What a great game! I played for a long time! Might be nice to make the mouse a little easier to see.

What a great game! I played for a long time! Might be nice to make the mouse a little easier to see.
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it  Yeah, the cursor being hard to see in the dark was a last minute change problem. It's fixed now.
Fun concept, and it fits the theme nicely. I really like the graphics
This is probably my favorite game so far! Love the atmosphere, art style, and sound. Loved setting up turrets and blasting stuff. Good job!
Okay - it's going to sound like I'm laying it on, but I genuinely liked this a lot and I would love for you to continue developing the idea. Firstly, it might just be my machine but the scroll wheel to select the tool was wildly inconsistent which artificially inflated the challenge. The ability to build where the mouse was instead of being limited to just where my character was felt wrong somehow (but that might just be me). I misplaced things a few times before I figured it out, but it's not as if it really hampers the gameplay. I also wish the graphics were a little less inconsistently themed.
Like I said though, I really enjoyed playing this. I would love to see it further developed!
Your game is very fun! Congratulations on getting this done in 48 hours.
I enjoyed the art style and the mini map was very cool as well.
Keep up the good work!
This was SUPER fun to play, amazing work. It keeps you on your toes with regard to light placement and connections, well balanced with cost and strategy. Amazing!
Cool concept, I feel it needs a bit more feedback for when the player hits something, but I like the base building aspect of it.
What a great game. I enjoyed it a lot. I could see something like this polished up and released as a full game.
Overall I liked it! There are some problems with the web version (you can't see your life and some of the other UI is off screen). I had to mess around a bit to figure out all the mechanics. After I did though I found the core game loop to be fun
So this game is really, really good! I do have a few suggestions for how it could be improved that I thought of. The biggest thing is that it's too easy, and it doesn't really get any harder as you go. I eventually just quit because I was advancing through levels and not really losing more than 1/4 of my health on each floor. Also it would be nice if the icons more clearly conveyed what they were supposed to represent. It took trial and error for me to figure out that the wrench thing was a turret (I didn't play the tutorial, obviously, but good on you including one, because the mechanics definitely take a bit of explanation, though it was fun figuring it out as I went). Also, I couldn't really figure out what I was playing as? Some sort of pre-rendered cube?
I also feel that the turret isn't really appropriate for a game with a focus on forward progression. I wish I could spend my money on something that comes with me, like a gun upgrade or an orbiting drone, but that could be just me. (At least have the turret sell for more, so it doesn't feel like wasted money when I clear the area where I placed it.)
The rest of my complaints are understandable given the time constraint. More enemy variety is needed, and it would be nice if they had some animation. More features in the levels would be good, like traps or locked doors, and music is always appreciated.
Sorry for the novel, and please know that I wouldn't say all this about a game that I didn't like. I just have a lot to say because I spent a lot of time playing!
Wow! Thank you for all of your feedback and kind words! I'm really happy that you played my game and liked it
@threeli I did a bad job with the scroll wheel - it barely works on my machine and I can imagine that it doesn't for you. I think I'll try to fix it. In the meantime you can use keys 1-4 to switch between tools. Overall the game lacks a second polish pass. I'm glad you liked it, and thank you for the feedback
@kraemahz I thought that I've fixed all of the UI scaling problems - I will look into that, thanks!
@quinn-patrick The game lacks in progression aspect unfortunately. I was going to improve on it, but I didn't make it in time :/ Same thing with the graphics, a second pass on it would be helpful. Thank you for taking your time to write such thorough feedback! I really really appreciate it!
Again thank you all for your feedback! I think I might continue working on the game since I really enjoyed working on it during the weekend and I'll gladly take all of your feedback into account then
I liked the building/exploring and shooting mechanic. Pretty fun! Great work!
Fun concept - I did find that its easier to just to and kill everything yourself rather than building but otherwise quite fun.
I tried to run this on firefox / linux, and I get the following error:

This is a nice little game, I did find it a little strange that firing caused my character to move backwards but other then that I really like the game. Really well done.
This was a really nice little game, I quite like the idea although I must say it took me a short while to figure out how it works (partly because top and bottom parts of the screen were cropped on my aspect ratio and didn't see the cost for any of the buildings). after figuring it out it was great fun to expand my area with turrets and lights and reach new stages
@duo-afgebeld I'm sorry to hear that. Unfortunately I wasn't able to reproduce this bug. Maybe it's because of adblocking extension or something?
@deadmanjw Thank you for playing. Player moving backwards is the effect weapon recoil, but I know that it could feel better then what I was able to do. Thank you for the feedback :)
@shp I really don't get Unity's UI logic, this is the thing that I need to figure out before next Ludum Dare. I'm happy that you were able to eventually figure it out. Also the game need some sort of tutorial. I wanted to add it, but unfortunately had to cut it to make it in time. Thank you for your feedback :)
Interesting gameplay! Nice graphics and sound effects. Pretty fun to play.
Some remarks: 1. Enemies feel too heavy and take a long time to destroy. Expectation: less time to destroy enemies at least at the beginning. 2. Descent at the bottom is hidden behind the wall. Expectation: descent is 2 cells above the wall or walls are hidden at the bottom. 3. Monsters are visible enough and turrets work in darkness, so lights feel pretty useless. Expectation: darkness adds some gameplay limitations, e.g. lower range for turrets. 4. Sometimes turrets try to shoot more distant enemies and enemies behind the wall. Expectation: turrets shoot nearest enemies in line of sight.
Hope this remarks will be helpful.
Good entry!
