It was a little bugged, but i loved the crazy good visuals.
Great game, I liked the graphics and the surreal mood. This has a lot of potential to become a full-blown game.
Whooa!! Great graphic! I really love atmosphere and aesthetic! Good job guys!
Very suitable for the theme of the competition, where you discover the world through solving puzzles. The puzzles themselves are pretty fun. And of course, great graphic!
It looks stunning, I'm really fond of the art style. <3 Also what a great title for a game!
This is absolutely gorgeous. Many moments in the game had me smiling, it's full of poetry and has an amazing aesthetics. Great job!
really cool graphics
Incredible atmosphere and an intriguing mechanical concept. Had some trouble with the movement stuttering making me nauseous so had to stop playing but would definitely love to see more.
Amazing graphics and mechanics. Not sure if something was wrong with my audio but I could imagine how immersive the audio would be with such a gameplay. beautiful concept!
The game looks fantastic and very interesting to explore, I loved it.
Visual aspect's top tier. The transition between day night and weathers is very cool, I also like how the world pop into existence. However, very little direction is given where I'm just mindlessly pressing everything on the map. Maybe I'm missing something but that's how I feel.
After opening the first door, I couldn't figure out where to go or what to do next. The game looks really beautiful and I would like to review it, but I don't know how to proceed. Am I missing something or perhaps it is a bug?
Thanks everyone for all your comments ! We are very happy you liked some aspects of our small game despite some bugs and lack of directions. @eharp really sorry about that, we are working on a post jam version, hopefully it will be fixed ! @heimy-spiel we sadly didn't have time to add audio to the game, it might get added in the post jam version. Thanks a lot for your comment, we are glad you liked it :) @foopy yes we know the game lacks feedbacks about interactive objects and direction, sorry about that, we hope you still had some fun. We're very happy you liked the visuals ! :D @microchasm you could try using the door again ;)
@sirkovitch Yup, I was just being an idiot. I did think that I'd tried the door, but I guess not. I do think that the communication to the player in the game could be improved if the game were to be continued in the future. Visuals are awesome; as a 3D modeler myself, I see this type of game and I wish I'd made it myself. The sketch feel makes it seem like a memory. The moving foliage and trees add a lot to the experience, and the use of light is really nice. The light in the water becoming the lamppost light-- I love that stuff.
Those were some beautiful visuals! I guess the music was either not working for me (or not there) but this has the potential for being a great immersive, thematic experience.
Movement is so frustrating, it's almost impossible to play
Amazing game, loved it, congratulation!
Amazing graphics!
This game looks amazing from the images, I'd really like to play it, but sadly there is no Linux or web version :/
See: * https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/39/legendary-space-space-space/please-export-for-web-andor-linux * https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/legendary-orbit-golf/publish-for-web
Thanks for the interest @pschichtel ! I've added a linux version. I can't test it, so I hope it will work and run well, don't hesitate to notify me if it doesn't ! Sadly it is based on the post-jam version, so **please do not rate our game based on the linux version**, it does not represent the work we were able to achieve during the jam. We would still be very happy if you are able to play it without rating :) We can't make a web version as we worked with Unity HDRP and it doesn't work well with html :(
The art is definetely outstanding. All the visual effects you managed to implement are really impressive. But yeah, the walking mechanic felt kind of clumsy. I also missed some kind of indication that things could be interacted with. I mean maybe this is the point of a puzzle game, but I was running around for quiet a while with no idea what to do or where even to look next...
This is SO beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow, really nice game ! The reveal effect with the white background is very beautiful :)
This is such a amazing game, please make a full game and publish it with a more elaborate story. I loved everything about it but maybe take a look at making some collissions that are a little more smooth so that you dont stick to objects the player model collides with. That being said such a gg, I'd love to see this game or something similar on steam or elsewhere!
It... Wow It's ... Just... I don't know what to say man. I couldn't get enough to play
@klaus-peter thanks a lot for your comment, we really appreciate you liked the visuals ! It was the first time we tried making a 3rd person controller so it is a bit janky, sorry about the discomfort. With more time we definitely would have liked to add some cues to indicate interactive elements, we know it is a bit hard to understand what to do in the game, even for a puzzle-game :/ @neithernathan @gaming-night @noobhereo @srknvrnbskrt Thanks a lot to all of you ! :D It is really touching that you liked some aspect of our game !
Like some have mentioned, I had no idea where to go after the first door. I even ran so far forward to fall into the deep void! Obviously, the graphics are top-notch. But I felt like I didn't get to experience anything with no sound, and no direction. (I didn't play the post-jam version, that way I could give a rating)
That said, what I did see was done well, good stuff!
@colin-misbach If you play again, try using the door a second time ;) Thanks a lot for your comment !
holy moly this was so amazing to play. i'd love to play a full version of this game, the graphics were obviously spectacular and the storytelling was very interesting as well. I considered making a dream-based game but there was nothing I could've come up with that compared to this. I also like that you have to explore to figure out what to do because it makes it even more mysterious and adds to the creepy strange vibe. I love it so much, very nicely done.
Wow, really unique idea, and the graphics and style are amazing too!
wow, bautifull, it seems Botanicula!!! I love this graphic!!
Extremely beautiful I love the artstyle. Love the puzzles too after solving it world reveal feels so good. Although I got stuck on doll in doll puzzle. Only problem would be the character controls. Feel way too out of control. Other than that pretty great game.
I really loved the visuals, that’s an eye candy.
I spent some time playing the game and enjoyed it a lot. Wish you luck with the game!
The visuals are amazing and there are some really creative ideas here, like the reflection of the moon turning into the lampost light and the alarm clock waking you up at the end. The puzzles were a bit unintuitive though, and I felt like I was able to progress only through luck and experimentation, rather than using my head to figure things out. The lack of audio also felt very jarring given that you had a cello and a metronome in the game, but I understand that you didn't have time within the jam. After beating the jam version, I downloaded the post-jam (Windows version) to see how you had improved on it, but when I tried to open the first door, it just played a sound and didn't open, so I wasn't able to progress. I'm not sure why this happened, but it worked after I closed and reopened the game.
Very interesting idea, and visually you nailed it: it feels basically like a surreal dream sequence.
My biggest gripe is the main character controls. The fact that the main character has inertia while moving, made movement process a painful chore. The other minor gripe I have is that the dominos appeared way long before i could use them - it was a little bit distracting.
Even though controls felt bad, I had a fun figuring out all the little puzzles and watching this dream sequence unfold before my eyes! Good job!
