Really enjoyed this one! One thing, I would have like the goal text more towards the center of the screen. I died on the first level checking how many cubes I had. But overall great job!

I enjoyed the aesthetics, and spent a few minutes flying around, but I've found the ship hard to control.
I think that enabling shadows, most importantly for the ship, would have greatly increased the depth perception of the game.
Good job, needless to say! :)
Cool little game. Controls sensitivity is a bit too much. And its hard to perceive distance and height to the pickups - often I would miss. I liked the idea - flying through tunnel, having to pick and avoid stuff and do some maneuvering.
At first I tried it with a controller, and I was only able to move. It could be nice if you add informations about how to control the game in the game.
Overall, the game works quite well and the graphics are nice, however, I thought it was quite hard to perceive the altitude of the ship. And I found the musical "loop" a little too short.
(I did'nt rate you on humor and mood, I don't think that's the point of your game)
Yep this was cool. It felt really intense flying through at high speeds but geez, I suck at controlling the thing haha. Graphics are great and it fits the theme well, nice job everyone!
controls are a little clunky; the left/right sensitivity feel too strong and the up/down felt too weak. it would also be a huge improvement if the camera was more stable with the environment instead of just 100% tied to the ship. the perspective felt really weird, as i was aiming for objects, but my ship flew right past them as soon as i got close. alternatively, avoiding objects was a lot more fun! i feel like if the objects or the ship were slightly bigger the collection would go a lot more smoothly
The game was fun for a bit. Not much variation for a while. I would love to see better controls and a way to help aim as it's a little hard to gauge where to go.
Agreed with other comments on the control. It seems the viewing angle actually comes from behind the ship, leaving it out there as a beacon, rather than other similar flying games, where your thrust is slightly reactive/delayed, and it seems to push the ship from its own rear engines. Maybe adding roll to the ship's graphic would improve this? I'm not sure. As far as general difficulty, I think I would add multiple goals per level, and explain the big gold coins more clearly. Are they prizes? Something to avoid? Ammo? Still not clear. Great work, though, VERY playable. I stayed on until just after the Fly through the loops level, which I had been trying since I saw the first one. It kept me trying, and I think a faster reward system would encourage deeper play. Great offering, thank you for your hard work!
Great game and really nice music!
Echoing some previous comments, I did find depth perception a little hard, mainly when flying through rings, and the ship a bit hard to control at first. Once I got the hang of it I was set though. I wonder if it would've been easier if the ship went around the curve of the loop automatically instead of having to be constantly turning. Might make it TOO easy though. Overall pretty fun! I liked the variety of goals, and that they change.
I like it. Music is awesome!
hey! great work on this one! it was fun to go for a few loops on the Grand Torus haha. the controlls were a lil stiff/ i think it could have been more fun if th controlls were more like that of the banshee from halo but overall nice work!
The camera movement on the horizontal axis is too fast, it makes me dizzy. Maybe slow down the speed and lerp the movement so camera won't move right away.
I agree with the comment above that there is not much depth perception. I don't know if I'm about to get the coin or not.
The flight controls were pretty uncomfortable, either fixing the direction of travel and only allowing lateral and vertical movement might've been a better choice. I liked the variety of objective that you managed to implement!
The game needs polishing of cource, but it was fun. Too bad it was easy and not challenging. Also would love to hear some sound effects.
This game was fun at first, but got kinda boring later. It was kinda hard to control, and harder levels might have made it more fun. The younger kids liked it a lot!
I liked your game my congratulations, I also did one if you want to know, and give me your feedback I am very grateful, this is the link https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/resurrection
nice music and interpretation of the theme, but the controls are kind of tricky. I stopped at the part where they want you to shoot targets because there is no way to shoot as far as i know. still good game
I can belive game has potential but ingame tutorial would be nice to have and also it didnt show bottom UI at all to me becouse my screen res, also no idea how to get point, with those fixes it would be gereat game and i still had fun with it
Thank you all for the feedback! I definitely agree that the controls were a tad too twitchy and the camera controls need some improvement, especially with the lack of guides to aid depth perception.
Just wanted to clarify a couple things based on the comments so far - the difficulty of the game is sort of random - the speed of the spaceship is selected pseudorandomly (creeping upwards per level), and the objectives are also selected randomly from a pool. I did initially support multiple goals per level, but that seemed a little too difficult from my playtesting, though I guess there were probably ways to get it working better.
@the-missing-bracket definitely my bad for not including in-game controls, but left click was the button to shoot. It would definitely be interesting to expand the game to include support for resolutions outside 1080p
Thank you all again for playing and rating!
Definitely a lot of potential here. You used the theme well and the music is great. I like variety of win conditions and the loop texture is funky. I share the concerns regarding control sensitivity and depth perception but that's something that can easily be tightened up post jam if you decide to develop this further. Nice job!
Fun game game, mechanically needs some improving of course but it's pretty well done for being made in three days. Only fatal thing for me is the lack of sound design; the game felt rather empty bcs there weren't any crash/explosion/hit sounds or anything that lets you understand more what was going on as you interact with the game. The music theme is great, but it loops too abruptly.
It was a fun flight game. But I think it would have been better if I used the mouse to manipulate the camera. It's a game with a lot of potential.
The concept is nice, but in practice the rule changes don't feel like they really change the game much. Controls are difficult, and it could really do with a StarFox-style 3d reticule to know where you're going/aiming! But with some work this could be interesting :)
