Simple, but the fun kind of simple! I really like how the shifting pillars look and it really evokes the feeling of a landslide. The platforming was tight, and i think that with some adjustments this could be an awesome arcadey/mobile title
Great game

Good solid platforming. I got a score of 262. If there's some way to tell where the rocks are gonna fall, I don't know what it is.

Simple but effective, also I love how cute the goat is and the fluidity of the animation was great.
an incredibly impressive game for pico-8. very simple yet incredibly enjoyable game! well done!
Woow great idea and implementation! very simple mechanics yet very challenging and fun!
2 problems i had > rocks fall too fast > land pieces become too high and basically killing me off
but i love how simple of an idea it is!

Would make a nice mobile game! It might just be me but I think the falling rocks should have an indicator beforehand. Anyways good one!

Cool game, and a cool way to make an 'unstable' platformer! I think it's weighted a little too far towards luck in terms of getting good pillar placement, and it's very hard to dodge any incoming rocks- but still a fun little game!
Nice spin on the platformer/endless runner genre! Haven't seen anything exactly like this before. Everything works well, the pixel art is cute, it feels good to play, and it sounds good. Only real feedback I can give is that the falling rocks move pretty fast so it's hard to react in time to do anything about them, which makes it feel pretty luck-based when you die to one; but maybe I'm just getting old and my reaction time sucks now. Anyway, fantastic job!
Great game! (highscore 448). I think it feels pretty balanced (maybe a little advanced warning for the rocks would be nice) and seems really smooth. Mood was also top notch. Everything just fits together. This would be super fun on the switch or something. Feels like it has a ton of depth and replay-ability for something so simple!
Really liked this game. Seems like it would be a good mobile game! Nice job.

@spudboy @agameortwo @polymathld @hacksawunit @aquilart @potkirland and everyone else, thank you for playing and leaving a comment! I know and agree, the biggest thing missing from the game is more warning and indication for where the rocks will fall, I ran out of time! I spent so long tuning the way the ground moves and fighting last minute bugs. For what it's worth, the rocks will only potentially fall in the same three places--just watch out at the top of the slope!
@reef I see! While an indicator would have been nice knowing it's in the same three spots definitely helps! (Maybe you could add it to the description if you think it would improve the gameplay experience?)

The goat is really cool! The controls work good. I did feel bad for him when the rock hit him!

@hacksawunit thanks, that's a fine suggestion. The game is definitely too hard if the player doesn't realize that

Okay came back to this and marked up my screen with the positions of the boulders and was able to get 892
One of the few games I had fun while playing it. good job!

@agameortwo That's a great score! I tried to make sure it never becomes impossible, but it does become very difficult.
I finished with 344. Simple but fun gameplay. And best goat pixel art I've ever seen.

Really charming game. Cool take on the theme, cute presentation, and any game with a goat player character instantly gets bonus points.
I'll agree with the sentiment that it's maybe a bit too luck-based - sometimes you just get dealt a losing situation when a pillar in front of you quickly shoots up really high. As I'm thinking over what I would change in the pillar behaviour, I realize it's not a completely staightforward problem to solve, so I can't really fault you for the current implementation.

Very nice game!! The pixel graphics are simplistic but appealing and the controls feel responsive. I think the difficulty feels a little unfair at times - sometimes rocks fall on me before I can react and sometimes I get stuck in a pit I can't jump out of - but overall I really enjoyed this entry! My high score was 450
It's beautiful and fun and feels really well polished. You made the controls feel good and juicy, just as others have said the falling rocks are too fast to dodge, either them falling slower or having some indication like a shadow of where they are going to fall would really help. Great job!

I liked the graphics and the controls felt really solid. A played through a few times and felt like the random block movement made it impossible to get past a few parts. The game also felt a little lonely without powerups. A powerup as simple as an extra jump would go a long way.
I do love PICO-8 submissions though, so thanks for submitting another one!
Absolutely love the aesthetics and interpretation of the theme. Maybe some kind of warning symbol where rocks were going to fall would've been nice. Different types of obstacles would've been cool too. The game felt a little monotonous after playing for a while. Other than that, solid submission.

Not too much to say, very nice and simple game, could do really good as a mobile release. Nice work :-)

I like the music, and the goat is cute. The game's controls are smooth, and they feel right.
I found avoiding the falling rocks to be somewhat difficult.
I love the visual style. The goat on a mountain setting and these wavey platforms is super cool. Jumping and moving feel really good. I occasionally died in ways that felt unfair, like a platform outgrowing my jump height, but maybe it's just a mix a low skill and bad luck?
Great entry overall! Good job!
