Amazing Jam game. I love the frantic panic trying to juggle different equipment to fix the submarine, as well as the impending doom of seeing the stupid squid getting closer.
I tried 3 times, farthest I got was arming the torpedo bay with the engine armed (with fully fixed ship). coudln't figure out how to shoot that dam squid.
Overall, really loved your game.
Failed on my first try, but got it on the second! Ran great with Wine on Linux. Fun game, quite involved actually!
Absolutely in love with the aesthetic. Great game. Thank you.

Dense atmosphere. Overall good game!
Absolutely amazed by this one! Easily one of my favorite jam submissions so far.
The mood was really intense towards the end. I legit panicked a bit and messed up my first try lol - I guess that's a good sign - the mood you set is working!
Absolutely adored the atmosphere. There's something about the soundscape, the graphics, and how frantic the gameplay is, that really adds to this feeling of impending doom.
I couldn't quite figure out how to get into the torpedo room, as it's flooded, but nonetheless, I really enjoyed doing everything else!
Awesome entry, loved it.

Yeah @tom-robson @maximilian-ansell it seems a couple of people have been struggling with the torpedo room. The water on the floor is electrified and needs to be powered down, so you have to turn off power with the fusebox and then drain the torpedo room. Power the torpedo room back on and then you can launch the torpedo. Thanks for the feedback!
Very fun game, the graphic style is one of my favorites.
The only issue I have is that objects of interest blend too well with the environment, my suggestion would be to put a small image of them in the manual or highlight them somehow.
Overall really enjoyed it.
I also did not win my first playthrough, and it took me a while to find the captain's room key, but I was able to find it. It was a lot of fun, with truly impressive art, and a wide range of systems. This was very impressive.
I also enjoyed the fish swimming outside the windows.
Fantastic game, a lot of fun. Quite the eerie atmosphere when the submarine is at the ground. A bit fewer things to fix (e.g. all the broken windows) and a proper ending screen would have been the icing on the cake. This is definitely 5/5.

@strangepineapple so, the floor is electrified in the torpedo bay. You need to deactivate the power with the fusebox in the cargo hold. Then you can drain the water with the valve. Thanks!

Very good game, full of activities! So many things to do, so little time! Only after a few failed runs you understand what and where, sprinting through corridors and trying to fix everything! Still haven't got to the happy ending, still running!
This is so so so so so good. I have no words. Everything feels so polished and well put together.
The art style is absolutely my favorite kind (and I'm a bit biased on that, because it's the type of art that I love making as well, those low poly models and pixelated textures, they are pure pleasure).
I was relaxed navigating the sub, until I noticed the giant squid coming closer and it was getting nerve wracking.
Thanks for making this.

Nice game. Failed the firs time because I didn't really understood the game. Then failed again because I couldn't find the soldering iron.
Had fun. Good job.

The graphics have a great aesthetic and the audio was great as well. It was not exactly clear how to fire the torpedoes so one time I fixed the ship and lost because of that. Maybe this could be fixed by pointing out the hit the red button in the "Manual". Seeing the squid far away and then comming back to see it super close is terrifying lol.
I spent too much time looking for the Master Key lying on the table, but appart from that, I really enjoyed a lot your game! The sense of emergency was strong, and Submortem has lots to offer in term of atmosphere :) I would definitely play a longer version of that, with less "fixing something every 2 meters" and more puzzles like the Fuse or the giant Squid :) Good job! Fun fact, we both made a game about putting out fires ;)

Great entry ! Sadly, I lost a LOT of time finding the captain's key, and I could not find the cementing can, and was therefore unable to blow up the squid :< I'd love to play it again if you released a polished version though ! PS1 graphics are on point !

Hey that was pretty cool! Like a frantic 1st person point n click adventure. The Mood and graphics kept me motivated to try again until I finally reached the end (third time I think). It had the right level of difficulty - not too easy, not too frustrating. The controls worked very smoothly and I really liked the retro 3d graphics and the atmospheric music (piano is an interesting choice for a submarine). The constant pounding noise was pretty unnerving, but I guess that's the plan :D Criticism: - I was always suprised when I failed, I found no clear indicator on the pressure meter when my time's up, I'd suggest some kind of countdown or message when 50% of the time's up etc. - The Ending was a bit underwhelming
Apart from than that, great game and I really enjoyed playing it!
I loved it, one of the best entries of the jam, good job!

@flogames thanks for the compliments and criticism! We had some more plans for polishing the experience but we were running out of time as a team. Cheers!
I'm a simple man. If I get a wrench, I go smashing with it. Tried to hit the squid, no chance. Liked the graphics and the mood, however wished for some narrative on the crew, rooms, the fridge... There's a potential for a story-based gameplay, would love to see that!
