Sometimes there's a game that I would love to watch played by someone with real skill at it.
I had my doubts about this system, figuring it would be klunky to use, but not only did I take to it right away, there were times that I hit a smooth series of movements and felt some real thrill of fun.
I made a verbal sound *whoo* at one point.
Congratulations on the very rare accomplishment of making something that's fun to play even if it is limited in scope.
Played and ABSOLUTELY loved it! Very simple concept, reminds me a bit of Jump King and Getting over It, but with an excellent twist, this mechanics gives space for a lot of crazy tricks! If i have to nitpick, the movement of the swing can be a little smoother, but really, amazing entry!

Oh boy it's great !(^o^) My best attempt got got when I grabbed a falling barrel instead of a platform (^^"). Love the art, concept and music (^w^) Toasted.JPG

I tried to run the WebGL version, and the performance made the game pretty unplayable. Luckily, it worked much better with the Windows version.
It took a bit to get the controls, and even after I got into the rhythm of it a few times, I found it difficult to get back into it. Music was excellent. Was not bad though, with some iteration on the control feel I think it could be a neat platformer.

@zinnin Thanks for playing the game. We actually found a critical error with our character controller after your comment, so we quickly fixed that in the newest build. Now the experience should be more satisfying than before.

"That looks like fun!", i exclaimed, before I tried to get higher and higher in that blasted reactor. And fun it was.
Great game! Once I got a hang of the controls, it felt great to swing my way up. The lava gave a good sense of urgency. The starting platform looked too good, great graphics over all. I was quite pleased how forgiving the grapple hook was. My first click I tried to click across the map and realized it was more of an arm than a rope, but I found I could usually reach what I expected to.
Well done!
Good job. This is game was very entertaining.
Got the hang of this one immediately. Good choice of music and sound effects. Very fun!
A fun, unique idea! I absolutely suck at this, but still enjoyed myself. It definitely made me feel "unstable", in a good way.
Excellent art, solid controls (even if my panicked brain couldn't totally grasp them when being pursued by lava), and awesome music. Nice job, team!
I mouse with left hand, so my thumb is *not* on Space. And I *still* loved the game, which goes to prove it's good! Oh, and great game name!

@martin-magni Hey, we'll throw some additional keybinds in the post jam. What do you like to use for jumping typically?
the core mechanics are on point! i think you could release it on ios/android and make some c$sh!
Wow I really liked this game. The wrench was a cool way to do a grappling hook. The controls felt really good and I like how there was a portion of the game to let you get used to playing before the lava started rising. WebGL worked great for me. The graphics style was really nice and liked the depth to the level design. Once I accidently hooked on to the arrow and it pulled me up I learned organically that the arrows were not just pointing the direction I needed to travel. Good Work!
Hard game yet very fun. Amazing graphics and 3d models, a very polished entry here with a proper theme usage. Only downside is that swing with A/D keys is a little buggy sometimes.

This is one of my favorite games of the jam so far! I thought it was really smart that you gave the user the bottom part of the reactor to get used to the controls before having the lava enter the picture. It gave me time to get comfortable with the controls without a lot of frustrating deaths and retries, and it led to a better flow when having to escape the lava. The visuals and music were also really nice and everything came together well. Really nice job!
