Love the jazzy music. Helps set the vibes I had trouble getting a strong break from the top since my mouse doesn't have a lot of room towards the top of the screen. Very chill experience. Great way to wind down after a 48 hour jam :)
The music is excellent! So is the word play--Loop Pool, I get it... I chipped the ball off the table! That felt worth it. The actual donut play arena doesn't ultimately feel like an improvement on pool, but it was really fascinating to give it a whirl!
I got excited the second I saw that you have made a local multiplayer mode, going to play that later today.
The music, graphics and sound effects all come together to create a very relaxing experience. I actually spent about 40 minutes playing the game. It really should be made into a mobile game with different tracks. I would play that a lot actually. I also liked that the circle and the clockwise restriction turned it into a puzzle game, rather than just "plain pool".
You needed to really plan ahead and strategically place balls into good positions for a future loop. I found a good tactic was to line red balls at the outer edge and try to get yellow balls near the inner walls. This allowed me to funnel the red balls along the wall into the hole. I had a really good run going when I accidentally yeeted the black ball and lost. That was kind of the story of my life, I would have a pretty decent score coming up, but greed made me take difficult shots that ended my run. In the end the best score I got was this: 5257e28b595542fe7123949d8d4d7945.png
The score isn't good, but I am happy that I at least managed to win in the end haha. The best part was that it never felt unfair. Every single mistake I made was 100% due to my own incompetency. So far this is the game that I have spent the longest time playing, I really had a good time. The fact that you made everything yourself is just incredible and you found a very unique way to use the theme. Great entry!
Good entry here but I am not sure about the concept :p
The particularity of pool is "geometry" and here it's very hard to know how will react a ball and it's really easy to make a loose train of yellow and black ball on the border of the table and come closer and closer to gameover each time you hit it without wanting it.
Even if I am not sure about the circular pool (my own opinion, bind only myself), I think you have done a very good job here. Music is class, graphics are good and gameplay is really neat. Good job continue like this ;)
My high score was 60.. I think I may be as bad at circular pool as I am at regular pool :P
But the game was fun, nice compo entry. Music set the mood well, game was interesting concept and challenging. You definitely had to plan out your attack and try to keep yourself out of difficult situations, which was fun - definitely noticed myself improving on my second go. Couple of minor issues I ran into were that if you started your turn touching a ball, it wouldn't register it as a tap if you hit it, so you would get a penalty for hitting nothing/yellow. Also if a ball is touching the edge and you hit it directly, it wouldn't bounce off like in real pool, so you could get yourself into an impossible-to-resolve potting of the yellow.
I enjoyed it, nice entry and good work - especially for compo restrictions!
This was alright. The music and graphics are great. The game is fitting. Not really innovative since it looks like normal pool with some features added in to make the game harder. Maybe try to make more types of balls?
Overall Good work!.

Cool and interesting, and well made with great music too. In the end though the actual gimmick of clockwise donut pool gets old quite quick for me. But I'm glad I played it.
Like the concept. Could easily pass as a mobile game.
I think the local multiplayer is so much fun (sadly I can't test it with someone else right now)!
I loved this submission, great job! I could see myself pawing away at this endlessly on my phone if there was a little more polish. I wish there was a little more precision and english involved. I was playing it on the computer and my cursor is bound to the screen. Whenever I found the ball at the north side of the table, I couldn't drag the cursor as much north as I’d like to. I would meet the top edge of the screen.
Great use of the theme and a fun game! Gets perhaps a little boring when down to just the black ball though. Also, mouse being limited to the screen limits shot power depending on where you are!
Nice concept but an indicator hinting ball trajectories would be nice, at least at first. Also the constraint of hitting clockwise is kinda frustrating.
I like the music and idea. It got kinda difficult at the end since you can only go clockwise though. My best score was 94 lol
Definitely difficult, but well executed and a great interpretation of the theme!
