups you pick up. That's where the theme was meant to be mechanically.
Oh, yeah, that's true!
This game is hilarious but i'm finding it to be extremely hard. I really like the shredding gnar riff and the growling, and the out of control rolling for the main character. Congratulations. It's EVIL KATAMARI
